yup..she is updating..today was little hectic for me..but went well..

Here's part A of the next update...a relatively short one compared to previous ones but wanted to post it today...I didn't get much time to work on it..

Shantanu became anxious when she didn't respond...he patted her face, it had turned pale.

Darling?!!

She's fainted. Your wife has fainted young man! She needs to be laid down somewhere!

He looked up to see his overly made up, chalk white faced nemesis standing next to him looking at his Khanak with concern.

Didn't you hear what I said? Lay her down somewhere!

She seemed to know what she was saying..and right now his mind was numb with fear..he blindly followed her directions.

He picked her limp body up in his arms and followed the lead of the helpful hotel staff to a large settee where he gently laid his precious bundle down, making a pillow with his jacket for her head. She didn't stir.

No, no pillow..she needs her head to be kept down, down below the level of her heart! Can somebody get cold water and some juice?

He stared at the woman as she pushed him away and got busy with his baby..wasn't that what she had called herself last night? She was lying now limp and helpless and he could do nothing but stand around looking like an idiot!

At least I can call a doctor!!

No need to young man! I know what's going on! This young woman is operating on discharged batteries! She's exhausted...probably hasn't had proper sleep in days! And you are probably not helping either!

Shaan had a flashback to the day she had passed out in front of him in the coffee shop and he had carried her to the ER..it seemed so long ago, but the diagnosis at the time was also the same..physical and mental exhaustion.

He immediately was struck with guilt. She was working day and night while he was not making things any easier for her by complaining, keeping her up at night by talking or otherwise ( but then what could he do, she was irresistible.) She had probably not slept for the past 36 hrs or more, staying up to serve his whims , neglecting her health in the meantime. If she didn't want to take care of her health, the least he could do was take care of her.

Shantanu.?..she whispered moaning softly as she stirred awake.

Yes darling! He rushed to her side putting his arms protectively around her shoulders.

She looked at him confused for some time, then looked around and sat up at once abashed to see the crowd;

Is madam okay?

Khanak nodded while the big white irritating though helpful woman said; Yes, yes she will be fine..it's a case of Too much work in too little time...she winked at them while Khanak colored prettily.

What she needs is rest and plenty of it..do make sure she gets it alright? She looked at Shaan meaningfully and walked away.

She sipped on her juice. Then still looking very pale she looked anxiously at Shaan; The flight is in an hour's time, if I miss it then I won't be able to make it to the afternoon clinic..that would be terrible. Can you do something about that honey?

What? You think I'm going to let you leave in this state? It will be like committing voluntary suicide! Look at you..you are barely able to sit up on your own ..I am not going to allow it! For too long have I been blindly agreeing to your illogical requests. Now I will order and it's your turn to listen.

But Shaan?!! ...Khanak pursed her lips when he wasn't impressed.

And we need to have you examined by a proper doctor too..I don't trust that woman even though she allayed my fears significantly by bringing you back to me.

What you need..since you can't hold your weight up!

Khanak blushed as he lifted her up again and carried her to the elevators.

God you will kill me one day...she muttered turning her face towards his chest when he refused to put her down. Thankfully for them, the people inside kept their thoughts to themselves.

My beautiful, way too hard working, who loves her husband like crazy wife, needs to be pampered left and right. I have been neglecting you for so long! Shame on me! I won't let that mistake ever happen again.

She had closed her eyes, which she opened slowly now and looked at him absently. and asked her voice full of innocence;

Mein kahaan hoon?

Khanak!!!! He shouted frightened out of his wits...

She smiled, a glint of mischief in her beautiful eyes;

Oh you need a thorough spanking from your husband..will do so one day soon!
