ook firstly a warm welcome🤗
secondly kindly use help desk for all such querries😉
thirdly help:
when you bought the cam, i am sure the vendor gave you a data transfer cable . conncet the cable to your computer . if your computer works with windows xp, you donot need to install the camera separately but if its a lower version, then install the camera using the cd provided and following the instructions of the cd, install the cam just the way you install any driver like printer etc. if you haven't installed any driver on your own before, ask someone to do it for you first time and watch closely
do not try to play along with installation of any hardware, even if its a external hardware like camera.
if your OS is XP, then simple plug in th data cable to any usb port of your computer and in the data cable port of your digicam, ie connect the cam to your pc, automatically windows will detect the new drive and install it, just click on all yes, continue anyway if there is error in license etc.
while doing all these:remember to switch on your camera and keep it in display mode.
so your camera is installed.
now next step. for experts like us: the camera is another removable drive just like a pendrive, so we open the drive like we do open any drive, then go straigh to the folder where all photos, videos have been stored and cut paste in desired destination. you have to check a bit and see all the folders to know which folder has the original documents.
if its a sony camera: the pictures are stored inside the default folder of 101 MSDF inside teh folder DCIM
if you have problem doing this way, simply install the photo downloader software that you have been given in the installation cd and it will help download all the photos and videos.
ok so your pictures are now ready on your machine. go to any image hosting site like
www.tinypic.com
www.photobucket.com
www.imageshack.com
upload your images
once uploaded you will get an image code for forums that start with [IMG]. copy it and paste it in your post
voila your picture comes
for videos:
digicams record videos as mostly MPEG videos and all such videos recorded in a digicam( i am not talking about the MPEG file type) are lofty in size like for a 5 min video the file size may be 176 MB( and i am not kidding). if you r not familier with video ediitng, i will recommend, try your hand with photos first and i will teach you videos later.😉
by the way, once you load teh video in your pc, make sure to play it,
trick to a good video recording is your hand should not tremble.a minute trembling will case big fluctuations in the video recorded. so watch it first before you decide to upload. there is no point wasting time and patience uploading a video if no body watches it or after watching no body appreciate it.
if you want to post videos of episodes regularly, make sure to talk to the dev team members coz normally there are more than one video updaters.
if there is any problem, pm me or use the help desk, please donot create any more topic like this.😃
