Angst filled episode ...
Jannat arrives at the cocktail party on Shaad's arm. As soon as she arrives, it is Aahil who can see her discomfort in her outfit. He thinks Shaad must have made her wear it.
As soon as she spots him, she steels her spine and hangs on Shaad's arm. He grits his teeth , the muscle of his jaw hardening in irritation. She even looks to see his reaction to it.
He's so fed up he goes up to drinks bar. And Jannat appears there. She's (misunderstood and) angry that he gave her this uncomfortable dress.
"I just wanted to tell you I'm wearing this for Shaad. For his happiness. Because I love him..."
"Really? Love is given and received in honesty, there is no need for proof. Or for you to do this..."
<He meant wearing clothes she didn't like for Shaad's sake, and she thought he was being arrogant that she was wearing his gift!>
"What do you mean, huh? That I don't love Shaad? Then whom do I love?? You??"
Aahil looks at her deeply, and she pauses for a moment. Goosebumps...
Some kind of a chill goes through her.
Aahil wants to show her something. Their wedding photo.
But she pushes his hand away roughly, accidentally. She is immediately trite that she was so rough, contrasting to the hardline image she was trying to keep around him. As she bends down to pick up the picture, her dress zip loosens. Panicked, she refuses to see the picture...
"You don't need to show me that you carry your Sanam's picture around. If you really loved her, you wouldn't have behaved as you did with me. This hypocritical gesture does not convince anyone that you love her..."
<Ouch, that was below the belt Jannat... I bet Aahil forgot that Sanam used to have such a scalpel of a tongue when riled... Ufff...>
She walks away without looking at the snap. And Sanam2 makes her drink some spike mango juice that makes her all loosened up with Shaad.
She fusses up to Shaad, that he has been distracted, and doesn't want to listen to her.
<SO sad to see Jannat simpering for Shaad's attention, when right there Aahil wants to lay the world at her feet. Sigh...>
She tries hard to tell Shaad that she loves him, but the sight of Aahil staring at her, is causing some brain to mouth disconnection.
Must be Sanam's heart jumping out to stop it...
SK interrupts, requests Aahil sing a song to grace the evening. He refuses, set to leave the party, but SK asks him to sing for his Sanam...
Jannat is intrigued. Sanam2 is hell annoyed.
Get ready for Act2 ...
Shaad is eyeing SK, and Sir Juda is about to arrive...
A zip loosens further...
