Sigh friends, me being a die hard shanak fan, am also of strong belief that the CV's still have a chance to bring out the infidelity issue! Maybe this one more last chance... From the precap we see Khanak wiping the blood from Shantanu's jaw and lip, which he probably got from a punch fight with Manglu and gang!!
This is my OS on the precap... of how it could be or could have been.. as it is going to be aired tomorrow.. but this is what I dream tonight!!!

Ajeeb daastaan
As Khanak speaks fear lurking in her eyes along with the swimming tears that spill out, Shantanu cringes but smiles knowing how scared she was when he was punched by Mangal bha!! Anand smiles at the two and decides to leave them alone.. knowing full well that Shantanu is more than capable of looking after Pushpa!! He closes the door firmly behind him...
Khanak is now beside herself and speaks ranting at Shantanu who is irking her ire by merely smiling... "Aapko hansi aa rahi hain... aur yahaan.. yahaan meri jaan nikli jaa rahi hain!! Main keh deti hoon aapse, mazaak bandh kijiye. Apne jeevan ko kabhi to bado ki tarah jeena seekhiye.. bachpane ke bhi hadh hoti hain.. Ek kya kam tha.. jo aapne mujhpar shaq..." she trails off as her wounds have reopened. She had decided to keep quiet ever since the change that had come in Shantanu. But now the fear had loosened her tongue and she has blabbered it out...
Shantanu suddenly stopped smiling and grimly looks at her.. she turns her head away realising that he has seen the hurt in her eyes. She was about to move away when he grabs her wrist and stops her. She tries to rush out of his hold, but he manages to hold her and rising slowly turns her.
She is besides herself with worry and pain from his wound and her misery.. She can't control her tears and feels silly for being like a sissy. she normally is strong and does not cry easily. but she knows that shantanu is hurt and she fears that mangal bha could have seriously harmed his life today if his laathi had hit Shantanu on his head. Thankfully Anand bha had saved that in the nick of time and Shantanu had to be physically restrained from reacting to fight Mangalbha!!
Shantanu gently cups her face.. She jerks his hands away but he persists and speaks in a soft husky voice "Khanak..." With that one word she closes her eyes.. the whole world's happiness as if in that one word.. The way he said her name.. his voice.. felt like a soothing salve on her wounds. But inside she still felt a little resentment.. it showed on her face and sighing in a deep breath he tries again. cupping her face in both his palms he raises her face again and looks at her closed eyes still shedding tears, he hoarsely speaks feeling her pain... "Khanak main jaanta hoon main tumhaara gunhegaar hoon. Lekin maafi ka haqdaar bhi hoon, Kyun ki main tumse pyaar karta hoon. Jaanta hoon ke maine tumhaara vishwaas toda hain, par maine realise, mera matlab hain ke main jaan gayaa hoon ke maine tum par shaqq kar ke bahut badi galati ki hain.. is liye please maaf kar do... kyun ki agar tum mujhe maaf nahin karogi na, to main jee nahin.."
Her opening of her eyes in a flash silences him.. "Bas.. yehi.. yehi aata hain aapko.. Jaan ka vaasta de diya.. aapko pataah hain na, main aisa kuch bhi bardasht nahin kar sakti. Issi ka faayda utha rahein hain aap... Shantanu, aapne mujhe jo dard diya tha.. woh maine kissi tarah se jhel liya, lekin aur dard jhelne ki shakti nahin hain mujh mein.. agar.. aaj.. aaj kuch.. ho jaata to.. main.." She breaks off sobbing fear again taking an upper hand.. And Shantanu feels relief.. knowing that maybe she has not said it, but she does think of forgiving him and smiling with a little relief tenderly consoles her, hugging her as she cries her heart out against his chest. "Main aapko kabhi maaf nahin karoongi.. kabhi nahin.. suna aapne kabhi nahi.."
Even if she is saying something her hands reach around his shoulders and winding them around his neck she rest her head against his chest and clutches him fearing of losing him... and he huskily consoles her.. "Bas.. sh.. kuch kuch nahin hua dekho.. main theek hoon Khanak.. Aur tum jitna chaaho mujh se naaraaz raho, main jaanta hoon tum mujh se bahut pyaar karti ho aur yeh pyaar hi meri taaqat hain Khanak.. Ab tum dekhna, factory to main banaakar hi rahoonga.. Tumhaare Mnagalbha bhi kuch nahin kar sakenge.. bas tum humesha mera saath dena.. vaada karo Khanak.. Pleej"
That makes her smile and lovingly though she punches him on his soulder and he goes.. "Aah.. kitna zor se maarti ho.. tumhaare Mangalbha se bhi jyaada taakat hain.. ouch.." So Khanak smiles and that old shine returns to her face as she shyly looks down and he smiles and touches his forehead to hers.. knwoing that some day maybe she will forget all the pain that he had caused her...
