Makes sense, since Ms. Gul Khan was clear that QH is a family drama not a love story.
So for QH1, it was Ruzia, the family matriarch and her nemesis Dilshaad who were leads. Everyone else was a pawn.
And for, QH2, it is Tunveer, the reigning matriarch, who is the lead.
Its just that we have loved her previous two love-stories, Geet and IPK, and so tend to overlook Ms. Gul Khan's warning on the type of story QH is.

But QH2 is not a family drama. Compare it to other shows, hell even IPK at times, and you see the difference and lack of family drama. There's no daadi or naani 'sweet scenes,.' Dilshad from the start is somewhat laid back, and Sanam was away from her from the most part. And the times she did talk to her or met up with her, it wasn't the similar type of daadi-naani scenes you see in the other serials. The family emotional scenes are not the overly dramatic or 'feel good' or sweet type of scenes. No constant heart-to-heart The romance isn't really hindered or pushed forward or predicated around family or family members (Phoophie would be an exception to this. And no, even Tanveer's involvement in SaHil is different than many Hindi serials). Family plays a part, yes. But it's not a family drama in the way many Hindi serials are.
It is true that it is predicated somewhat around a reigning matriarch, Tanveer.😆 But because she is a vamp, an outright vamp where the audience already knows the backstory; and the plot revolves around her eventual downfall--the scenes involving the matriarch would not fall under 'family drama.'
