With the arrival of Janak Maharaj from Mithila every one is hopeful that he would find a solution to the predicament every o e is at the moment .

Janak Maharaj n his queen have emotional reunion with Janaki .

Bharat pleads Janak Raj to persuade Ram to return to Ayodhya .

Janak assures he will do what was correct n lawful .

Bharat goes to Mata Kaushalya and asks her to order her son to obey her n return to Ayodhya but Kaushalya says she can not misuse her affections for Ram n make him break his promises n go against Dharma .

Kaikeyi goes to Ram n pleads him to forgive her ..but he states he never considered her wrong or sinful . What ever happened was because of his father’s promise n he will fulfill that . He never blamed Mata Kaikeyi for anything . She takes back her boons that we’re granted by Her husband n frees Ram from his promises but Ram refuses to give up the word he gave to his late father .

Next morning a meeting is arranged n Maharaj Janak is asked to arrive at a descision suitable time all as he was the seniormost.

Janak declares that Bharat had proved that his love for Ram reigned supreme . Love was a force that made Gods to bow down to the wishes of true lovers . But loving had its rules .. if you loved some one truly you would do what your loved one wanted .. he asks Bharat to go to Ram n ask what Ram wanted , Ram tells Bharat that he wanted to keep his word he had given to their late father n he wanted Bharat to return to Ayodhya n rule the kingdom in. His absence . Bharat has no option but to agree . he ales Ram promise that he will return exactly after 14 yrs are over n not delay or Bharat will give up his life .Ram gives him his word .

Bharat then requests Ram for his Charan Paduka .. which will be placed on the throne in Absemce of Ram n Bharat will sit on the floor in fro t of thrown n rule the kingdom on behalf or Ram

Janak leaves the reigns of Ayodhya to Bharat n returns to Mithila .

Bharat gives up luxuries of Palace n puts on clothes of a sanyasi n lives in a hut outside the palace just like Ram n Sita loved in the forest . He ate fruits for meals .. Kaikeyi comes to meet Bharat at his hut but Bharat refuses to accept her as his mother .. asks her to go back to palace n live the life amidst luxuries that she had chosen for herself . Kaikeyi return to palace n finds herself all alone .. Kaushalya n Sumitra are heart broken . Urmila is ordered by Bharat to fulfil the duties of good bahu n take care of Mata Kaushalya in absence of her beta bahu .

Bharat rules the kingdom from the hut ..
