Hi guys! Just like many of you, I am simply in love with Vikrant and really like what he's doing with the character. And although I don't like Rajni as much, I love Humeira and am eagerly awaiting her return. The last few days the two have really delivered a great performance and inspired me to writing an OS. In this one, Dadi is not being held hostage. Also, it starts as Ayaan's POV of Vikram's entry but then goes off into my own little version of what I wish had happened. Please leave your thoughts and comments! Also check out my other works listed below in my signature!

Simran

P.s. I was so sad to see that there were no OS/SS about Ayaan and Humeira and not VMs on youtube either. I had assumed there would be other fans of their track like me but guess they haven't gotten around to creating anything yet. Don't get me wrong, AsYa all the way! But these two are really making a place for themselves in the show too!

Tum Meri Ho - AyRa OS

"Main Vikram Shukla, Rajni ka pati..."Ayaan couldn't stop those words from replaying in his head again and again, those six words that had made his worst fears come true. He continued to furiously pace his room as the feeling of defeat unwillingly began to sink in. From the moment she had come back he had known she was his...their Humeira, no matter what anyone said he knew it was her. And although it had killed a little bit of his soul each time, he patiently stood by as she claimed another man to be her husband, as she devotedly adorned her parting marking her as a another's, as she fasted for another man's wellbeing, as she went to temple to pray in the hopes of finding her husband. Through all this, Ayaan had not only quietly endured but had stood by her giving her support and protection in whatever she wanted, because he knew that with enough love and patience he would bring their Humeira back. It was he who had given her this pain and it would be he who would bring her back.
And yet despite all this that joke of a man had shown up just moments ago claiming to be her husband. After the initial shock and that familiar twinge in heart upon seeing Humeira..."Rajni" run to him subsided, Ayaan immediately felt something was off. Yes she had gone to him but he noted the hesitation as she stood in front of him, the stiffening in her body as cupped her face and pulled her into his arms. An irrational rage began to bubble inside of Ayaan threatening to erupt as he watched Vikram place his hands on Humeira. He wanted to break every bone in that man's body and would have gladly had it not been for Humeira. He knew that any such reaction would push her further away from him and prolong her recovery. And so only for her sake did he stand there with ill-concealed rage as he watched another man claim to be his fianc's husband.
If that wasn't enough, it was as if the elders of the family had completely lost their minds! His abbu wanted him to talk to this clown's neighbors? And mammu! He was worried about a legal case instead of his own daughter?! Why were they even considering that this could be Rajni? The police, the doctors, all confirmed that she was dead and this was indeed Humeira then what were they debating? Besides, couldn't they feel her presence in everything she did? Her smile, her concern for others, the way she looked at him...
Ayaan was still pacing his room, furiously punching the wall and throwing practically anything in sight when Nikhat had come to reason with him. She had said out loud what he knew he had been feeling for quite some time now. He loved Humeira. He hadn't known when it had happened or how but the girl he had grown up with, the girl that had been his best friend had become his inspiration, his motivation, and the center of his universe. Without even realizing it, keeping her happy had become his single objective in life. Ayaan had known they had had something special, long before she had run away, long before they were engaged, back when things had been simple and they were just best friends. Even then they had shared something special but before he had been able to come to terms with what his heart already knew, mummani had taken away his will and forced his engagement with Humeira. At the time, he had been too angry with mummani and resisted his heart's calling; on sheer principle he wouldn't love Humeira. He had even gone as far as lashing out on her for every little thing because he was so conflicted with what he was feeling and what he thought he should be feeling. But then she had disappeared and he felt like he couldn't breathe. Yes, part of it had been guilt but the vast majority of it was the dread of losing the one person he could always be himself with, the one person who understood him to the core and that supported him in everything he did no matter how many times he screwed things up. Ayaan had finally accepted the fact that he loved her but she was nowhere to be found. When he first laid eyes on her after all that time he felt he could finally breathe again only to be told that she no longer remembered her life as Humeira. It was as if someone had brought him to the gates of heaven and then violently flung him into the darkest pits of hell. To have her within a foot of him and yet still be unable to close that small distance was worse than any torture he could have every imagined.
But hearing Nikhat say it out loud gave him new confidence. So what if she didn't remember who she was? So what if some joker claimed to be her husband? She was his fianc and the love of his life. It is not only my right but my duty to protect her and God help me if I let anything happen to her, Ayaan resolved as images of Vikram touching her flashed in his mind.
"Nikhat, kahan hai voh abhi," he urgently asked. Something was wrong, his sister was fidgeting with her dupatta and refusing to meet his eye. Why was everyone hell bent on testing his patience today? "Jawaab do! Where the f**k is she Nikhat," Ayaan roared as Nikhat visibly flinched. Her bhaijaan had never raised his voice at her let alone speak to her in such a manner. She feared his reaction but knew that lying to him would result in much worse. "Voh...voh guestroom main hai. Vikramji ke saath," she reluctantly answered as she watched the color drain from her bhaijaan's face. Before she could stop him, he stormed out making his way toward the guestroom.
Disregarding all notions of civility and propriety, Ayaan barged into the room. The sight before him made him see red. How dare he put his arms around her?! Was that a look of relief I saw flash across Humeira's face? What the hell is this creep making her do? The sheer possibility that this Vikram was making her uncomfortable in any way was enough for him to intervene. He realized he was still standing there without having said a word and the two were staring at him expectantly. He wished he had stopped to form a plan before barging in... "Voh, Humeira...mera matlab Rajniji ko bula rahe hai," he quickly blurted out. Even as Vikram was getting ready to protest, she literally ran out of there practically pulling Ayaan with her. He was now sure she was uncomfortable with Vikram. Anger began giving way to fear, fear that he would fail to protect her. Even when she believed herself to be Rajni something about all this felt wrong to her. Ayaan didn't know if he should be happy with this revelation or worried that Vikram was clearly coming on to her. He needed to think, how was he going to get her away from Vikram without raising suspicion? He needed to say something, she was blindly following him down the corridor steeling glances at him and thinking god knows what.
"Hume aapse jhoot bola tha. Aapse koi nahin milna chaata. Hume bas aisa laga ke...ke aap ke mann mein kuch hichkichaat hai...shayad Vikram ke baare mein," Ayaan tentatively asked as he gauged Humeira's reactions. She was definitely shocked by his audacity but suspiciously quiet. Her silence only affirmed his fears and gave him the confidence he needed to continue. "Hume galat mat samjhiye Rajniji. Hume pata hai ke aap...aap meri Humeira nahin hai, aur aap ka ek pati bhi hai. Magar hum iss admi ke baare mein kuch nahin jaante. Hum kaise bharosa karle ke yehi aapke Vikramji hai? Itne dino se aap apne pati ko dhoondh rahe hai, ho sakta hai ke kisne yeh sunliya ho aur iss baat ka galat faida utta raha ho. Hum sirf taikikaat karna chaahte hai, aapko aur apne aap ko tassalli dena chaahte hai ke yehi aap ke pati hai...agar aap ijaazat de toh," Ayan gently asked. He stared deep into those beautiful brown eyes trying to read her as she stared back at him once again with that look that he had so often run away from.
"Aapki Humeira bohot khushnaseeb hai Ayaanji. Aap unse toh bohaut pyaar karte hi hai par aap auron ka bhi kitna khayal rakhte hai. Hum toh aap ke liye bilkul ajnabee hai par phir bhi..." she said as he continued to lose himself in those innocent eyes that reflected only love and trust. "Hume patta hai ki yehi humaare Vikramji hai par jab tak aap ko koi saboot na mile tab tak hum kya kare," she asked as she quickly averted her eyes. Ayaan couldn't help the gentle smiled that played upon his lips. This is the love and trust she would have had in him had he appreciated her. Even when her gut told her something was wrong she remained supportive and faithful to the man she believed to be her husband.
"Kyun na hum Vikram ho kahe ke aap Dadi ka khayal rakhne ke liye kuch dino unhi ke saath songi? Aur kyun ke aap kuch hi dino mein jaanewali hai, Dadi chaahti hai ke aap hi unka khayal rakhe? Toh Vikram ko burra bhi nahin lage ga, koi shaaq bhi nahin hoga, aur...aapko..koi pareshaani bhi nahin hongi," Ayaan gently suggested. "Ji," she replied simply once again focusing those piercing eyes on him. Only he knew how hard it had been this past month being so close and yet so far from her. Most of the time people were around so he hardly ever got to spend more than two minutes with her before they were interrupted. Now that he finally had her alone, he didn't want her to leave. A heady mixture of her fruity scent and citrus hit Ayaan's scenes, as Humeira absentmindedly ran her fingers through her damp hair still gazing up at him. How he wanted to run his fingers through those long tresses bringing her closer...bury his face in the crook of her neck and smell the smell of home that only she could provide. And let's not forget that adorable little mole at the back of her neck that tortured him with the way she now wore her hair. Although he had known it was there, it had remained hidden to his eyes before. But now as Rajni, her hair was always braided and left him fantasizing about placing his lips on the very mole.
The air changed around them as they continued to gaze at one another; he felt it and he was sure she did too. Ayaan's mouth went dry as he really looked at her for the first time in what felt like ages. Fresh out of the shower, the damp hair, dewy skin, and face scrubbed clean of makeup made her look simply delectable. All he wanted to do was hide her from the world in his embrace, especially when she looked so vulnerable. The thought that Vikram had seen her like this tugged at him. She was inappropriate in no way and so he was not angry. But something about her freshly showered and ready for bed was just so intimate, something only Ayaan wanted to be privy to. He quickly brushed the thought aside, assuring himself that at least Vikram would be kept far away from her until he could prove he was a fraud, or at the very least that this was Humeira and not Rajni...
Reluctantly, he broke the trance, "aap Dadi ke kamre mein jaiye, hum Vikram se baat karte hai." Saying so he immediately turned around to leave without waiting for a response, lest his resolve break. For the first time in weeks, he would sleep peacefully knowing Humeira was safe. Little did he know that tonight would be the first of many sleepless nights for Humeira who would spend countless hours replaying their every interaction and conversation in her head, fighting the new emotions that were taking root...

This was amazing! You've penned down Ayaan's thoughts and actions so well!
And I agree, Vikrant is doing a fab job! Especially in these particular scenes, the nervous enegry, the way he moves around in that frustrated manner like a caged puppy 'cause the poor guy just doesn't get what's happening 😆
I hope you write more AyRa one-shots 😳

Thank you! I completely agree...that frantic look he has is just leaving me speechless. But come on, can you blame him? I think I would be just as frustrated and freaking out if I were him and felt like my love was in danger or about to be taken away from me. I hope he kicks Vikram's ass when he finds out he's a fraud. Im sure his bhaijaan has taught him some of those killer moves ;)

Thank you! Yes, Vikram is such a creep. Even when he first made his entry I hated him. Just the way he talked and droned on about how he couldn't believe that even after " Agni ko saakshi mannkar aur saath phere lene ke bad bhi sabot dene padta hai". Oh shut up and stop playing martyr.

I do hope he blackmails mummani though. It's about time she feel the heat and be victim of someone else trap.

Omg! I didn't know anybody else wrote stuff on Ayaan and Humeira besides me! I'm so happy to have found this and read it! You write really well! And I loved how Ayaan's thoughts were depicted. I've loved the whole childhood romance thing since the beginning of the show but they haven't given them a proper storyline until now. Whatever happens otherwise, I hope these two end up together somehow. They're something very pure and innocent about them. And Vikrant is an amazing actor!

Thank you so much! Yes I hope to write more AyRa fiction in the future but I am waiting for some more inspiration. Let's see what the writers have planned and how their chemistry unfolds. It's slowly but steadily building and I can't wait for the two to really embrace their attraction and love for one another bc that's when they will really set the screen on fire! Will be sure to send a pm if I write anything else on them. Thanks again!
