His past, his patriotism, his ego, his hatred - all make Rudra the man he is today. He is tough, he doesn't like to go back on his word. He cares for no one, not certainly for Paro. "She's a criminal, and I believe it, bas!"

Yes, for a split second, maybe! All in that one word "Nahi". When Aman asks him if he really thinks she's guilty, he blurts out Nahi! Coming from Rudra, the one person who had stayed firm on his stance against Paro. that did shock me!😲
Though he corrects the mistake almost immediately, it's enough to give him away. It explains why he has suddenly started going soft on Paro. It's simple, he has started seeing her in a new light! He stays with her day and night, and has ample chance to observe her *observe, really*😉 and it seems his subconscious has made its own notes. Though consciously he's trying to hold on to his earlier feelings for her - as evident from his sudden outbursts, the pathetic attempts to keep his own mind clear actually - he really has started to get the feeling that maybe she's not who he thinks her to be. He won't admit it, he's too egoistic for that. So he's clinging on to his thoughts of her as the criminal, atleast the one who knows "something". And anyway he can't let her go too, coz criminal or not Thakur is sure going to kill her as soon as she reaches her village. And he can't let that happen, well not beacuse he loves her - yet - but just because somewhere he knows she's an innocent soul.
The love track is a whole differnt story altogether. But he has just started to erase the criminal image of Paro from his mind, and combined with the fact that she reads him as an open book and never fails to amaze him, that story is not very far away!😃
