Uhm.. I saw it as a MESSAGE.
If you watched carefully Dilshaad said, even if she did do this.. what is the big deal?

Zoya said.. even if i did this i wouldnt hide it cause there is nothing to hide.

Writers were showing that theres nothign WRONG with it.. i didnt see it as anything negative. It was a social message and well portrayed.

Agree. !!
The show has now started to become a clash of cultures . Unacceptable !! . Should never be introduced to this level on a Indian Serial .. This is simply outrageous and this is not how life revolves in the western world . Please we don't fabricate modeling agencies .. It's a federal offense , it has to be authentic !! . So don't pull that crap . Do your research before you start playing the game . You are dealing with a show that is highly religious based. .

It's not just QH anytime a girl is educated, wears western clothes and uses her brain instead of weeping in. Misery she is deemed the designation of a vamp in Indian soaps. I thoughtQH was different but zoyaan marriage was an eye opener.

They didn't really show it as a shameful act! Rather they showed how narrow minded people like Razia or Siddique react to it... Niether Zoya nor Dilshaad behaved like its a big deal.. Their reaction is what matters to the audience not Razia's..

Zoya has been repeatedly insulted and maligned because she apparently is an outsider...a westerner...a woman who doesn't have the sense of culture , religion and respect because she wears western clothes...because she does modeling ( here, she hasn't...although she is free to do anything she wants).

Gul! This is beyond an insult to every westerner out there...How long are you going to demonize westernization in the name of religion and culture. We so called westerns have a lot of respect for our respective religion than lots of religious Indians I have seen...at-least, we don't hide behind the mask of religion and act criminally...people like Razia/ Guffur are all bunch of criminals. It amazes me that they are your spokesperson who preaches religion and culture. It is a shame that a character like Razia gets her way around who apparently has run away incarceration. Stop glorifying evil.

How long are you going to demonize westerners? You must know something called as a basic human right...we should be allowed to dress the way we want...choose to be an atheist or an agnostic...choose to be with someone we want...be it a man or a woman.

Stop...demonizing a woman just because she is a westerner who wears western clothes ...decides to model or chooses any profession.

I am a very low IQ 16 year old .
But I have heard from wise people that this is how a social issue is addressed. Where did they convey that Mamu, Mumani are right and Zoya is wrong ? If anything Zoya wears only western clothes in Bhopal and now even in SM.
Also contrary to popular opinion I think GUL is trying to unequivocally portray that Tahmeez and Tehzeeb's torch bearers .. people like Razia, Tanveer are hypocrites and your clothes do not define you as conservative or religious.
Zoya , the only girl who wears western clothes is the purest at heart, takes relationships, religion, trust , humanity seriously.
So My read is that Hats off to Gul for showing this so beautifully !!
Maybe time for a reality check and to TRADE tinted glasses.

Well i am a westerner. I wear short clothes, but i have to disagree with you, because this is the reality of life. I would be judge even in my country if i go by my traditional family. Its about dressing appropriately and accordingly. I won't wear a short skirt to my aunty prayers. But to a party.

This is an issue that exist and i commend Gul for bringing it up.

I second that actually. I have myself been subjected to such treatment (though not to such extent as to involve the entire society I live in), however fact remains that it happens.

It is true, sometimes even our own relatives can be quite judgmental. Heck my dearest Nani, whom I adore oh-so very much and of whom I am a favourite to, sees it as her duty (and it kinda is, but still) to criticise my clothing. Yes, she would go as far as calling me wild. But let's not t forget Nani hai woh meri, haq hai mere upar. So yeah, while TV shows exaggerate it to a rather illogical height, fact is, people judge. And people talk.

I loved Dilshad's response to Ghaffur and Razia's taunts.

I can understand where you're coming from and I'm glad that you've made this topic, and you're right, they have to stop, as you put it, demonising western culture, 'coz is not gonna take us anywhere. It's the people that needs to be taught to respect all culture.
