...between two strong men who have one thing aplenty, and in common: testosterone...loads of it. The swagger, the mooch twirling, the booming voice, the attitude, and the one-upmanship. Both are bent on out-witting and besting each other. Amidst their shenanigans , two innocent women, a daughter and her mother-like Mamisa, are trapped. One is forced to bear witness to a gross falsehood, while the other pleads and begs for mercy.
As if the murder of her just-married husband before her very eyes was not enough, Paro is dealt the cruelest blow of all by her Mamisa...she is abandoned, disowned, renounced by her family...and once more she is left all alone in the whole wide world. She, who had lost her parents most violently and tragically as a child, but had been provided a loving home and upbringing by her Mamisa, is now truly alone...truly an orphan. And in a brilliant twist of irony, she is faux blessed by the same man who is responsible not only for her parents' murder, but also this latest betrayal.
Rudr tries to wake the villagers up from their stupor and smell the coffee by reminding them that for seventeen years they have been sending one of their own girls sarhad paar , never to hear from them again...why? Because they are not really brides, but simply serve as a conduit to smuggle arms...and that their revered leader Thakur Tejawat is behind this. But all his reasoning is to no avail...no one steps forward to answer his rhetoric, no one gives him any answer...they all stand mute...totally and completely under the spell of Thakursa. When Rudr sees how nobody is ready to even accept Paro as their own, his anger and frustration knows no bounds.
It was a powerful episode indeed today. The faceoff between Thakur Sa and Major Rudr supplied the fireworks, while Paro and Mamisa's quiet tale of helpless betrayal provided the backdrop. All four actors were at the top of their game!! Masterful performances⭐️👍🏼 This is the biggest draw for me in this show, because the writing has been volatile so far...the strength of the cast is really the bedrock , and till now they have all lived up to their reputation. Along with Ashish, Sanaya, and Tarun Khanna, the actor playing Mamisa nailed it too today...her constant lowered gaze, her helplessness, her sense of shame, and her grief...was conveyed beautifully!
I am glad that they are not jumping into the eye locks and TFC's right away and are maintaining the seriousness of the story. Did not quite understand Rudr's last dialogue..it felt a little out of place because while Mamisa had betrayed Paro, but by not signing on the paper, wasn't Paro displaying her fealty to Thakursa?
Also could not get the import of the precap? He sent the glass he drank from to Paro😕...does he have the ability to turn water into vertiserum just by tasting it?😃
