She did change out of her bridal finery when she got the first chance. Technically it would be about a week since her husband was shot. She has lost everything that is close to her heart like her mamisa, bhindi, house, etc soon after. She has even been declared dead. That is more than enough stuff for her to deal with. I think she is justified in taking her time in coping with her loss and grieving in her own way. This is the the 21st century let her wear a bindi if she wants to.

I understand ur point of view...am not debating on views of modern india...if a women can marry someone based on snake selection she is bound to do other customs, am talking interms of the concept and character and not in perspective of today's society

Paro's life has turned upside down in a matter of few days. Her husband and inlaws are dead, her best friend is dead, her mami and the entire village has abandoned her, she was held captive and considered a suspect. She doesn't have a home, doesn't have a family, doesn't have her own clothes...so it isn't just about grieving for her husband anymore...it's a question of survival.

She is definitely grieving...I am sure we'll see more of that...but she isn't in a state to really think about traditions.

hello
if you are asking why Paro does not behave like a widow, especially given that she belongs to a culture that expects her to behave like one, the answer is many fold.
a. she barely feels married and hardly knows her husband to mourn or miss him. she mourns her mami and friends more than varun. she mourns the death of the idea of married life, more than the death of a husband.
b. she is in a state of shock and too much has happened in the last few days in her life, leaving her dazed and confused.
c. she is too young and naive to be fully aware of these rituals and may not even know what to do. i am sure once the extended family finds out, they will try to force her to do the rituals.

If they never show Paro behaving like a widow, it will be to soon.

Well Its still taking time for her to sink that she is widow...in such a short period of time she has dealt with lots of things...😕 And now she does not have home to stay or her relatives where she can take shelter or support so she is just trying to deal with circumstances which her bhole nath is putting in front of her😊
