Unpopular opinion, but I found it to be cute. You have to realize that Asad had spent a month without her not knowing where she was, if she was alive and if she was okay. And he was imagining her everywhere, after that he almost lost her to Tanveer's plans. Watching her sleep gave him peace of mind, he is just glad that she is safe and he can see her now, she is in front of his eyes where no one can hurt her. I don't know if its just me, but to me when he closed his eyes and looked up it sort of seemed as if he was thanking god for her.

So no, I don't find it creepy or OTT. It was meant to convey something and it did. It would only have been creepy if he was watching her without her permission. And, it shows how much Zoya trusts Asad by allowing him to invade her privacy to such an extent.

And honestly people watch their girlfriends, boyfriends and spouses sleep all the time. It is not creepy unless you make it that way. You just feel inclined to because you love them, don't tell me you haven't woken up in the middle of the night and just stared at your significant other until you fall back asleep? Because I know I have and I know others do too. My bf is totally adorable when he sleeps and sometimes when I can't sleep I just look at him, because there is nothing else to do and he makes weird faces when he sleeps. It makes me smile for some reason. So to each their own I guess?

Actually no I haven't...I have better things to do like sleep or work or even read a book.

Let's say I give in to your point that the scene showed that Asad cared - can you point out why that scene was needed? It did not help the narrative, it was out of character and frankly not something I would want to watch

i actually found it romantic,

Asad is still reeling from the horrid months seperation where he had sleepless nights worried to death about Zoya's well being,

seeing her sleep peacefully is something which will put him to peace, Zoya kinda forced him to give a wish,

He first said that "my wish is in front of me"

They have gone through a lot of ordeal, stuff which doesnt happen in a regular love story, and thats why tears of joy or tears of appreciation sprung to his eyes. I know its filler coz they were in Durban, but its was sweet

Asad is not the first man that has had to deal with a separation nor will he be the last. If every man started changing himself so drastically because of it we would be living in a world of fools. Love changes you but doesn't make you lose yourself. Break-ups hurt but you cry a bit and then move-on - some take months others days but that doesn't change the fact that you don't fundamentally change who you are.

@blue - I would rather they have not shown it at all because it was not important to the narrative. And honestly Gul needs to stop pandering to the fans need to see AsYa on screen everyday. I like OTP too but I want them on screen in romantic moments only if the narrative calls for it. This was just nonsense and was the equivalent of dangling a carrot in front of a donkey...the donkey being us...the fans.

Agree..you make sense. Asad always worried about Zoya's safety, he goes crazy if something happens to her like we saw in Mangalpur, electric live wire and now he got to know that Tanveer tried to kill Zoya so many times, so he just wants to make sure she is safe and sleep peacefully.. I dnt find it romantic much, but could see the reason behind it.. He is still not out of the trauma that Zoya's life was in danger so many times and she would have died

'maybe the whole "watching smbdy sleep" thing is wht ppl found creepy but all in all i found it WENT with asad-zoya only bcuz of the way asad reacted...the way he looked up and thanked god it was kinda like making himself believe tht this is REAL...ya at frst i found it CREEPY but i think they did serve it justice...the only thing that has ACTUALLY began TICKING me off is their romance...it is going NOWHERE...i am forever SICK of hand holds and pulls...if they dnt start hugging/kissing or being as INTENSE as they were during teri meri and BNHH i will KILL smbdy...

I liked the breakfast table scene. I truly hope that KSG gets a haircut...and once again I loved Vikrant...he is such a powerful actor...I wished there was someone equally good in humeira's role to compliment him...the current actress in humeira's role is expressionless most of the time.

Thank you for seeing my point exactly! Added to that it did not serve a narrative purpose. Can they get to crux already?

The table scene was ok till the whole moti Zoya stuff. It could have been amazing if Asad had continued giving poor Dilshie heart attacks and in the process make Zoya very uncomfortable but they went with 13 year old teasing
