Part 3a:Next Day, 9 o'clock in the morning.Ghaffur was pacing in his office cabin, waiting impatiently for Vikram to arrive. He had a feeling that in this meeting with Vikram he would get what he was seeking from a long time now.
He heard a knock on his cabin door and urgently voiced "Come in". Vikram entered his cabin with an envelope in his hands and a confindent smile plastered on his face. Ghaffur stared at the envelope and then moved his gaze at Vikram's face. He already was curious to know what was hidden from his sight in that pure white envelope.
He gestured Vikram to have a seat and seated himself on his black revolving cabin chair. He leaned back in his chair and asked "What are you so confident about?"
Vikram's smile widened as he replied "Your Fate and your Future."
Ghaffur frowned, "What do you mean?"
Vikram chuckled and said "Sir, I am 100% sure that from now onwards you would be able to live the life you wanted to live all these years."
Ghaffur's frown subsided amd he asked "You are not joking, are you?"
"Absolutely not, Sir!" Vikram replied in a serious tone and slided the envelope on the table towards Ghaffur. "Here, you can see it by yourself."
Ghaffur grabbed the envelope and opened it hurriedly. What he discovered, shocked him to the coreas well as gave him immense relief. This was exactly what he needed.
He took out all the photographs from the envelope and went through them. In those pictures Razia was having sex with an adult man.
For any other husband it would've been the worst thing to see his wife with another man but for him, it was the happiest moment of his life because he was going to use those pictures as a key to his freedom. He would file a divorce case against Razia, reason would be her sex affairs and those photographs would act as an evidence of her sex relations. 'Now, she would have to sign the papers' thought Ghaffur gladly.
He looked up at Vikram's face with his sparkling eyes. By looking in his eyes, Vikram could clearly tell that he was very happy. "You've done a great job, Vikram!" He appreciated.
"Thankyou" Vikram replied while giving him an 'I-told-you-so' look. Ghaffur chuckled.
"Sir, I captured these pictures the very last night and when you called me up on my cell phone, I was driving back towards my home from Meena Patel's brothel where you wife regularly goes." Vikram informed.
Ghaffur was listening intently to each detail and now he understood why Razia was sounding a little dizzy on the phone last night.
"Thankyou very much for your efforts Vikram." Ghaffur thanked him sincerely.
"My pleasure, Sir. So, where is my return gift?" Vikram asked playfully.
Ghaffur nodded knowingly. "Yes, yes ofcourse. Today you deserve a return gift my boy, I will transfer the promised amount of money into your bank account."
"Okay" Vikram said.
Both of them stood up, shook hands and Vikram left afterwards.
As he left, Ghaffur sat back on his chair and called his lawyer. He informed him about the photographs and his lawyer assured him that the photographs were more than enough to make Razia sign on the divorce papers. Ghaffur got fully satisfied after listening to his words and asked him to get the divorce papers ready until tomorrow.
As the call ended, Ghaffur leaned back in his chair and laughed devilishly.
He returned home around 8 o'clock pm and was greeted by a sight which was not at all new for his eyes.
Razia was scolding Zoya for breaking a decoration piece and Zoya was standing in front of her with her head bowed down.
"Why were you running and playing in the living room? Is this a play ground for you or what?" Razia yelled at Zoya.
"Sorry Ammi, It was really unintentional." Zoya justified her act hesitantly.
"Do you have any idea how expensive that Vase was?" Razia glared at her.
Zoya opened her mouth to apologize once again but before she could voice her apology, Razia interrupted her by saying "Don't speak another word, just go to your room." Razia ordered her firmly.
Zoya obediently walked past her to go to her room when she heard her ammi blabbering "Sahi kehte hain is ke Abbu, Yeh hai hi manhoos."
As the words sank in, Zoya started running towards her room, it was getting difficult for her to stop her tears now and she didn't want to cry in front of her insensitive and mean parent.
She entered her room, locked the door and buried her face in her pillow to cry her heart out. She didn't want anyone to hear her sobs, she wants them to believe that she's a strong girl so that no one could call her a 'bechari'. It was not a new thing for her to cry like this in her room, she always did this when her parents scolded her.
The thing she never understood was 'why her parents are not like her friend's parents?'
New character: 'Tanveer Qureshi'Tanveer is Zoya's class fellow and her best friend. She was living with her chachu and chachi because her parents lives in a village and has sent her to the city for studying.Zoya remembered the time when she told Tanveer about her parents ruthless behavior.
*Flash back* a few months before:It was the first day of Zoya's 6th class. Zoya was going to enter her school gates when she noticed her class fellow 'Tanveer' standing out of the school gates with her parents. Zoya stopped in her tracks and observed the trio, Tanveer's parents were hugging and kissing her while wishing her best of luck for the new class. On the other hand Tanveer was making annoyed faces, She looked totally embarrased at her parents act.
A lone tear slipped from Zoya's eye. She always craved for that love and care.
"Stop it you two, I'm not a kid anymore." Tanveer said annoyedly and her parents finally decided to leave. They hugged their daughter for the last time and strode away. Tanveer was about to enter the gate when she noticed Zoya
standing still like a statue at a distance, lost in her thoughts. She neared her and saw a dry tear on her right cheek.
She placed her hand on Zoya's shoulder and asked softly "Hey, what happened?"
Zoya came out of her thoughts and wiped her cheek immediately. "Uhh.. nothing Tanveer." She said.
Both entered their school when Zoya spoke "You are very lucky Tanveer." Tanveer turned her face towards Zoya and frowned. "Really? I didn't know."
"I am not joking, Tanveer!" Zoya stated. "You've such a loving parents who loves you, cares for you and-"
Tanveer didn't let her complete and spoke "Everyone has parents, Zoya! whats there to be so lucky if I also have them? Infact you also have both of your parents, I don't get your point." Tanveer was confused now.
"I have parents but they..they don't love me." Zoya spoke as one more tear slipped down her cheek.
"What rubbish Zoya? There's nothing like that. Sometimes I also feel like my parents doesn't love me but you just saw how much they care for me. Right?" Tanveer voiced her thoughts.
Zoya once again wiped her cheeks and said "Do your parents treats you like you doesn't exists or don't have any feelings?"
"No!" Tanveer answered.
"My parents do." Tanveer gasped and before she could say something, Zoya increased her speed and left Tanveer behind.
*Flash back ends*More tears escaped from Zoya's eyes as she remembered all the times when she saw her friends interacting with their parents. She always craved for that parental love which no other person could give her, Not even her Any Ma.
'Ya Allah! what have I done to deserve this?' She asked Allah for the umpteenth time and fell asleep while crying on her bed.
