Shantanu heading towards Dhulwadi-indya.com

Rang Badalti Odhani's current storyline involves Khanak and Shaan having an argument, which results in Khanak going back to her village. We caught up with Shantanu to talk about the misunderstanding.

Do you think that Shaan overreacted, without giving Khanak a chance to explain herself?
I feel that any husband would react to this situation. I personally believe that I didn't overreact when I saw the MMS clip for the first time, explaining to Khanak that such things are common in Mumbai. However, when I saw that she was with Sunny in the clip, then I began doubting her loyalty.

What are your tips to couples to avoid misunderstandings?
I would tell them not to marry (laughs). Jokes apart, I would suggest they communicate and discuss their problems, and not rely on a third person.

What are the five most important factors for a successful relationship?
One should learn to adjust with their partners and give them love, care and support. Communication is essential for a successful relationship. Mutual trust is an important factor, as well as emotional and intellectual compatibility. Most importantly, there should be friendship and respect.

What is the best way to convince an upset partner to forgive you?
Good communication is essential. Also, you need to understand how your partner is feeling.

If you were in Shaan's situation in real life, how would you handle the situation?
As Karan..I wouldn't have gone to Dhulwadi to bring back Khanak.

Since you play a singer in the show, which song do you feel describes Shaan and Khanak's current situation best?
I think Yeh Dooriyaan is our song for now. But now, I have to go to Dhulwadi to bring my wife back.

Have you seen any of Hiten's shows? What do you like about him as an actor?
I've not watched too many shows before I became an actor. I'm, however, excited to meet Hiten Tejwani, as I've heard that he's a very relaxed guy and a great actor. I knew that he acted in Kyonki Saas… and Kutumb, but I never saw the shows.

How is the experience of shooting with Hiten? How is he off screen?
I haven't started shooting with him but I've heard a lot of good things from Swapnaji

Are you excited about the Dhulwadi track? What can we expect next in the show?
Yes. I am looking forward for this new track. There would be something different. You will have to wait and watch.
