The question is about Shaad and Jannat...
And by 'they' , I mean the writers.
I sat through the maqbara song with a headache at first. It just didn't make any sense. Then I remembered that it makes a lot of sense to a lot of people...so I should give it a try as a Sahil- agnostic.
So, I watched it three times.😃😆
VT is a sweet looking guy...SJ is looking very pretty..That maqbara was very untidy😲...but I liked the scenery...and even SK nudging Phoophs (AG was adorable there. That is one expression I have not seen on her so far😉.) before the song started...
Jannat was not Sanam..just some pretty girl praying for her mohabbat...Shaad was the guy who couldn't take his eyes off the pretty lady...I could convince myself till this...until the scene where he promises to return her mohabbat to her came!
And...
I guess a lot of people have been saying this...it is about dishonesty...
But for me, it is the dishonesty of the writers...and utter stupidity!
Why can't Jannat not get recurrent flashbacks? Why does she have to remember someone loved her mad? Why can't they just let Jannat be...a girl who has lost her memory and has found refuge in a decent guy who is protecting her...He doesn't even have to tell her the truth...
Shaad could just search for Jannat's roots..get till IM and have Nayi Sanam refusing to acknowledge Sanam ever existed...He could give up his search (via phone😉) ...and slowly fall in love with the girl with no identity...
The story would have credibility...the song would have made sense...(Provided they didn't have those scenes of Jannat forcing herself on Shaad in the begiining too.)...and all the catch and falls would be meaningful, even if one sided...
On her part, Jannat could quietly learn to adjust with her new identity and try to accept her destiny. She could very well decide to move on with Shaad since the search bore no fruit... So then, Shaad doesn't even have to pretend to be the husband...
It could be a simple story of a guy falling in love with a woman who is searching for her identity...
Why mess it up so royally, that the viewers have to be forced to watch a guy dilly dallying (that too a Major who is committed to Indo- Pak peace cause! 🤔God save India and Pakistan!😆) between duty and propriety and puppy love...
What is the POINT?😕
Why does Jannat have to have these feelings? Why can't she accept the ring and happily move on until her past comes back for her?
Do the writers have no faith in Jannat that they have to tie her down with vague memories that restrict her...from exploring herself...
This is where the writing has failed for me. They did not have enough faith in their creativity TO LET JANNAT GO!
And I feel it has cost the story a lot.
IT IS NEITHER HERE , NOR THERE! 🥱
I kept saying that to myself and wondered why I was still watching this show...
I felt bad for me and poor KV. If they could not write the first track of Season 3 well, what hope does any character get of anything written well at all!
Precap: I stared at ARI shooting Sanam 2 and wondered what the hell he thought he was doing!😲
We know she is immortal! He doesn't.😕
Is he really going to take her life and end up a killer???😲😆
🤣 (May be he doesn't actually shoot her.🥱)
That is the moment I laughed at myself for actually watching the maqbara scene three times to make some sense of it!😆
PS: Anyway, come next day and I see ARI's new look and remember KV's words...' Actors are like kids, you need to excite them and hold their interest," 😉
The audience is also like kids.😆
This kid found something to hold her interest😳...just hoping the writers can deliver, though I really have no high hopes.
