Agree with you!!
I felt disappointed the way Paro was projected. Rudra for once was shown in restrain. His actions, thoughts, conduct were all suitable and sober for the Award function. His accent-free Hindi, his genuine speech, his turmoil over Paro everything was done appropriately. Some posts say there was something missing in Ashish's acting but I didn't think so. He was spot on with his expressions! His confusion, his despair all came through beautifully! His barely contained rage in the function over Paro's words, his body language all spoke volumes about what Rudra is feeling. No complaints there what so ever!! But Paro's barging in to the hall, calling him Major Saab and speaking about her feelings so openly in front of the crowd did not go well with me. Her dialogue did include something about how she would not have ordinarily done this sort of thing but now she is doing it for him didn't convince me at all. Had I been in Rudra's place and had anybody barged in on me like this, would have seen the worst of me right there and then. Comparatively Rudra at least listened to Paro. CVs could have handled the screen play a little better. Could have shown Paro's realization and given her some brain to hold her horses till Rudra returned home and then she could have had her emotional show down with the family!! Why choose the Award function and embarrass Rudra in public in front of his colleagues? Does the woman have no brain? Apparently CVs forgot that part. She has already maligned Rudra's image by calling him Jallad before which I am sure the whole BSD knows about and now with this stunt she has further ruined his reputation. What would be then the credibility of Rudra and the Award that he received? How embarrassing he would feel in the office now. He even was called by his seniors and was given earful I am sure. There are some protocols regarding the Army functions. A certain etiquette. Agreed Paro didn't know any of that but CVs could have done some research and shown things appropriately.
The episode was really disappointing except some genuine comic scenes between Sumer and Mohini and Maithili on her way to some discovery regarding the fire. Paro completely disappointed me and no, no amount of explanation about love striking anywhere and everywhere and making you behave like a fool or opening up in public will convince me today or justify Paro's actions. Nope. I am not buying Paro's reaction to her discovery of love.
