Chapter 15

Zoya came back home after the long day still thinking about termination letter and then Asad's words

Zoya thinking, " Allah Miya! What's wrong with that man...chalta kya rehta hai unke dimaag pe! When he was all set to terminate me what made him change his mind!from the time I have seen that letter this question is eating up my brain"

She sat on the couch she was very tired after all the day occurring

After some minute Humeira came there with a tray of juice in her hand

Humeira: tadaaa a fresh sweet juice for my sweet sister

Zoya looked at the juice and glared at her

Zoya: your exams are going on and instead of studying you're doing time pass in the kitchen!!

Humeira: baji...

Zoya: what baji! It's your last year for god sake please focus!

Humeira: baji! Yesterday was my last paper so I'm free for some days

Zoya quickly glanced at the calendar

Zoya thinking, "how can I be so careless"

Zoya: I'm sorry gudiya, in all this work mess it just slipped my mind

Humeira: it's ok baji, I know you are busy with that sea link project

Zoya: shoot the project! You tell me how were your exams?

Humeira: it was awesome! Don't worry baji, you have juice(extending the glass towards Zoya)

Zoya(taking the sip): nice! So your exam went so well that you made juice for us!! Chalo I'm relieved

Humeira: common baji! I don't need any reason to make juice for you, in fact, I have even ordered a pizza for us come let's have it

Zoya(with a huge smile): really!!! (stood up from her place) let's go and have it

But Zoya stopped in a mid way and turn around and looked at her suspiciously

Humeira(nervously): what happened baji

Zoya: exactly! what happened suddenly? first juice then pizza so what you want Ms. Humeira Siddiqui

Humeira: nothing just like that!

Zoya: really?

Humeira: ye...yes not a big thing

Zoya: I knew it! Now shoot

Humeira: baji tomorrow I want to attend Najma's birthday bash

Zoya: I know that

Zoya: excuse me?

Humeira: come with me na baji

Zoya(chuckled): nice one gudiya!

Humeira: baji!! I'm serious

Zoya: really? Then you must have lost it, how can I attend someone's birthday bash whom I have never met before

With that, she went towards her dining followed by Humeira.

Humeira: she is my best friend you know that

Zoya: that's why you should go, what will I do over there surrounded by strangers

Humeira: all my friends knows you and I talk so much about you that all wanted to meet you and Najma has specially invited you, plz baji why you doing this

Zoya: try and understand gudiya you know I hardly mingle with others even your friends will get bored with me

Humeira: but I never get bored of you

Zoya: that's because you're my sister but so can't expect same from others

Humeira: baji don't think much about it

Zoya: besides I won't get leave also

Humeira: don't take leave just come half day

Zoya: you think that HR will approve it

Humeira(annoyed): why is that bitch hell behind you

Zoya(sternly): gudiya!

Humeira: sorry! But I hate her!

Zoya: what she did to you?

Humeira: she has done enough to you to top my enmity list

Zoya: she is just doing her job and also you know I'm not a party person so I'm not coming

With that, she went to her room and Humeira sat in the dining chair defeated

Khan mansion:

Asad was sitting in front of his laptop going through something in Google

Asad(looking at the screen): fear of being enclosed in a small space or room having no escape such as elevators, windowless rooms, cars and even tight-necked clothing

Flashback(from ch 8):

Zoya(sobbing): I was... I don't know...it was dark with no escape... I felt like being choked...as if I will die.

Asad thinking, "that's why she got so panicked in that store room but how did she get this fear?"

Asad(typing): causes of claustrophobia

He opened one of the links and started reading it

Asad: claustrophobia is mainly caused due to birth trauma or by one of the most horrendous experiences victims have during their lifetime, and it is this helpless moment that the infant or a kid develops claustrophobia.

Asad in a deep thought "it's so awful, but why does she develop claustrophobia birth trauma or horrendous experience? Maybe birth trauma"

but then suddenly he remembered something

Asad: that day when she fainted in the store and when I was carrying her to my cabin she was calling for her Ammi subconsciously

Flashback(from ch 8):

Zoya(murmuring): get me out...Ammi help...Ammi

Asad went back to the deep thought linking all the incidents their first meeting when she blast out at him then the next moment she was scared as if he was going to eat her alive then the store room incident and then today's incident when that jerk was insulting her so much and she was just standing there helpless his fist clenched thinking about Akram, he calmed himself and came to the conclusion again glancing the word "horrendous experience" in the screen

Next day morning:

Zoya's house

Zoya was setting the table after breakfast when someone ranged the doorbell

Zoya wondering, "who might have come this morning"

She opened the door and there standing a chubby girl with her ever glowing smile

Zoya(not able to recognize the person): yes?

Najma(with a smile): this is Humeira's house?

Zoya: yes it is and I'm her sister you are?

Najma(excited): I'm here to meet you only

Before Zoya could react Najma gave her a quick hug, Zoya was taken aback by her sudden move

Najma: hi I'm Najma! Humi's friend

Zoya smiled hearing that

Zoya: not just friend but best friend I know, please come in!

Najma smiled at her and came in

Zoya: please have a seat

Zoya suddenly remembering something

Zoya: it's your birthday today right! A very very happy birthday day to you may you have a rocking day and glowing future

Najma: thank you so much di! I can call you that right?

Zoya(cupping her face) :absolutely

Humeira came there hearing the doorbell

Humeira: baji who had come

Humeira was shocked seeing Najma

Humeira: NAJMA!!!!!

She went to her and hugged her tightly

Humeira: Happy Birthday My teddy bear!!

Najma: thank you so much humi!

Coming out of the hug

Humeira: so birthday girl what are you doing over here

Najma: well I came here to invite Zoya di

Zoya thinking, "why didn't I leave early! Allah miya what's wrong with you Zoya! poor girl came all the way to your home that too on her birthday just to invite you and you're thinking like this, but what to do I hate parties"

Humeira: Najma I told you...

Najma: yeah that's why I'm here!

Najma turned towards Zoya

Najma: Zoya di what's the problem? Ok leave it, let's start fresh you are attending my birthday party right?

Zoya: me?... I mean...Humeira will attend kyu gudiya?

Humeira: I told you Najma, baji will not come

Najma: common Zoya di you can't do this even I'm like your Humeira and you are denying the birthday girl, I know you will not spoil my birthday so you are coming?

Zoya(looking at her puppy eyes): ok, ok I will come!

Humeira's smile widened hearing it

Najma: yay!! Thank you so much Di

Zoya smiled thinking, " now the problem is how am I going to convenience Tanveer ma'am! I have to do something "

Dilshad construction:

Zoya was inside Tanveer's cabin and was going through the file and Tanveer was doing her work in her PC

Zoya: maam where are Khanna industries new branch's design?

Tanveer: I have already gone through it and there are no loopholes

Zoya: that's good but still I will go through its design once because I don't want that Delhi project scenario to happen again

Tanveer just rolled her eyes annoyed she can't stop her as Asad had given this new responsibility, so without saying anything she gave that file to her

Rohan entered the cabin

Rohan: Tanveer did you announced about the half day?

Tanveer: no Rohan I have prepared the application will mail it to everyone

Zoya looked at Rohan confused

Rohan: actually today is the birthday of Rashid sir's younger daughter since she is the princess of their house so every year it's a half day on her birthday that's why Asad sir and Ayaan won't be coming today

Zoya: ohhhk

Rohan: Zoya you take care of all the design approval for today

Tanveer: have you lost it, Rohan! Design cannot be approved without Asad or Ayaan

Rohan: Tanveer I know what I'm doing! Don't interfere please and besides its Asad sir and Ayaan's decision

Tanveer fumed at it but she again can't do anything about it so continued her work cursing Zoya

Zoya thinking, "What a pleasant coincidence! I got half day without seeing her tantrums"

Evening at Khan mansion:

Zoya and Humeira was standing at entrance looking stunning to kill our heroes

They were mesmerized seeing the house and the beautiful interior

Najma: baji it's...

Zoya(completed her sentence): beautiful!!

Najma was talking to her college friends when she saw them, she happily went towards them

Najma: finally you guys came! I'm so happy, thank you di!

Zoya(smiling): pleasure is all mine

Humeira(giving her the gift): Happy birthday again!

Najma: thank you!

Najma: please come in!

Zoya: you look stunning dear!

Najma: Sacchi! Thanks di

Humeira: beautiful gown!

Najma: bhaijaan's choice he gifted it to me

Humeira: you're looking more beautiful in it! What yaar you planning to kill everyone on your birthday

Najma(blushing): anything humi! Infact you both are looking equally stunning

Humeira thanked her and zoya smiled at her compliment

Zoya thinking, "her bhaijaan has a good taste"

Nikhat, Nuzzat, and Aisha came to them, Humeira introduced everyone to Zoya, she found all of them sweet except for Aisha, she was good but there was something in her which seems fake, she shrugged it off as she thought she is overthinking again

Nikhat: Najma where is uncle-aunty?

Najma: abbu's best friend is getting settled in status with his family so ammi and abbu went to farewell him at airport they will be here soon

Nikhat: ok

Aisha(glancing up towards Ayaan's room direction): what about your precious brothers, I mean how can the actual party start without our cool dude

Humeira: cool dude?

Najma was above to answer but was interrupted by Aisha

Aisha: there are many people in our lives whom you don't know, I wish you were our childhood friend instead of just a college friend

Humeira was bit hurt by her comment but she immediately masked it behind her smile which only Zoya and Najma noticed

Zoya felt like slapping her tight seeing Humeira's sad face but then she composed herself as she didn't want to spoil someone's birthday

Najma immediately changed the topic

Najma: don't talk about my brothers one is busy in his work as he is not interested in parties and another one was soo excited that he is still not done with shopping

Nuzzat: baji, you think bhaijaan's shopping will get over before the party ends

Najma: yes, he is on the way or else he is so dead

All of them giggled at it

Humeira spotted Imraan talking to someone

Humeira: IMRAAN!

Imraan looked their direction and sighed in relief seeing Humeira, Najma just rolled her eyes as he was ignoring her since morning, Zoya just chuckled seeing their antics, Imraan rushed towards them but in hurry, he tripped in the couch and was above to fall but he immediately balanced himself In that process splashing all the juice in his glass on Zoya's face and neck

Zoya: Allah Miya! What's wrong with you!

Imraan: I'm so sorry

Najma: Di is right, what's wrong with you! Since morning you are acting weird! Did you bang your head somewhere before getting here?

Imraan(to Zoya): I'm so sorry, I just tripped there(pointing towards the couch) and...

Zoya: its ok

Najma thinking, "he's ignoring me again! Go to hell Imraan Qureshi"

Najma: come Di I will take you to washroom

Zoya: yes please, but you don't have to leave the party just tell me where it is I will go there

Najma: no I will come with you to make sure you don't get such warm welcome again (glaring at Imraan)

Zoya just smiled seeing them and went behind Najma

After they went from there Humeira went near Imraan

Humeira: what the hell are you doing Imraan, you are supposed to make this day more special for her instead you're annoying her

Imraan: what to do humi, look at her she is looking drop dead gorgeous in that gown making me more nervous

Humeira: in nervousness, you spilled all the juice in my baji's face

Imraan: I didn't do that intentionally for god sake

Humeira: that's why you're standing here in one piece

Imraan(teasingly): oh!I'm scared! At least look at yourself before threatening

Humeira: in this situation also teasing me is must right? Focus Imraan focus

Imraan: ok ok the plan is on!

Humeira: I doubt that now looking at you, by the way where is the location?

Imraan: come I will show you

Here Najma was taking Zoya to the washroom when an another group of her friends surrounded her to wish her she excused them and came to Zoya

Zoya: Najma it's your birthday today and all your friends over here is eager to wish you it won't look good if you keep them waiting

Najma: but...

Zoya: I just have to wash my face you just tell me where is the washroom I will manage

Zoya: are you sure di?

Zoya nodded at her with a smile

Najma: ok go upstair from there you can use the left side room's washroom that's my room

Zoya: ok thank you

One more thing guys since Zoya and Najma was standing facing each other so Najma's left side is Zoya's right side ;)

Zoya entered the room and was again mesmerized seeing it, the room was so beautiful all the dark colors used as a theme and the king sized bed placed in between was giving it a classy and royal look

Zoya: wonderful! But looking at Najma it doesn't seem that she loves the dark combination. Where is the washroom? There it is

She saw the door was not locked so she directly went inside

Here Asad had just finished his evening bath and was standing near the shower only in his full-length track pant flaunting his sexy six packs. He was drying his wet hair with a towel when he heard a sound of water flowing he stopped his task and slowly moved the blur curtain aside to know the source of voice but then shock would be an understatement for Asad seeing the angelic beauty in front of him washing her face

Asad(mouthed): Zoya!

Asad thinking, "this is too much now! I started hallucinating also, (little confused) but I have always seen her in formals, in my hallucination why is she wearing this dress!"

He looked back at her he was again drooling over Zoya. Her eyes was tightly shut and was continuously splashing water on her face and was rubbing her cheeks to remove the stickiness and her hair flix coming in between as usual

Asad chuckled seeing it, he unknowingly took some steps towards her, he raised his hand and stuck that hair lock behind her ears touching her forehead in process

Zoya got panicked as soon as she sensed some touch

Zoya(screamed): Ahhh!!! WHO IS THAT!! Help! Help

Asad was shocked at this reaction

Asad thinking, "damm she is real!"

Asad immediately covered her mouth with his palm

Asad(bending near her ear): shh! Stop screaming!

Zoya found that voice familiar she was not able to see properly as in rush some water went inside her eyes, she rubbed out her eyes tightly from her one free hand and then opened it to be welcomed by her handsome hunk's face

Zoya sighed in relief seeing him but then the next moment, she looked back at him her eyes widened seeing him there

Asad: Why are you screaming!

Zoya: hmmm..nmmmhm

Asad: what?

Zoya indicated him by looking at his palm which was still covering her mouth, he immediately took back his hand

Both were still in big shock that how did they end up there, Asad was still not fully convinced that she was really there, out of everywhere in his bathroom, Zoya was equally spell bounded by this, she was just looking down not able to analyze anything finally gaining some strength she looked at him that's when she noticed his six-pack abs as he was standing shirtless all the gained strength left her in seconds

Zoya: Allah Miya!

She immediately turned around that's when Asad also noticed that he is standing half naked in front of a lady, he immediately wrapped the towel around from the back of his neck and he too turned around both of them cursing the faith for making situation soo awkward for them and also equally shocked seeing each other.
