the engagement preparations were goin on in full swing ...the hall was ready the bride nd the groom were ready ...there was a happy ambience all over...the to be groom nd to be bride were brought nd were made to sit in front of each other...nd finally ammi said ... now what r v waiting for lets proceed with the ceremony... a delighted zoyas khaala fully agreed with her ...
nd finally asad put a gorgeous ring on zoyas finger nd she stole a glance at him... oh was he good looking or was he good looking
nd a shy yet bold zoya put a ring on asads finger nd made a promise to her self to complete accept this man in front of her...nd make him her in the complete sence...
asad lifted his eyes nd looked at her ... she was in some deep thought... but looking at her face to face made him realize that the picture he had seen of her did not do justice to her beauty...

nd as ammi left asad said chaliye nd walked behind me ...we went outside near the lake...nd just stood silent

yeah i was born nd brought up outside ina different atmosphere nd among different ppl ... but i always knew nd accepted the fact that i will have to accept an arranged marriage ... i never had a problem with that but i just want the person to understand me... which i know is not possible very fast...but still i feel both have to take an effort to make a marriage successful
asad was mesmerized seeing her speak ... nd lisening to her very different opinion from most girls had left him dumbstruck...

zoya replied: aapko pata hai hamen hamesha se hi platinum ki rings bohot pasand rahi hain...platinum ki solitare diamond rings toh hamari fav thi...ammi kaha karti thi ki mein jisse bhi shaadi karungi uski jeb(pocket)

zoya: mujhe pizza bohot pasand hai... mein waise toh bohot batein karti hun par anjaan logon ke saath comfertable hone mein mujhe time lagta hai...mein cooking mein achi nahi hun...par koshish karti hun...
aur mujhe jeans bohot achi lagti hain..aur log kehte hain mein bohot messy hun
asad thougt to himself... jeans mujhe nahi pasand..pizza i hate it...zyada batein no no...messy...HORRORS!
zoya: aap apne bare mein kuch bataien
asad: mujhe life mein simple cheezen pasand hain...nd i m a very simple man...mujhe life mein neatness nd order pasand hai...nd junk food bilkul nahi pasand...
zoya thought shayad iss liye kehte hain opposite attract..ab kismat ne hamen jod hi diya hai toh dekhte hain kya hota hai...
zoya: mujhe aapko apne past ke bare mein kuch batana hai... mein samajhti hun ke yeh janna aap ka haq hai...
asad: mujhe aapke past se koi farq nahi padhta... mujhe bas aapke present nd future se matlab hai...
zoya : par aap...
asad: mein ne kaha na mujhe koi farq nahi padhta...
with that asad said abh hamen chalna chahiye...ammi raah dekh rahi hongi...
zoya: jee bilkul chaliye...but zoya still was a little unsure about her future husband not knowing the biggest truth of her life...the truth which she wished she cud erase away...
back in the hall ... asads ammi said that it was time to leave to their respective homes nd said that zoya was to go shopping with them tommorow for the preparation of the coming functions...aur asad tumhe bhi aana hai...declared ammi to an unhappy asad...
the next day zoya got ready to go shopping with ammi..she still found it a lil wierd saying ammi again after a long time...
and soon the car came to pick her up with an excited najma and happy ammi nd a sullen faced asad... she wondered he would be taxed if he smiled...cuz he smiled soo rarely that a person who wud she him wud wonder if he would go bankrupt if he smiled
soon they reached a jewelry store where an excited najma pulled zoya along with her to the necklace section where a simple heart pendent with an entwined a and z caught her eye...
on the other hand ammi reminded asad that he had to give a gift to his bride on the first night...
as asad glanced at zoya he realized there was a man constantly staring at zoya from head to toe in a creepy nd disgusting manner...asad went to him just stood in front of him nd said woh meri wife hain...with an xprssion that made the man run for his life...
later he was just left wondering as to what had possessed him
nd as zoya selected a bracelet for her nd with loads of shopping done by najma & ammi they soon returned back...
the days that followed saw zoyas and asads haldi...
where asad made a lot of fuss about haldi being applied to him...
and then followed the mehendi ... where the brides hand were adorned with henna and the grooms name hidden nd written...as soon as the brides henna was complete the grooms side people came along with the groom...
who was made to sit in front of zoya nd was asked to find his name in her hand ...which he obviously cud not ...nd all the girls demanded zoya to ask somthn impossible from asad as a gift for her nd a punishment for him...
nd zoya replied: waqt aane par mangugi aur aapko mujhe woh dena hi hoga..
asad just smiled at her nd said zaroor ...
asad was beginning to fall for her sweet behavior and actions...her huge eyes nd talkativness...
soon the day of the nikaah came...
and asad did not noe y but he was nervous...like some struck person...
on the other hand zoya was a lil scared about completely going into a new world she was looking gorgeous in a lenenga choli in deep red color nd less make up nd a simple jewelry set nd the traaditional forehead accesory...
