Part 1
(Flashback)
Mahira and Azaad were best friends in middle school. They were inseparable and did everything together.
"Let me call Azaad and remind him of our movie plan today" said Mahira.
"Azaaad" yelled Mahira into the phone.
"Whaaat?" yelled Azaad back.
"You promised that we could watch Kuch Kuch Hota Hai today"
"Oh right, come over and we can watch it"
"Yayy, okay, I will ask Mom to drop me off"
"Okay"
Mahira hung up the phone and walked into her parent's room.
"Ma, can you drop me to Azaad's house?"
"Why do... oh, right movie plan" said Seher.
"Yup, so can you drop me?"
"Fine, go ahead and get ready"
"Okay thanks Mom"
"Anytime, my sweet angel" said Seher smiling.
Twenty minutes later Mahira was in the car on the way to Azaad's house. After reaching there Mahira rushed to the door and rang the doorbell.
"Beta, don't rush so much" said Seher.
"Sorry Ma, really excited for the movie"
A few seconds after Mahira rang the doorbell a middle aged woman with a smile on her face opened the door.
"Seher, Mahira, what a pleasant surprise" said Salima.
"Come in, come in"
Seher and Mahira both went in. Seher sat down on the sofa while Mahira turned to Salima.
"Where is Aza.. "
"He is in his room beta, go ahead"
"Great, Thanks Aunty"
Mahira made her way to Azaad's room and stopped at the door when she saw him surrounded by tissues.
"Did you start the movie without me?" asked Mahira noticing his red nose.
"Nai yaar"
"Then why are you crying"
"Not crying crazy, I'm sick"
"Ohh, so now what?"
"What, what, we are watching the movie for sure"
"Okay, great give it to me. I will put it on"
Ten minutes into the movie Mahira was crying while Azaad was sniffling because of his cold.
When the line "pyaar dosti hai" came Azaad was already asleep and Mahira looked at him and smiled.
