Chapter 19

Next day morning Asad was sitting on the couch in his Armani and was reading some business news, Dilshad came there with a coffee cup and handed it to Asad

Dilshad: Your black coffee

Asad took the coffee from her with a small smile

Asad: Thanks Ammi

Dilshad smiled back and sat beside him and Asad kept back the newspaper turning towards her

Asad(chirpy voice): so what's your schedule respected home minister?

Dilshad: oh it's a same daily tiring schedule to be a perfect home minister!

Asad: we don't want a perfect but a happy home minister so smile and boast up my day

Dilshad(just chuckled): okay if you want me to be happy you can bring an assistant to help me with this tiring schedule

Asad(sipping the coffee): I think we should be back to normal Ammi

Dilshad: okay okay I'm not annoying you early morning

Asad was shocked hearing her answer

Asad(shockingly): you don't want to talk about marriage thing now

Dilshad(casually): no I think when the time will come it will eventually happen so I left it

Asad: Ammi can you say that again I will record it

Dilshad: Asad!

Asad just side hugged her with a small laugh

Dilshad thinking while hugging him "when the time will come it will happen and I can feel that time approaching really fast"

Dilshad: okay Asad, how is Zoya? I mean how she is at work I found her really sweet and innocent

Dilshad was keenly looking at his expression

Asad's smiled ripped off his face hearing Zoya's name as her yesterday's word was still ringing in his head

Asad: She is just another employee who is getting paid for her work and Ammi you know I don't have so much time to personally notice each and every employee's activity and we have our HR team to do that

With that, he kept the coffee cup and took his laptop bag to leave

Asad: okay Ammi, I'm leaving

Dilshad(just nodded): okay beta have your lunch on time and make sure Ayaan also eat his lunch instead of some junk food

Asad: sure Ammi don't worry

With that, he went towards the main door

Dilshad(as soon as Asad was out of sight): ya Allah why is my son so complicated yesterday I saw some soft corner for Zoya in his eyes and now he is again behaving like an I don't care brat

Dilshad sighed and took the coffee cup from the table thinking, "Zoya is such a nice girl!"

With that, she went from there

Dilshad construction:

Zoya just came and sat in her cubic going through the soft copy of the design and after some time, Asad entered the office, directly marching towards his cabin followed by Rohan who came running with Asad's schedule seeing him

A small smile formed her face seeing him but then immediately composed herself conscious of the surrounding and continued her work

Asad's cabin:

Asad and Rohan was engrossed in a discussion when he got a call he received it, after some heated discussion he disconnected the call with furrowed brows

Asad(turning towards Rohan): Rohan our new project "Blue Heights" that tower project who all know about that

Rohan: sir it was kept very confidential only you, I and Ayaan Sir know about it, we have not even leaked it's detailed to HR department, what's wrong sir?

Asad(massaging his forehead): its tender amount has been leaked

Rohan stood up from his place with an extreme shock expression as it was really an important international project

Rohan(shockingly): how is...how is it possible sir it was deeply kept under wraps

Asad: that's what I don't understand according to our sources Tejas Singhaniya younger son of Subhash Singhania is the one who leaked it

Rohan: but how did he get access to our tender amount

Asad: that's what I need you to find out (with a sharp tone) as soon as possible

Rohan just nodded and left from there

Asad glanced at his watch as it was a time for conference call so he moved towards conference hall, here even Zoya was going to conference hall as the conference was related to the sea link project, she was having some files in her hand as she was rushing she didn't notice the wet floor ahead due to which she slipped and lost her balance scattering all the files

Zoya: Allah Miya!

She closed her eyes tightly waiting to hit the floor but then nothing as such happened she felt a strong grip around her waist, she slowly opened her eyes and there was her savior one and only Asad Ahmed Khan, well they shared an eye lock for a moment though how badly they want to avoid it but it's something with happens naturally though it was just for a second it seems like ages to them, Asad was the first to come out of the trance making her stand properly on her feet, there was an awkward silence between them which was broke by Zoya

Zoya: Thank you... Actually

Asad: jammed door, wet floor how do you end up perfectly in such places

Zoya thinking, "haw! What does he trying to say"

Zoya: I didn't see...

Asad(cutting her off): never mind

He glanced around the surrounding where the files were scattered, Zoya immediately bend down picking up the files, Asad was above to help her when yesterday's conversation came to his mind making him fume so he went past her

Zoya looked at his retreating back with the confused expression

Zoya thinking, "Allah Miya! What's wrong with him today, why is behavior seems weird"

Zoya just shrugged off collecting the remaining file she carefully moved from there while moving inside she saw Asad in a serious conversation with Rohan she just shrugged it off and went inside, all were present in the hall when Asad marched inside fuming in anger

Asad: AYAAN!!!

Ayaan and all the other staff present there stood up seeing Asad in so much anger, he just stood facing Ayaan and threw the file on his face, Ayaan was too shocked to react anything he held that file

Ayaan: bha...

Asad(sharp tone): go through it!!!

Ayaan(reading the file): Blue heights project

Asad: exactly blue heights project whose contract has been slipped away from our hands because (glaringly) someone leaked our tender amount!

Ayaan's eyes widened hearing that

Ayaan(shocked): how...come?

Asad(gritting his teeth): you tell me that!!! Or tell me why you leaked it!!!

It was another hit for Ayaan

Ayaan: you think I did it? (Hurt filled voice) how can you think so low of me

Asad: I know that you can never stoop so low but I also know that you are very irresponsible towards work and now, DC have to bear such a loss of your irresponsibility for the first time we lost such a big deal BECAUSE OF YOU!

Ayaan: how can blame me like this!!! Why will I...

Before he could continue Asad played a video clip on his mobile, Ayaan recognized that video from his friend's birthday party which he had attended some weeks before and it was a conversation of him and his best friend Tejas Singhaniya where he was asking about the project in the middle of the friendly conversation Ayaan revealed the tender amount

Ayaan: that was not my intention and Tejas will never do that to me

Asad(shouted): JUST SHUT UP AYAAN! I know that was not your intention but is these even the topic of discussion in the parties! You should bloody know what business matter you should talk, specially when that person has a connection with our rival!

Zoya was witnessing everything in shock and absorbing everything like others

Zoya thinking, "Ayaan should have been more careful but this is not the right place for this discussion and this Akdu is not realizing it in his anger"

Ayaan: but Tejas...

Asad: was the one who leaked it!

That was the big blow to Ayaan he never expected this backstabbing that too from his best friend

Zoya thinking, "Asad Sir please stop!!!Don't say things which you will regret later"

But he is Asad Ahmed Khan whose anger is something which is unstoppable

Ayaan(with a guilt): I never knew he would do such a thing

Asad was extremely angry for losing such an important deal due to this carelessness

Asad: exactly how would you know that! For guessing such things one should have Sensibility, Maturity, and Responsibility and you have none of this! Ayaan Ahmed Khan! For the god sake grow up and...

Before he could continue he was distracted by the sound of something falling he turned towards the source of the sound and it was a vase lying down and Zoya standing beside it with an apologetic look but because of that he realized the surrounding where all the eyes were on them, he immediately composed his anger and marched outside in frustration giving one last look to Zoya and Ayaan

Asad(muttering): I'm sick of all this!

Here even Zoya sighed in relief well Asad was going out of the board in anger and she was not able to see the loving bro like this that when her gaze fell at the huge vase which was placed in the corner of the conference room where she was standing so hoping for the best she pushed it down making it fall and it created a distraction for Asad and he realized he was going too far in anger

Here Ayaan was too embarrassed to even move his gaze upwards as he knew all the eyes were on him, he was having a deep urge to disappear from the spot, Tanveer was also witnessing everything composing a smile she was enjoying this as she hates Ayaan , she would be the happiest if there would be a rift between them as Ayaan most of the time comes between her plan to get closer to Asad, so she just decided to add fuel to the already worst situation

Tanveer(turning to Sheena and also making sure Ayaan hears it): That's sooo sad it sounds like a very important deal that's why jammy kept it so confidential he didn't even mention it to me!!! But look still we lost the contract because of...never mind , I sometime wonder what would have been the future of DC if Asad wouldn't have been here to handle things

Sheena(joining her): yes Maam, AAK handles everything, I just wish if people is not capable of making it easy at least don't make it difficult for him

Ayaan just moved out of the office in the haste not able to take it anymore and getting inside his car he started the engine and stormed off, Zoya was feeling bad for him but then what he did was indeed a big carelessness

In Asad's cabin:

Asad was very much frustrated and annoyed as he had never reacted like that before with Ayaan, he always ignores his mistake as he is there to mend it but this was something very grave and it was necessary to make him understand but since he was very much angry, he really went too far. After some time, he dialed Ayaan's number but he was not receiving it

Asad(sarcastically): Great! First, you make mistake and show tantrums

He decided to check on him so moved out towards his cabin

Here Zoya wanted to do some work-related discussion with Asad so she came to his cabin but then he was nowhere to be seen

Zoya: where did he go? I will come later she was above to leave when she heard a loud bird's sound it sounded like it's wailing

Zoya thinking, "where does this coming from"

With that, she carefully looked around the cabin

Ayaan cabin:

Asad entered inside searching for Ayaan but he was not there he turned around to move out when Rohan entered

Asad: where is Ayaan?

Rohan: After what happened in the conference room he left from here even I came to check on him but I think he has not yet returned

Asad again took out his mobile dialing Ayaan's number when Rohan interrupted

Rohan: sir co-investors of blue height wants to meet Ayaan sir

Hearing that Asad kept back his mobile looking at Rohan in confusion

Asad: why do they want to meet him?

Rohan: Sir they got to know the reason so they are saying they need his explanation

Again anger took over Asad

Asad(angrily): they ordered and you came to call him! Who are you working for, me or them?

Rohan: sir they won't leave without...

Asad: they need answers I will give them one, bring them to my cabin, let me meet them who want to question my brother in our firm!

With that, both of them left the cabin and Asad went straightly to his cabin

Asad's cabin:

Zoya realized that the sound was coming from the window, so she moved towards the window pulling the curtain aside, her eyes widened seeing the pigeon whose wings her stuck in the AC duct and it was wailing as it was not able to free it, Zoya immediately opened the window to help it but as soon as she did it there was a heavy wind blowing since it was 28th floor due to which all the paper on Asad's table flew down scattering on the floor

Zoya didn't notice anything and was just stretching out her hand to that bird but it was not reaching. at that time Asad entered his cabin and was shocked seeing the papers scattered all over the floor, he looked up towards the window and saw Zoya there and that was the final stroke

Asad(shouted): WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM!!!

Zoya was taken aback hearing his shout and turned around to see the mess and Asad standing there throwing daggers at her if looks could kill then she would have been drop dead by now

Zoya: sir I...

Asad: JUST SHUT UP!!!

Zoya just gulped nervously

Asad(angrily): all this occurring was less that you have to come with different set of difficulties for me...

Zoya(fumbling): sir...I...jus...just want a to...this bird

Asad: here you go again! Stop fumbling and tell me straightly, is this a place for bird watching...FROM THE TIME YOU HAVE ENTERED EVERYTHING IS GOING WRONG

Zoya was not knowing what to say if she will again try to explain him she will fumble which will annoy him more, she just looked out but now that bird was not wailing as it was completely exhausted and was closing his eyes

Here Asad's blood was boiling seeing her looking out of the window as if nothing serious is going on

Asad(sharply): you know what...GET OUT OF MY CABIN NOW!

Zoya was now shivering a little and tear rolled down her eyes hearing his tone, she took a grip on herself and moved towards his table instead of getting out confusing and annoying Asad at the same time, she took a bottled water and again went to the window and opened the cap of the bottle and poured the water in the cap and moved it out of the window towards the bird who immediately started drinking it as it needed it a lot and here Asad was looking at her as if he saw an alien

Asad thinking, "there's something wrong with her! What is she doing? Should I call the doctor, did I trigger something wrong"

He slowly moved towards her and looked outside to see what was she doing and there he saw the pigeon drinking water and his wings trapped in the duct, Asad sighed in relief thinking she's not crazy but then again this girl made him feel guilty for his behaviour, here Zoya again tried to reach out to the duct but was not able to when she saw another hand beside her doing that she looked up to see Asad standing just behind her, due to wind her hair was caressing his face, he liked her scent but then immediately control his emotions and moved the duct releasing the bird who immediately flew away, Zoya turned around facing him and seeing him so close her heartbeat accelerated again and on the other side a wind was giving her tough time as it was messing up her hair and she trying to hold it together and here our hero was on her own dreamy world admiring her actions, she again turned around and closed the window stopping the wind and sighed in relief even Asad landed back on earth and immediately took a step back maintaining a safe distance and now there was an awkward silence where Asad felt guilty for shouting at her and Zoya was hurt by his words though he was angry, she didn't know she was irritating him so much, his words were still ringing in her ears "FROM THE TIME YOU HAVE ENTERED EVERYTHING IS GOING WRONG" before anyone could say anything Rohan entered the cabin with the investors and was shocked seeing the condition of the cabin

Asad: Rohan take them to Ayaan's cabin we will talk there

One of the investors spoke hearing it

Person: that would be better, we want to talk to that guy. How can he...

But then he was cut off

Asad: Ayaan Ahmed Khan! Before you speak know whom you are talking about and what consequences it can bring

He immediately kept quiet looking down

Asad: Rohan

Rohan: yes sir! (turning towards them) let's move to Ayaan sir's cabin come

With that he directed them outside, Asad just looked at the mess in his cabin and then at Zoya. He just sighed moving out of his cabin, Zoya just wiped the tears from the corner of her eyes and bent down picking up the papers

Here Inside a huge organization, Tejas Singhaniya was working in his cabin when Ayaan entered his cabin like a storm and directly marched towards him punching him so hard on his face that he fell down from his chair

Tejas getting up holding his bleeding nose

Tejas: what has got into you...

Before he could complete he was welcome with another punch, he was above to punch him again when Tejas held his arms

Tejas(angrily): enough is enough!!! (shouted) SECURITY!!!

Ayaan pushed him hard and was again marching towards him but then the security guard came to his rescue and held him tightly by his arms

Tejas got up wiping his blood from the corner of his lips

Tejas: now tell me what's your problem?

Ayaan(angrily): you backstabber!! How could you do this to me you moron!!!

Tejas(smirking evilly): oh that! Now I get it you are here for answers! (Leaning back on his table) I would have given you one but you know there's no point wasting time in that, as it would just go above your head but yeah if AAK would have been here in your place I would have given the proper justification because a businessman will understand not a kiddo like you

Ayaan fumed at it and was trying to come out of a grip but was not able to

Tejas(laughing sarcastically): you just chill man! It's just a single deal it won't affect your OPPS correction your brother and father's business empire at all! You will be getting your pocket money on time!

Ayaan(shouted): you f**king...

Before he could complete Tejas punched him hard!

Tejas: no more talks! (turning towards the guards) throw him out now!

Then again turning towards Ayaan

Tejas: if you're planning to create a scene do let me know I will provide you some audience you know paparazzi they are always available when it comes to DC!

Ayaan came and sat inside the car his hands gripping the steering and fuming in anger thinking about all the occurrence, he speed up the car all the images where flashing in his mind Asad lashing out at him, the look he was getting from the employees, Tejas Singhaniya, Tanveer mocking him everything just took such a toll in his mind that he was not at all concentrating on the most important thing at that time, yes his driving. A loud horn brought him back to the present but then it was too late he saw a speeding truck coming from the opposite side, he tried applying breaks but his car was already running in 270 mph, he immediately took a drastic spin resulting his car hitting a tree instead of colliding with the truck but that was so hard that he banged his head hard on the steering making him unconscious

Here Humeira was in the taxi going back home when she saw the car in fully damaged condition and a hand hanging out covered in blood

Humeira(to a driver): Bhaiya, stop the car!!! Someone has met with an accident

Driver halted the taxi immediately and she got down out of the taxi running towards Ayaan's car, as soon as she opened the passenger door an unconscious Ayaan falls on her arms, Humeira was extremely shocked seeing Ayaan that too in such a condition, she immediately pressed his forehead with her handkerchief stopping the blood which was dripping

Humeira: ya Allah! What's all this!!!

Humeira(shouting at the driver): what are you waiting for! We have to get him to the hospital immediately come help me!!!

Driver rushed out towards them and helped her to carry him to the taxi, they lied him on the backseat carefully placing his head on her lap and driver went back to his seat heading towards the hospital

Humeira(restlessly): Bhaiya how far is the hospital ?

Driver: madam it will take around 10 to 15 minutes

Humeira: okay! Make it fast!

Humeira was cupping his face from one hand and pressing her handkerchief which was fully soaked in blood on his forehead with another hand

Humeira: I have to inform Najma!

With that, she dialed her number but she was not receiving the call

Humeira: she might be in lecture! Now, what will I do! Baji! Yes she can pass on the news to his Bhaijaan

Humeira dialed Zoya's number and she picked up after two rings

Zoya(arranging the paper on Asad's table): yes Gudiya?

Humeira: Baji!...

Hearing her extremely tensed tone she kept the paper aside completely concentrating on her call

Zoya: what happened Gudiya? Where are you? Are you okay

Humeira(crying): no baji nothing is okay, I was coming back after purchasing the book when I saw an accident...(and she filled her with rest of the details)...baji (looking at her blood filled hand) it's a lot of blood!!!

Zoya: ya Allah Ayaan! Okay, Gudiya firstly you're a strong girl so don't panic you can handle this now take a deep breath and tell me which hospital you are taking him?

Humeira: hospital I don't know driver said we will reach in 10 minutes wait I will ask him...

Zoya: no no no don't bother him, let him drive, you turn on your GPS I will track you down

Humeira(wiping her tears): okay

Zoya: you're my strong girl! You can do this!

Humeira: yes

With that, she disconnected the call

Zoya: Asad sir!

She ran towards Ayaan's cabin
