'I am so happy zombie, my first show' 'and I am happy for you asad' they were outside in the garden of his house...they had celebrated whole night and it was time for sunset when they sat outside talking with each other 'asad' she called out to him after sometime 'hmm' 'I need to tell you something' 'yes go on zombie' he said
She took in a deep breath 'asad I don't know how to tell this to you, we are childhood friends and after nanu I have only you in my life, I can't loose you but I can't even hide it from you...asad I..I love you, I have always loved you, since the day I understood the meaning of love I have been In love with you please don't take me wrong but I always wanted to confess it, you are everything to me asad and I just can't imagine spending my entire life without you asad..it's always you and...' she kept on going without even realizing asad's reaction while he just wanted her to stop the moment she uttered I love you ... 'zoya' he almost shouted making her jump
'just stop this nonsense...we are best friends but I don't feel anything for you, I have just stepped foot in a new phase of life and you have already ruined my happiness...how can you say all this, there can be nothing in between us except friendship' saying so he stood up, tears were flowing down from her eyes as she looked away listening him 'you should go home zoya I will ask my driver to drop you back at your apartment' he said and walked inside his home leaving her there, alone and after that day he kept ignoring her caring least about her feelings until she walked out from his live for always
'Good Afternoon' he was out of his thoughts as zoya greeted him and misha...they were in her office and she was late 'I am sorry for making you wait, It hardly happens as I hate making others wait but I was stuck in traffic and that's why I called my assistant to show you guyz the contract beforehand...did you guyz went through it?' She asked politely and signaled her assistant for her coffee
'Yes it's all done..we have gone through it and are satisfied we were just waiting for you...' 'sounds good..so please sign it and if you guyz are free today so let's go i would want you to come with me so that I can show some good venues also we still have to decide how many functions would be there' 'not today we have a shoot lined up...can we do this venue hunting tomorrow...' 'sure' they then signed the contract
'Can I use your washroom please? ' misha asked 'of course...afifa show her the way' she ordered her assistant...they both left leaving her alone with him.. he was eyeing her silently making her aware about his intense gaze but she kept on ignoring it 'zoya' he called out her and she sighed frustrated to the core 'why the hell are you so stubborn Mr.Khan ... didn't i requested you to not to call me with my name?' She asked a little loudly 'zoya can't we sit and talk like two mature people?' 'what the hell ... are you insane I have been quite clear about it, there is nothing left to talk...and I mean it' 'but still I want to talk to you...10 years zoya it's a very long time...do you have any idea how much I searched for you and how much I missed you but you just left...you should have contacted me zoya when nanu was ill...we we're best friends zoya I had a right to knew. ..' he went on but it was getting impossible to stay calm at whatever he uttered
'shut up asad..just shut the hell up...what right? You lost that right yourself and what friendship? There was no friendship asad, you finished that so called friendship of ours yourself and you are talking about these years what about those months when I tried contacting you in every possible way but you didn't cared asad...you just didn't cared...I called you, I came to your sets, I came to your house that too not once or twice I did that so many times that I had lost the count...but you were adamant to not to meet me...yes I did a mistake by loving you but you gave me a huge punishment by pushing me away so so far that when I had had enough I left...I choosed this way..I choosed it just like you choosed that...it was my decision and you don't have any right to talk about it...now I am just working as your wedding planner and there is no relation between us moreover if you again tried to cross your limits then I don't care about any contract and I won't plan your wedding...choice is yours...think about your love not about that name sake friendship' she was loud and clear and he was guilty, very guilty and so it was decided they there was nothing left to talk
Days passed by, zoya was planning his wedding in the best way possible, no doubt she was way too much professional...3 weeks have already passed and now after two days his wedding functions will start...last week when dilshaad and rashid along with misha went to see the preparations they were surprised to find zoya but she behaved extremely professional with them which hurted them but later that day he found her at his door steps for the first time, like some formal guest she stood there with a flower bouquet
She apologized to rashid and dilshaad and reasoned that she didn't wanted misha to know anything as she don't want her past to come in front of her in any way and misha would had asked such questions which must had depressed her so she choosed to behave different and they understood and so she spend the rest of her day with his parents...she didn't talked to him even once yet he enjoyed everything as the silect viewer of everything...she behaved like his zombie , as if the past 10 years never happened as if they were still the same but the truth was they weren't and he was the reason, she was honest enough to come out clear about her feelings but he was coward enough to not to deal with it and thus the way he choosed ruined everything, even their pure bond of friendship
He was very guilty about his each and every action but alas!! he might not ask for forgiveness anymore as she don't want to hear one...it was his sangeet ceremony, the last function before his wedding and after one more day he and misha will get married but he doesn't feel happy anymore in fact as the time is nearing he is feeling restless due to some unknown facts..there were so many dance performances by there friends from industry and the next would be their but suddenly the light went off... zoya was the first one to freak out...she ran here and there to check the connections and he couldn't help but get worried about her...
'Zoe zoe relax' they all heard someone, 'hie everyone, I am...ahh will share later but let me share this peice of knowledge first that I am a guest but I am personally related to the bride and groom and I am not invited by any of them in fact I have invited myself but with due respect Mrs.Khan have given me permission for it so...' before he continue further zoya was on her way to stage, spot light over her as she reached the mysterious guy 'this wasn't pleasant mohid' she said and just then lights came back, they all could see zoya with a very handsome guy, she was upset but he seems quite relax 'sorry zoe...but whal shall I do, you are working on your birthday and I couldn't get anytime to spend with my bestie on her birthday, that's why I approached groom's mum who happily gave me permission to ruin this sangeet' he explained adorably and she just shook her head
'You sometimes get over my head mohid...and still I am not happy with it so come with me' she was firm and was leaving when he held her hand 'arey wait na..respected bride and groom can I get just 5 to 10 minutes of your function please...I just need to celebrate her birthday' he requested turning to asad and anika... asad was boiling with jealousy, she has always been her best friend and only he had celebrated her birthday in every crazy way he could then how can this guy take his place, he thought that after sangeet he would wish her personally but this guy ruined it but misha was excited 'you two are so cute and Z.K I finally understand why you ask everyone to adress you as Z.K because there is already someone who call you with your name...you must be possessive, that's sweet and yeah we can give you enough time to celebrate her birthday' 'thank you Miss Priya...you are looking really pretty btw...and zoe wait here I will get the cake' saying so he rushed out while misha dragged asad to the stage 'Happy Birthday Z.K' she wished hugging her and asad he stood there quiet ...
he wanted to wish her just like before how he would surprise her at exact 12 then how the rest of the day he Will keep gifting her gifts and they would go on a ride and will watch their favorite movie and will have fun throughout the day but now he couldn't even decide that how to wish her .. mohid brought a lovely cake and they cut it together, zoya was happy with him and he envy him... later she and mohid excused themselves from the party leaving them to celebrate and he and misha did dance but the happiness and excitement for it was no more and he was clueless about it
The next day passed in a blink, asad got many calls from Misha but he choose to miss them all, he was being weird, for the first time in past two years, he had almost ignored misha, this had never happened before, he always had felt a pull towards her but today just a day or we can say just few hours before their wedding he was felling emptiness around him and what irritated him the most was the fact that he couldn't come to terms with the reason that why he is doing what he is doing
She has always been the best, the patient one, the supportive one, the loving one, an amazing friend but why do he fell that nothing is right, why do he feel that even though she have always been the only person he thought he have felt a pull towards still today at where he stands, accepting that she is the one for him doesn't seems right to him, that today for the first time he felt like questioning his decision of taking his relationship forward with her
His mobile rang again and he couldn't help but answer the call letting out all his frustration over her leaving her gasp... he threw his phone away not able to come to terms with his behavior
He sat on the couch and rest his head on the back...his eyes shut tight and his mind working on it's own accord...everything that he had been feeling since quite some hours now played in his mind yet again until it came to halt when his thoughts rested on some certain zoya.. zoya, their past together, the time when because of him there friendship ended mercilessly and now at the present when she from past few weeks was very close to him yet so far, she was still zoya but not the zoya he knew, she was not his zombie and it bothered him to feel all this, to go through all this and everytime they came face to face with each other her cold and strange behavior hurts him, it bothers him and it literally kills him... and everytime it happens he realizes how much his behavior had hurted zoya
Still he can't stand with her strange behavior anymore he need to set things right between them for his own sanity, he knew he was being selfish yet again like he was years ago but still he didn't had any other option as he need to do this, for himself and for something they once named as friendship which was left broken yet tied somewhere in time because of his own stupidity and today he felt the urgency to correct what went wrong because of him
It was 10 pm , only two hours for zoya's birthday to end...he made his mind and along with a gift he prepared long ago as her memories with him, he left for her place...there was so much he wanted to talk about, he wanted to know how she was in last 10 years, who had been with her because always use to say that it have always been him and nanu then how did she spend all these years without him...there was so much and he can't wait to be with her
