Beef Up Paro's character

I would like to see paro's character beefed up - to be more substantial. She is now just reacting to things around her and that is understandable for the story until now. Going forward we need a stronger and more sensible Paro. They have the best actress in television today. She can utilize her more.

I think the makers are doing a great job telling a story from Rudra's point of view...but Paros emotions and her point of view...gets a bit side tracked in many Rudra focused scenes...initially a good amount of emphasis was given to her feelings...when she was taken in by BSD in their custody...but lately...her reaction to many things have not been getting any focus...

For example...her reaction to the pretend engagement deserved more screen time and space ...than it was given...

Unfortunately the same was sometimes true in Sanayas previously not to be named show...where Khushi's character and her reaction to different things seem a bit disjointed at times...Never the less, the show was a hit and still has a cult following...so this is only offered as a fair criticism not as a reason for dooms day scenario...

Some monologues, or dialogues with her favorite God Shankar...will go a long way...

I think Paro's growth is being shown in a realistic manner. She was a timid village girls and already has no qualms about standing up to Rudra who is the face of her nightmares. I agree that Sanaya is an immensely talented actress but I also think that her talent is being brought to the forefront in the the reserved yet effective way she enacts Paro and her restrained dialogue delivery is actually more realistic than if she was shouting at Rudra. Even though Sanaya is one of the only actresses who speaks volumes with her eyes I would like to see her getting more dialogues.

I initially thought that Paro would be the one to develop feelings for Rudra...given the fact that he was her protector and saved her life on numerous occasions...and of course Rudra does not understand those feelings..so she would have to become strong to deal with her feelings!

But now it seems like the reverse is happening..Rudra is becoming al tender and concerned...while paro is hardly reacting or thinking about anything..so definitely showing her thought process and whether she is thinking about the situation at hand would be good.

One missed opportunity was when she got her suitcase and the baraat was mentioned! There was no reaction at all from her except relief at getting clothes! I would have thought she would remember sadly the life she had been heading for when all this happened to her...her mami...thakurain..Bindi..her husband..her home..but that scene was rushed through!

I think Paro is showing immense sense and strength in her circumstances. She is facing her nightmare head on. She tried every way to get out of captivity, she tried escaping, thought of ending her life, she pleaded with the nurse, CO and tried reasoning with Rudra.

Now under the circumstances what else can she do? Rudra threatened to destroy her village and arrest or kill her loved ones, if she did something, she has taken that threat seriously and Dilsher strengthened her belief that Rudra is capable of doing what he said.

As she heard Aman and Rudra's plan she has decided to come back and face whatever Rudra and fate throws at her. She has nothing more to lose except her life about which she does not care anymore. She wants her freedom but not at the cost of her mamisa, Thahurayan or Thakhur.

She is living in unusual circumstances, with strangers, a ruthless BSD officer, who is also confusing her with some kind deeds, and she has nowhere to run. Obviously she is reacting rather than doing things according to her will. She has no control over her life right now, she is making the most of a bad situation, that requires tremendous resilience which Paro is displaying. She is also not completely giving in, she is standing up to Rudra in her own quiet way, asking for needle and thread, refusing his help to walk, telling him she did not create the MU with his family, she did not ask any remedy for her ankle, she did not ask for his sympathy.

Paro has been shown as a quiet, shy, meek girl from episode one, that is her personality. Unlike Bheendi she is not bubbly or chirpy. She is compassionate and kind and will not to harm people she considers her own even if that puts her in a dangerous situation and that requires immense courage. She even stood upto Thakur, refusing her bidai, when Bheendi could not be located. He had to persuade her to leave for the border.

She is neither dumb nor weak, and slowly but surely she will show her impact and things change slowly, nothing happens overnight. Sanaya is doing a fab job of projecting this innocent, vulnerable, scared Paro who simultaneously is maintaining her dignity and projecting her resolve.

I definitely agree though with some here that writers need to give equal focus to her feelings and thoughts to situations as they are doing with Rudra, to balance things out.

YUP DEFINITELY COMPLETELY AGREE ITS LIKE HER CHARACTER DOES NOT SHOW THE STRONG AND SENSIBLE AND ALSO HER VIEW TO THE GIVEN SITUATION LIKE I KNOW SHE HAD NO OTHER OPTION BUT TO ACCEPT THE ENGAGEMENT BUT THERE WAS NOT MUCH RESISTANCE IN HER TOWARDS IT OR THERE WAS NO VIEW OF HER HOW SHE FELT HOW IT WAS DIFFICULT FOR HER .ANY NORMAL VILLAGE GIRL WITH THIS MUCH HAPPENING IN HER LIFE WILL HAVE TO SAY SOMETHING ABOUT IT.SHE HAS NO CONTROL OVER HER LIFE ..I WANT PARO TO BE STRONG AND NOT MELT DOWN EASILY😲

I think the problem is with the screenplay, they tried to fit in all the family drama, and gave no space to Paro's thoughts. She did talk of her hurt and displeasure with Dilsher, but he told her that it all happened on the spur of the moment. Hoping they will dwell on Paro's feeling more next week. She is definitely not happy, and has said so, but creatives can focus more on it.

On the contrary I think Paro's character is the strongest of them all...dialogues or monologues does not make a strong character...what makes it strong is a woman's conviction and the power to survive In dire circumstances. And so far Paro has shown that power immensely...from defying Rudra in the interrogation...by taking in all the abuse that she has been bestowed...by been treated like an animal or just a commodity. Inspite of everything she voluntarily came back to him to save her village and her aunt. How many in that situation would have the courage to do that ? Wasn't finishing her life the easier way out? But did she ? No. She would rather take suffering and torture than been a coward. That is what a strong character is. Right now she has nothing to be called as an ammunition that she can use to make her situation better...she is a prisoner at the mercy of her captor...she is defenseless right now but she is not refraining from making her point known to Rudra...very silently and steadily she is making it very clear that she is extremely strong.

Rudra will be the one to ask for her forgiveness and at that time she will refrain to give one. Right now I feel Paro's character is extremely well depicted.

I agree. That did cross my mind too when I saw that part of the epi. Yes, we need more reflection on her part so that we know what she's thinking.

Sush, she did tell Dilsher, as soon as they were alone that she is hurt with what he said and her discomfort with being linked to the jallad. Hope the creatives will focus more on it next week, when chachaji and Rudra take her back to haveli as financee.
