Asad is a lonely man and ever since Zoya has walked in their house, he sees some pleasant changes and has formed a habit of interacting with her, her resilience and nature have filled in a bit of the void in him without him realizing it, so naturally when she isn't around or isn't herself he misses it. There is nothing more to it from either sides so far. 😊
