Happy Bhaiya Dhuj to all of u...
Tosday in newspaper i read that it has been celebrated with different customs in different place..
as per our custom we just put tika on brother's forehead and offer him some sweets... and got some money...
actually in our cast this festival is not so prominent but because in Delhi it is celebrated with great enthuasim thats why we do all customs...
plz. share how u guys celebrate this day...
well i read about the custom of UP , Punjabis and bengali...in newspaper
In punjabis while putting tiks they sing some lines regarding good health and life of the brother quite gud one.. but i could not recall tht...
and in Bengalis it was written tht... they collect the dew drops and put it on heir brother fore head that is quite amazing ...
and regarding UP i could not recall it...
but plz.. tell how u guys celebrate this festival eager to know....

Happy Bhai duj to all. Rajnish Avinash happy bhai duj. oh i missed this thread. so im late in wishing
Sam I m a bengali. We do tilak with Sandal wood paste on Bhai Duj. on the day before Dwitiya (duj) known as pratibat we put tilak of soil (from the roots of tulsi plant) on the fore head. Durba grass-dhan is also used. We put durba grass on head the remove it. then we put tilak on forehead. While putting tilak we say some line in bengali (wont write nobody will understand) praying for the well being n long life ot the brother. Its a occsion for family get together for us. This time I made lot of shondesh for bhai phuta
