Karanvir says Qubool Hai
He was popular as the bad guy in Kasautii Zindagi Kay and Dil Se Di Dua... Saubhagyavati Bhava, but Karanvir Bohra will soon be seen in a new avatar in Qubool Hai. The actor will "replace" Raqesh Vashisth, who had been roped in after the original lead Karan Singh Grover had quit the show. Apparently, it was the severe criticism from Karan's fans and the show's proposed time leap that had prompted Raqesh to leave the show. However, Karanvir says he isn't afraid of adverse feedback. "It is okay to be a fan of a particular actor but that does not mean you pull down another one for no reason. What happened with Raqesh was certainly not pleasant. I am not okay with replacing another actor " in fact I was offered the role of Asad last December, but I turned it down. This time they approached me to play a completely new character, after the leap. I want to mould the character in my own way," Karanvir said. He continues, "I started out with a fun show, Shararat. After that, Prem in Kasautii... and Viraj of Saubhagyavati Bhava did have dark shades. But with Qubool Hai, people will see me in a different avatar." Karanvir recently produced a Punjabi film, which was a hit, and will soon be acting in a Marathi film as well. "Our Punjabi film fared so well... it was a bumper hit and the regional market is huge, so why not focus on regional cinema?"
