Earlier when the mirror broke in front of Paro, many said it symbolized 7 years of bad luck, 7 years of misfortune, 7 years of unhappiness, etc. Today Paro sat by the broken mirror pieces. Does this symbolize that her heart yearns to "fix" everything? Does it reflect how she wants to take away all of Rudra's pain and make things go back to the way they were before?
In today's episode we got a shot of Rudra and Paro's reflections in the mirror, and someone on IF commented saying that the fact that Rudra and Paro's reflections were in a separate mirror piece each symbolizes their broken relationship (for now) and how they are so close and yet so separate right now.
However, I would like to add my own understanding of the broken mirror, and yes I do agree with all of the above interpretations of the symbolization of the mirror. I personally think that when Rudra tended to Paro's wound (from the mirror), this symbolized hope. Despite the "7 years of bad luck/misfortune" that is said to come from a broken mirror, Rudra will always be there for Paro through thick and thin, no matter what he says. No matter how broken the mirror is, Rudra will be there for Paro, to comfort her as she feels pain. No matter what happens to the two of them, they will, ultimately, be there for each other.
The broken mirror is a bad sign, but Rudra tending to the wound Paro receives from the broken mirror (metaphorically speaking as well) symbolizes everything that is good. No broken mirror will be able to come in between two soulmates for long.
Side note, a broken mirror symbolizes 7 years of "bad luck/misfortune" which can be another symbolization for the 7 hateful vows that Rudra promised Paro. These 7 vows Rudra WILL adhere to, and Paro WILL get hurt, but Rudra will never be able to actually see her in pain - not for long anyway.
Good luck to the mirror and all that it symbolizes, it'll need all the luck (ironic hehe) that it can get - because it has got nothing on PaRud's divine connection. 😳
