^ you don know Alka Kushal? 😲 then i will see you missed watching one of the finest actress of tv! Alka ji played Raziya in season 1, she will make antry in QH2 too... IMO Alka ji wins expressions category for tv then i will say Surbhi has wonderful expressions which we saw throughout the QH period! i saw none with such variety of expressions! as for toning down Sanam is combination of Asad-Zoya with confidence... you can't expect her to tone down in front of Ahil and cry like typical indian tv heroine! & actually i like the fact Sanam-Zoya gives it on face loudly which reduces anger n frustration dramatically...

I think what she means is that Surbhi is basically carrying a role. And she's doing it as is.

If she is said to not emote well, then surely other actresses is just as. Nazia the character has so much potential, but is seen to be monotonous. And while Shazia has a lil more angst in her and has improved from the first scene, she still has potential to exploit.

And then there's Tanveer, even Amrapalli was said to give over the top expressions...but that is just Tanveer. So judging by that, I'm very sure it's just the character Sanam. She's not as lively and expressive as Zoya, she's more reserved and focused, keeps herself grounded (except with a certain Jaladh jin) yet there's this underlying charm, a current like state that is shown briefly at times and is yet to be discovered. And who but Aahil shall be the one to see it first.

I m a big fan for sj expressions specially emotional scene
May be some restrictions for sanam character so you feel like this if u watch qh1 u know abt her acting
