Actually, where did they find the phone? If it was near the border where the truck crashed, that means Sanam still had it on her. (Why she didn't use it is another question. No network?)

If it was found on the road prior to the border that means drivers confiscated the phone after they over powered Sanam when she tried to escape. If that is the case, then they could have deleted the video message. They wouldn't care about the call history as much but seeing the video, they would delete it.

I think chances are that the drivers got rid of the phone. Or else, San am would have been shown at least trying to use it while she was in the truck.
