Those who know me in this forum will surely agree that I usually steer clear of making or replying to controversial posts and content myself with peeping into posts that either bring a smile to my face or makes me analyse the characters and story-line from a different perspective.
Sadly, for the past few months, the amount of negativity and nitpicking in this forum seem to have reached a new height. I would like to highlight a few of them:
1. Ayaan-Zoya marriage track: We all knew that both Zoya and Ayaan had found their soul mates in Asad and Humeira respectively, and their nikah would have not been possible under any sane/ normal situation. The track looked forced, because they had to create a situation where these two gets married 'accidentally', which itself sounds like an implausible idea. We should have known that Zoya wouldn't use her mobile phone, Ayaan would say 'yes' over phone in that precise moment when the Qazi asked his assent for marriage...and many more improbable chain of events would finally lead to this accidental disaster 😕. To ask for logic in such a weird scenario is equivalent to wasting our time and energy. Honestly, I feel even if the execution of the track was better, still it would've not looked convincing enough, since the basic idea (i.e the 'accidental' marriage) behind it was ludicrous.
2. Asad needs to grow balls/ Asad's finally grown his balls: This one I used to find hilarious 😆 and it had entertained me for a long time until recently. Jeez, shouldn't we leave that to Zoya and let her decide whether her man needs to grow balls' or not? 😳
Jokes apart, even if we feel he needs to man up, the choice of words can be more subtle, right? 😉
3. Asad's hair: This one is the oldest problem and everyone (including me) has cringed over his hair at one point of time or other. But every joke has its expiry date and 'Asad's hair syndrome' is one of them, I feel.😊
4. Some of my IF friends just can't stop comparing the Production House's previous shows to Qubool Hai. Everything including the attires, characters, the selection of songs, the chemistry between the lead pairs, even the future career choice of the male lead is being compared to the previous shows, which leads to a lot of unnecessary speculation. While I understand their love for the previous show, it's naive to think that Qubool hai will follow the same path/ suffer the same fate.
5. Qubool hai is finished/ the characters are ruined/ show needs to shut down: Sorry to differ on this, but the show is still on air, because a lot of people want it to be. If one feels it's utter crap/ Bull-cow-donkey-hippo sh*t (borrowed that expression from our Misshumptydumpty Ankie), then he/she can feel free to post it under 'QH frustration thread'. Making a new topic each day on how much the show irritates you is not going to help you much, additionally it disheartenes a lot of fellow QHians who want to give the show a chance.
6. Name calling the characters: 'Ass head', dumb', spineless', ball-less dim wit morons' - that's what some of our beloved characters are being called now-a-days 😲. All I want to say is -'Oh, really?' This is downright offensive and needs to be stopped.
I know my post is going to draw lots of flak and many of you will agree to disagree on my POV. My only request is to put your opinion in a civil manner and refrain from bashing.
Teddy ❤️
