Qubool Hai | Junoon Tere Ishq Ka - Theme Music
For television, despite being a medium of audio-visual, the audio aspect holds a stronger position. The audio of the series be it the background score, the theme for the leads or dialogues for the characters makes people pay more attention to the series.
Music is an integral part of any series. The background score tells you the mood of the scene. Be it comic, romantic, suspense filled or thrilling. That is how a theme of the show becomes important for the viewers to be drawn in to see the moment between the love-pair.
Now, there is a story on how the theme Junoon Tere Ishq Ka came into being. First, one needs to decide that is the basic emotion that one wants to evoke when you hear the theme. That was determined to be Passion by the writers, Gul Khan and Gorky. Then came the tough task of looking for words that would denote passion in a word.
Ok, so there are many words in Urdu that would denote passion however, one had to keep in mind that the word needed a sound that would end on upward note rather than downward note for it to be musically expressible (stretchable - for want of a better word). So, tossing a few around and singing them aloud, to see how far one could stretch a word, the best that came across to Gorky was Junoon.
And what is it that the theme is about is love so it is Ishq Ka Junoon and musically it has become, Junoon Tere Ishq Ka.
