Written Update - May 12

1. FIL stops Mangal from hitting Khanak. Sarpanch takes Mangal along with him for a one-on-one conversation. Sarpanch explains to Khanak that dont be stubborn. There is no happiness in this house. Khanak tells him that she is contended with Suraj's memories.

2. Sarpanch comes out and tells FIL that Khanak's love for Suraj has become her enemy as she feels that if she finds any happiness beyond Suraj's love, then she will be committing a sin and hence she is running away from her happiness. He further argues that Mangal and Hetal will not let her live peacefully and hence, FIL and Bai are the only ones who can make her understand that this house is a daemon for her. Bai agrees that if Khanak cannot get happiness in this house then its their responsibility to let her go. Khanak overhears the conversation

3. FIL explains to Khanak that he would want to see her whole of his life, in front of him but he cannot be selfish. He has always considered her as his daughter and hence, as a father he is asking her for the Kanyadaan rights. Suraj's sis comes and informs them that Bai's medicines have exhausted and they need more medicines. FIL assures that he would get the medicines tomorrow. Khanak knows that FIL doesnt have money to buy medicines so she tells FIL that she will buy them.

4. Akshay tells his father that workers have gone on a strike in Dhulwadi. The workers are very angry and are not letting anyone work. The father is worried. Akshay informs them that he has told Chowksi to offer more money. Akshay leaves. Shaan's father is about to say something to his wife when she stops him and tells him that the children are at home...let the marriage happen and anyways, in few days, we dont have to....and she leaves the sentence in the mid... (I guess they have decided to separate after Shaan's wedding)

5. Khanak is outside the house. She is sad that she couldnt arrange for the medicines as the medicines were for Rs 300 and she didnt have enough. The shopkeeper refuses to give the medicines as FIL already has taken a Rs1000 loan from him. Khanak remembers how Suraj wanted her to take his family's responsibility. She wonders whether she is wrong in refusing Shaan's offer of accepting the money. She prays to god to keep her FIL and Bai out of difficulties. She gets paranoid wondering that what if FIL has to sell his house to arrange for medicines. She decides to make a decision quick.

6. Shaan tells Mulji that he is worried because although Mulji has accepted to marry Khanak, Khanak has refused. Khanak overhears this. She looks apologetic. She tells Mulji she has something important to talk to him. She asks Mulji if he has said Yes to marry her? Mulji says Yes. Khanak tells him that before she says yes, she needs an answer from him - why should she marry him? Mulji tells him that he will keep her happy and take care of all her needs for whole of his life. Khanak asks him whether he would take care of her FIL and Bai too? Shaan nods his head and seeing this Mulji agrees to do that too. Khanak is happy and wants him to consider Suraj's family as his own from today onwards and take care of them. Mulji agrees. Khanak agrees and tells him that she needs Rs 1300 for Bai's medicines. Shaan makes signs to Mulji to go ahead and he would take care of it later on. Mulji agrees and gives her the money. She accepts the money and thanks Mulji. She request him to not break his promise. Khanak tells Shaan that she is ready for this marriage. Shaan is happy.

PRECAP - Khanak decides that the house will be painted with Suraj's color - Yellow. Shaan tells Khanak that in few days she will be married and she would go away from this place forever, but still she is doing so much for this family. Khanak tells her sis-in-law that even today where we eneded money for Bai's medicines, Mangal and Hetal didnt offer any help. She tells her SIL that Hetal lies that she has sold all her (Khanak's) jewelry although she still has all her jewelry. SIL tells Khanak that they have to expose Hetal but Khanak wonders how. SIL tells Khanak that she would do something that will make Hetal open her cupboard....
