How I wish that I could go back in time, that 'Qubool Hai' begins once again from where it began, once again we get to cherish that magical moment when Asad saw Zoya for the first time on Dargah.
Asad Ahmed Khan, a man who could effortlessly arrest the attention of girls passing by, who had restrained himself from developing any sort of romantic feelings for a girl lest he betrays her and breaks her heart like his father did to his mother, couldn't take his eyes off Zoya, who wasn't aware of the fact that at the sacred place she had come to find peace, the person who would become the love of her life was looking at her with such passion filled eyes. Irony? No. In the true sense, this is what we call Destiny.
The Spiritual essence brought about by that excellent Sufi song made the atmosphere even more wonderful.
Asad clearly was mesmerized looking at her beauty, one could see that in the blink of his eyes when Zoya's shawl slips from over her head.
Asad brings his hands together and closes his eyes to pray. After a moment he opens his eyes, but is left disappointed by her absence. Sigh, she had left!
After lighting the candle, Asad once again closes his eyes to pray, this time the prayer is governed by good wishes for the girl whom he saw crying, whom his eyes were refusing to look away from.
Have read quite a few posts which mentioned that Asad fell in love with Zoya the very day he saw her for the first time. I for one,am not sure. What I can say with absolute surity is that this scene is one of my most fav romantic scenes of QH!
