Hiš³, I'm a new member in India Forums, and my name is Durga. I love the Ramayana and Mahabharata, and also lots of other puranas.
I live in Los Angeles (in California, United States), and I'm a 14 year old High School Student hoping to become an elementary Social Studies Teacher in the future.
I live with my two parents, 10 year old sister (Radha) and 8 year old brother (RamaKrishna). We are Telugu Brahmins.
I like NDTV Ramayana, because in this day of Indian Serials, mythologicals are necessary to boost people's religious knowledge. I think Debina Bonnerjee and Gurmeet Choudhary are really good in their roles as Rama and Sita, especially Gurmeet. Ankit Arora as Lakshmana is doing okay, and the actor who is playing Hanuman is really good too. But I don't think the actor who is playing Ravana (who is he?) is doing that well. His dialogue delivery is really poor, but the actress who's playing Mandodari is pretty and is doing good. We have Dish Channel in the US for the Telugu Translation of Ramayanam, and I think it is a bit behind the Hindi one. In the Telugu Ramayanam, they are showing the part where Jambavantha and the vanara sena are convincing Hanuman to cross the ocean and search for Sita in Lanka. Then Sampati helped them.
I bought the DVDs for the older Ramayana just last year, and I really love that too. I definitely see a lot of similarities in the old and new Ramayana, and they're both really really awesome!š I think the Sagars are Awesome directors!
