1st Contest & Ishqiya Review
Posted On:31 January 2010 at 12:00am Comment: 17View: 632

Hi friends,
Getting to the 1st ever contest on our blog - As you see the picture above, we want you'll to come up with an imaginary dialogue between the two of us. Yes guys, that's the contest! The dialogue may be funny, mushy, cute, anything! The best ones will receive a surprise call from the two of us... So guys, get your creative minds thinking! We can't wait to see what you'll come up with!
Now getting to Ishqiya! There have been quite a few Bollywood movies out since the New Year came in, the latest being 'Ishqiya'. We managed to remove some time to unwind with this latest release and it surely didn't let us down!
After seeing the promos, we knew we could more than expect from this movie. Naseeruddin Shah is a phenomenal actor as usal. Arshad Warsi, as we all know is hillarious with his comic timing and kept up to his brilliance this time too. And the surprise as she has always been- Vidya Balan, was a star in her own way. Her performance was remarkable and she enacted her role very well. Inspite of sharing the screen with two very talented male co-stars, she managed to not let herself get over shadowed.

The entire movie was very gripping and the interest remained constant through out its duration. As its story unfolded, our eyes were only glued to the big screen. Not once did it seem boring or to be losing track. The cast only added in making this film a must watch! Each of the three's performance deserves a huge applaud and many congratulations. They were powerhouses in their own unique ways. Especially Vidya Balan! She moulded herslef well into her character and pulled it off with ease. We are now even bigger fans of her!
Our only complaint was with its end...It was a little confusing and left us a little lost! But all in all, 'Ishqiya' was fantastic! It was wonderful to watch such a Bollywood movie after long, with a truly different story line, just two but very catchy songs and a star cast whose performance was quite impactful.
We would rate it a 4/5 and insist each of you watch it at your cinema halls soon. We assure you all will have the same opinion on it. Do let us know if you gave it a thumbs up, like us too! Enjoy
Love,
Gurmeet and Debina.....................

new message from GURMEET alone
India is everyone's, we are all one!
Posted On:12 February 2010 at 12:00am

Hi guys!
As most of you must have already been informed by the news channels and papers about the youth favourite, Rahul Gandhi and his latest out of the box 'local' experience! What an amazing thought! That too coming from a politician, right??
I was able to relate to this mainly because of my upbringing... India is everyone's and we are all one! My grandfather and dad are from the army. So I have patriotic blood running through my veins ever since I was born. My army background makes me feel for every corner of our country, every one of our diverse and several communities. And at this stage, it is very important for public figures from not only within our industry but even outside, to set a good example.
Rahul Gandhi is one such example. He is one politician and probably the only one I know of, who believes in the strength of this country and its people. He genuinely loves his people and supporters. I was very impressed to know how he travelled by train, with all classes of our society and got a brief glimpse into their fast paced lives. It shows how benevolently he stepped down and got himself familiarized with the aam admis's lifestyle. It's a very impressive and must act for our politicians today. Such acts only cement the country's work force and power more. Just like one finger is no good, but all five together, making the fist is impactful; similarly all Indians together can create miracles as a team, like they have been
Jai Hind!

Valentines Day Then & Now!
Posted On:18 February 2010 at 12:00am Comment: 56View: 1177
Gurmeet: Hi friends! Debina and I are both bubbling with excitement to tell all of you about Valentines Day and our past celebrations!
Debina: Its all because of Guru that this day now has meaning to me. Before he entered my life, it was a regular day and I found its trend ridiculous. But now I understand why a certain day is dedicated to love, for your loved ones.
Gurmeet: Lets brief them on how we both made this day an everlasting memory last year!
Debina: As all of you know that Goa is THE most romantic place to be in, we made the most of it last year on February 14th, taking in all that Goa had to offer from morning to midnight!
Gurmeet: Yes. We really did! We did water sports from morning till late afternoon 4pm!
Debina: The thrill and waters and adventurous sports were sooo much fun! Only the tan wasn't
Gurmeet: But we didnt have time to be bothered about that! Right after we were starving like never before! As a result, we ate our dinner AND the lunch that we forgot about (LOL) till the moon was out and the clock struck 12!!!
Debina: Sounds unbelievable, right??
Gurmeet: We kept eating and mucnhing in the Goan shacks, only to remember how we had to reach Baroda the very next morning!
Debina: And all we were up for was Goa and its lifestyle!
Gurmeet: Debina, we sound like such children! I wonder what the on-lookers mustve thought of us back then!
Debina: Two youngsters madly in love and enjoying doing everything together!
Gurmeet: You're right
Debina: The icing on top to this wonderful day was our gypsy ride! With the breeze blowing through our hair and not letting us hear each other talk
Gurmeet: That was the best ride of my life. Just you and me
Debina: Inspite of that, I actually felt like we were with a hundred people!
Gurmeet: Like they say..two is company!!!
Debina: Ya I think had there been others with us we wouldve forgotten about them and continued our endless long conversations!
Gurmeet: True that! Its amazing how we can talk for hours and never get bored
Debina: Do you remember on our first Valentines Day how you gave me a surprise??!
Gurmeet: Yes yes..I said I had to head back home to Colaba from yours at Oshiwara but decided to suprise you by staying back!
Debina: You called me and I couldnt hear your voice because of lack of network and you asked me to go close to my window to gain signal, only to find you down! :) :)
Gurmeet: Your excitement then over the phone was legendary!
Debina: I was really happy you stayed back for me..and almost everyday of our first year was full of surprises from your side! Absolutely!
Gurmeet: Are you saying my love is fading away for you now??!
Debina: ..NO! You just gifted me the most adorable dog, Dexter! You still continue to catch me by surprise and make my day
Gurmeet: That is what love does to one..!
Debina: And I caught you by surprise this Valentines day!
Gurmeet: Not once, but twice! The shirts you wrapped and gifted me with the red roses at 12 made me feel what I make you feel with all my surprises!
Debina: The second surprise was better I think since it was a dinner with our usual long chats over yummy food
Gurmeet: The cake at the restaurant was good too! I must say you planned both the surprises flawlessly! I had no idea!
Debina: So I should get an award for the best debut surprise??
Gurmeet: Definitely!
Debina: Lets hope our friends out there have cute love stories themselves too
Gurmeet: Im sure they do. If you love someone, the rest just follows naturally!
Debina: I second you on that for youve given me all reason to
Gurmeet: Yupp Lets have our fans tell us too their memories of this LOVE'ly day!
Debina: Yes friends. Even we would like to know your thoughts and memories on Valentines Day
Gurmeet: Cant wait to hear from you all!
Love,
Gurmeet and Debina
