If Asad was lacking any of this he wouldn't have done what he did. You throw around the word spineless without realizing what you're saying.

He could have easily told her the truth, that Tanveer is pregnant and he has to do the right thing and that's why he can't marry her but he didn't. Why? He knew she wouldn't go away from him if he told her that. She wouldn't stop loving him because she herself said she wanted to forget whatever happened or didn't that night.

By doing what he did he made sure she wouldn't hurt herself more trying to make a relation with him work when he'd have to deal with the consequences of Tanveer all his life. Always a reminder of how he screwed up not one but three lives; his, Zoya's and Tanveer's

He was trying to do the right thing for everyone involved and by making Zoya hate him, he's setting her free of her love for him.

That's the last of my contribution to your post. I respect your opinion but you're not trying to understand the flip side of the coin and I won't waste any more time trying to help you see that.
