yes..ur rite tan..dashrath's life wasn't a really happy one..this is a sum-up of his life-

dashrath was the 7th raghuvanshi king. he was the son of raja aja and rani indumathi. He was named dashratha as he was known to have the energy of riding ten chariots at the same time.He was crowned king at a very young age and his father and mother retired to the forest. So he actually didn't have a very good childhood. His mother-indumathi died before his father in the forest when a flower from heaven touched her head. it is said tht she was an apsara(damsel) who was cursed by a sage to be born as a mortal and tht she wud assume her real form after a flower fell on her head. Then one day when dashrath had gone hunting he heard a gurgling sound and thought it to be that of an elephant. He shot an arrow at it and at last it was shravan kumar. When dashrath owns up to shravan's parents they curse him saying tht he also wud die out of grief when his son wud part from him (thts why dashrath dies when ram leaves ayodhya). dashrath instead of being sad thanks shranvan's parents by telling them tht by cursing him he is atleast sure tht their will be an heir born to him to succeed him. (gr8 person na😊)

they say dashrath is one of the three people in history who knew the art of "shabda bedi baan". the others are eklavya and prithviraj chauhan.

hope u guys liked the info 😊

wow!! another great info. by u vaishnavi !!! (camella) .

i was not knowing tht KING DASHRATH didnot have a happy childhood ,it's sooooooooooooooo sad tht dashrath always suffered in his life😭 .

same i feel for prithvi raj chauhan too !! 😭

i really has tears in my eye😭😭 when i saw the emotional hug of RAMA-DASHRATHA in thursday's episode when RAMA said tht father i wanna hug u once !! & then dashrath said why once son!! at tht time RAMA had tears in his eyes & he answered tht who knows father tht after becoming the king whether i wud get the chance of hugging u or noT!! 😭

just like dashratha, RAMA too suffered all his life😭 ,even when he won over ravana then too he didnot become happy as he had to leave SITAJI for ever n ever !😭 so IN RAMAYAN WE SEE NOBODY WAS HAPPY IN THER LIVES FOR LONG !! 😭

it wud be very-very emotional to watch the RAMA-SITA , LAXMAN going to exile !! in the coming up episodes😭 .

VAISHNAVI!!!!! DO KEEP POSTING SUCH GREAT INFO. ABT RAMAYAN !!!! it's always a pleasure to read all the info related to RAMAYAN 😛.

yes and at his deathbed he will recound the curse of Shraban-noone knew that before

dasarath and eklavya are mythological characters and historically only PRC knew Shabdvedi

however its true dasarath inspite of all the wealth and power he had, always feared the end Shravana predicted.

Thats Precisely why Ramayan and the Mahabrata hold a very special position in the world literature😳

because of the mulifaceted stories, and tehre is always another side of everything nothing is absolute😊

even The Incarnation of god Lord Ram is not Absolute either😃

yep..ur rite tan..n in ramayan there is an ideal for every relationship..like siblings, mother-son , wife-husband , devotee-god , guest-host, king-public , etc...even the 'ideal villain' exists in ramayan 😆 ..on the other hand mahabharath is a story defining emotions n how different ppl react in different situations ..if we can learn from victories in ramayan then we can learn from the loss and mistakes in mahabarath 😊

Ramayan centers round Mainly Ram and shows how a human being can by practise of teh fundamentals of life can reach at the Prime of humanity-but even then he will ahev his mistakes and misconceptatiosn, even manipulations, Balibadh being one such
