I love Zoya and all, but lately..she's really been getting on my nerves. Her immaturity has just been on a high recently. She's been taking advantage of Asad a lot (at least in my opinion). I can go on a long rant about everything that's been bothering me but I'll just stick to todays episode. Especially with the most recent episode. In my opinion Asad has changed a lot and really is trying to accommodate to her lifestyle. But today he was totally justified with not wanting her to go alone and being upset. On top of that, she lied to him, who wouldn't be upset. It's not about her being raised in New York and being independent, it's about safety especially at that time. I've been born and raised in the U.S my whole life, and lived on my own, but if I knew there were strikes going on and a certain situation wasn't safe outside, I wouldn't go. Regardless of that, I don't go alone somewhere if it's late at night (if I'm walking and don't have a car). There have been plenty of times when I've been at a friend's and it gets late, and they don't let me walk back to my apartment alone or take the metro train alone at night. Going out, we always go in groups. No where is really safe to be honest, and there are a lot of sick people out there. In Zoya's case it was dangerous to go as well. What if protestors did something to the buses. I can somewhat understand her situation with getting a ride from the guy because she was desperate, but at the same time what if he did something to her. What if he refused to take her home? If she hadn't gone at all, she wouldn't be in that situation to begin with having to ask a complete stranger for a ride. On top he knows where she lives now!
Hopefully when the whole Ghafoor thing comes out and she goes to live with them, she'll get a reality check.
