SeHan OS - Betrayal
The moment you know that you are falling in love with someone is one of the most exciting and terrifying moments in existence. Falling in love with someone is scary because, for the most part, it is completely out of your control. The heart wants what the heart wants. When the elation, the nerves, the butterflies, the anxiety, and the euphoria all come together, somehow you just know and Seher just knew, she just knew she was in love.
She wasn't the only one who knew this, Rehan did too. Was it that obvious? How did he know what I felt?
She entered Rehan's office while all this was going on in her head. Except, as soon as she went in, it didn't look a office. The ground was veiled with balloons all around, candles adored on every corner and the whole room was dim, yet beaming with happiness. While she looked around trying to find out what was going on, her vision went blank as a pair of hand covered her big almond eyes.
As soon as the pair of hands made contact with her skin, she knew who it was; Rehan.
In these few weeks, she got to know so much about him and even when they sat in silent with each other it felt like the best conversation ever to them. She knew she was falling for him when she forgot she was hungry and that was a huge thing for her as she couldn't go for 5 minutes without eating. She knew she was falling for him when she smiled whenever he smiled, when he was in pain, but she felt it. She fell for him so hard that it became difficult for her to stand up without his support. She fell for him so hard that she forgot what her actual motive was; to rob him.
Nowadays that wasn't her motive. Her motive now was to keep him happy and that was only possible if she told him the truth about herself.
She placed her hand gently on top of his and felt a kind of satisfaction in his touch. He slowly removed his hands from her eyes and when she opened them; he was right in front of her. He looked so lovingly into her eyes that she couldn't handle it and lowered her gaze. He placed a finger under her chin and lifted her head to meet his.
"Seher" Her name from his mouth so softly that it felt so pure and sincere to her and she closed her eyes in anxiety. She opened them slowly to see him still looking at her.
"Seher, I know I'm not good with words and I may be the most unromantic guy ever, but I want you to know that you didn't give me the reply and you know what I'm talking about..." Seher eyes teared up as she knew what was coming next.
Rehan bent down on one knee and took Seher's hand with him "You should know that you are the first truth in my life and I want you to trust me no matter what, because I already do and I know you wouldn't do anything that makes me regret loving you." A lump formed in Seher's throat filled with guilt and she couldn't bear it. She promised right then she would tell him the truth today, but not at this time.
"Seher I love you and I don't want to beat around the bush so..." Seher knew what was coming, but it was impossible for her to anticipate the feeling that was about to come.
"Kya Tum Mujhse Nikaah Karogi?" He had started with a sigh of encouragement and ended with a huge grin on his face that reached his eyes. Seher was bit shocked/freaked out/terrified and she didn't know what to say or how to react as she was overjoyed and overwhelmed at the same time.
Rehan proceeded to the next step and took out a red velvet box that contained a small, but precious ring that meant everything to him. He took the ring out from the box and held Seher's hand tighter. He slid the ring into her fingertip slowly to take the most of these moments and as he was about to go further the doorbell rang and they came out of their little world.
Ding Dong!
Ding Dong!
"One minute" Rehan informed Seher a bit annoyed, yet curious to know who was at the door. He opened the door to be greeted by some very unhappy policemen.
"Inspector you?!" Rehan said confusingly. Seher looked on. "Yes. We're here to arrest that lady over there in the crime of stealing.
This was a big shocker for Rehan who was unsure about all this, while Seher knew exactly what was happening and looked quite guilty. The thing that she was most afraid of; was actually becoming reality today. "Inspector, I think you're misunderstood or you've came to the wrong place. S-Seher can't do this." He replied as he was a bit shocked by al this and looked back at Seher who wasn't meeting his gaze.
"No! We're in the right place and to prove that we even have an eye witness."
The Inspector replied confidently.
The old man came in whom Seher had robbed and he recognised Seher almost immediately and told everyone how he is a big con. Rehan refused to believe this and wanted answers from the person he trusted more than himself; Seher!
Rehan walked to Seher and made her face him. "Seher tell them that they are wrong and what they are saying is all a lie!" She stood there like a living corpse and didn't answer to him. He grabbed her shoulder gently. "Seher look don't be afraid, just tell me the truth and I promise until I'm here I won't event let them lay a finger on you" He said, thinking she was afraid by all this commotion and he wanted her to know that he was there for her!
Seher mentally laughed at the word trust and her life. Was her life some kind of game? She dared to look him in the eye and saw fear and the need of approval that she couldn't give even to him even if she wanted to. She replayed all the moments she shared with them and her inner self kept screaming at her to tell the truth like he deserved. A teardrop made its way down her cheek, as she remembered all the little things that they had and how she would've miss them after telling him the truth.
Rehan tried to read her, but he couldn't because she wasn't looking at him, when she did, he froze because he saw guilt and the need for forgiveness, but he still had a hope left.
"Seher speak up! Tell them that this all a LIE. Tell th -"
"It's true Rehan I'm a theif!" She cried interrupting his mid sentence and more tears rolled down her cheeks as she broker down in front of him.
It hurt a lot. Rehan felt as if he just lost all reasons for being in this world and nothing that's going to happen in the near future is of any worth or value. And he himself felt as if he'd lost a lot of worth and value. His chest tightened up and threatened to drop him to his knees. Although he was a pro at masking his emotions, it didn't hurt less. He had been heartbroken so many times that now he found it hard to trust anyone. However he couldn't stop the little teardrop that make its way down his cheeks.
"She probably tried to rob this young man too!" The old man shouted. Adding the pain to what Rehan was already feeling. He felt like someone squeezed his heart until there was no blood left, now that he knew why she had come to his life.
"Yes Rehan I did come to rob you, but trust me I learned from my mistakes. I was going to tell you. Please trust me." She pleaded, sobbing hard.
As if deaf, Rehan ignored everything she said, because all he could hear right now was the echoing laughters of his destiny cursing him that he could never be loved! Seher kept pleading and his anger rose more. He stepped forward and grabbed Seher's arms so tightly she shook in fear.
"WHY!? WHY!? WHY!? I TOLD YOU I HATE LIARS AND THATS EXACTLY WHO YOU ARE!"
"YOU BROKE MY TRUST SEHER! I TRUSTED YOU MORE THAN I TRUSED MYSELF! I WAS EVEN READY TO GIVE UP MY LIFE FOR YOU BUT WHAT DID YOU DO HUH!?"
"I LOVED YOU SEHER BUT NOW MY TRUST IN YOU HAS GONE AND I DONT THINK I WILL BE ABLE TO TRUST ANYONE ELSE NOW!" Rehan screamed in pain and Seher was crying her heart out. She saw his bloodshot eyes and now his eyes contained a different kind of feeling; a feeling of betrayal!
"I THOUGHT YOU WERE THE ONLY TRUTH IN MY LIFE BUT YOU TURNED OUT BE WHAT?! ANOTHER LIE!" He let go of her arm as he cried in pain. He ran his hand through his hair and looked away from her. Her tears were affecting him, he couldn't be weak.
He clenched his fists and grabbed her to only shove her roughly to the policemen and shouted "Take her! I don't have anything to do with her and lock her up in prison!" He turned her back to her as she continued screaming asking him to believe her as she tried to free her hands that were held by the police.
"Rehan please don't do this! I beg of you Rehan! Please Rehan don't" She cried as the policemen carried her away.
"STOP!" Rehan commanded and the inspector stopped immediately. Rehan walked up to the old man. "How much did she steal from you?"
"1 Lakh Rupees" The old man replied. "Okay wait here" Rehan said coldly. He came back with a bundle of money in his hands and handed them to the old man.
"Here's your money..." The old man smiled "But I have one request, let ..." He sighed shakingly as couldn't believe he was doing this, but he did love her, he couldn't let her be in pain, because that would only cause him pain. "Let Seher go" He replied after some moments.
Seher teared up on hearing this and seeing his love. The old man let Seher go as he got what he wanted, and they all left the office. Seher walked up to Rehan and raised her hand to touch his shoulder. He pushed her hand away and looked at her in pain and left from there while Seher cried her heart out, today she had lost her true love because of her betrayal!

don't know their real identity, but just for this OS I've
made Sunheri actually know she's Seher
