Chapter 2

Zoya: "Aapi, Phupi…"

Zeenat/Dilshad: "Ji beta"

Zoya: "I can't do this anymore. I can't marry Mr. Khan. This whole thing was a drama because you were sick Phupi so we thought to go along with it which would have been best for your health since it would keep you away from stress. But I can't lie anymore, I can't break your guy's heart anymore and I can't keep playing with the emotions of so many people anymore I cannot betray your trust anymore. Please Phupi you can find someone else to marry Mr. Khan to…and I think in this case you should really consider Tanveer. I mean she is Mr. Khan's childhood friend and they know each other very well there likes and dislikes. Besides Mr. Khan always wanted a wife like Tanveer and nothing like me. I am just a musibat and a misfit for Mr. Khan and his life. I think it would be in his best interest and for his family if you got him married to Tanveer and not me."

Dilshad: "Look beta please don't worry about all this right now. You rest okay we will sort this out later."

Zoya: "But Phupi…"

Dilshad: "But nothing Zoya you will rest while I got outside to talk to the doctor regarding your condition with your Aapi okay. Now rest beta."

With that both Dilshad and Zeenat placed a kiss on her forehead and left the room. As they came outside they saw Asad standing there with a pain stricken face. The guilt was evident on his face but he only received glares from his ammi, and Zoya's Aapi. They turned around and walked away to find the doctor to inquire about Zoya's health.

Asad sighed and then looked back to see Zoya looking at the ceiling with tears brimming her tears. He opened the door slightly but stopped as he heard Zoya was talking to his brother. So he decided to silently listen to the conversation.

Aayan: "Mona darling are you okay?"

Zoya: "Yeah Raabert I am fine thanks to catching me in time."

Aayan: "Mona darling is everything okay I mean why are you crying?"

Zoya: "Nothing Raabert it's just that some old memories resurfaced today during the accident and it's just bothering me."

Aayan: "Zoya…can I ask you something and can you please answer me honeslty."

Zoya: "Yeah go ahead Aayan shot. What do you want to ask me?"

Aayan: "You love bahi-jaan don't you?"

As soon as the words slipped out of Aayan's mouth Zoya clutched the bed sheets into her hand very tightly. She shut her eyes to stop the new set of tears from spilling out.

Zoya: "Aayan why would you ask me something like that. And besides what makes you think that?"

Aayan: "Zoya you can't lie to me. I saw you and bhai-jaan staring at each other during the sangeet I know you love him. I can see it in your eyes. Your love for him is true. But now why don't you want to get married to bhai-jaan what made you change your mind now of all times?"

Zoya: "Aayan you don't understand I am just a misfit for your bhai-jaan. Besides he even thinks of me as that he even told me many times. And besides he has also made this clear that he doesn't want to marry me. He said this is just all a drama till Phupi's health got better. But I cant do it anymore all the lies, and betrayal I just can't do it anymore Aayan."

Aayan: "I understand all that Zoya but you still didn't answer my question. You love bhai-jaan don't you and please tell me honestly don't lie to me. You consider me your friend so please tell me what's in her heart."

Zoya: "Yeah….Aayan…I do love your bhai-jaan a lot…but he doesn't love me…It's best if he just goes and gets married to Tanveer she has more importance in his life then I do."

Zoya chocked out on the last words and the tears that she was trying to hold back all spilled out. Aayan ran up to her and took her in for a hug. Zoya hugged him back as she really needed the comfort. Aayan tried to calm her down but wasn't successful so he just let her cry her heart out. Zoya's sobs slowly started to die away and she slowly pulled back from Aayan and looked up at him with a small smile on her face.

Zoya: "Thank you Aayan for being her for me. It means a lot to me."

Aayan: "No problem Zoya. I will always be there for you if you ever need me don't hesitate to call me. I'll come running to your aid!"

Zoya: "Okay."

With that Aayan got up and asked Zoya to rest as he wanted to go talk to the doctor about when she would be discharged. Aayan was coming out of the room and Asad quickly shut the door and ran off in the other direction. He couldn't let Aayan know that he had heard the whole confession between him and Zoya. Aayan came out and thought to himself to find a way to bring Zoya and his bhai-jaan together. He decided to go talk to Dilshad and Zoya's Aapi. He turned to walk off in the other direction looking for them.

Asad came back to Zoya's room and watched her through the window. She was just laying there and playing with her hands. Asad sat down on the bench and thought back to what he had just heard. He knew that he had loved Zoya but he wasn't sure whether or not if Zoya loved him back. But now he was sure that she did. They both shared the same feelings for each other. He felt a sudden joy as he realized that Zoya loved him but his smiled faded away quickly as he realized that she didn't want to get married to him anymore. In fact she felt that he should marry Tanveer. At the thought of Tanveer he sprang up off the bench to go see how she was doing. He made his way slowly to the room that Tanveer was in. He stood there thinking about Zoya and then turned to look up and saw Tanveer animatedly talking to the doctor and smiling. He thought that she had been unconscious. He slowly walked up to the door and pushed it open a little to listen to their conversation.

Tanveer: "So you understand what you have to do right? Everyone that came with me to this hospital should not know that I didn't suffer from any burns since I had applied the anti-burn gel all over my body. They should also not know that I am pregnant do you understand. And when they come to ask about my health tell them that I am still unconscious and that I was lucky to get away from the fire safely understand and in return I will give you a hefty reward."

Doctor: "Ji as you say I will do what you want me to."

Tanveer: "Theek hai doctor, shukriya for your help. This has just brought me a step closer to my goal and I have you to thank for that."

To say Asad was shocked would have been an understatement. He slowly shut the door and made his way back to Zoya's room he slumped down on the bench remembering Tanveer's conversation with the doctor. He remembered Arjun's words and remembered that he had said something was seriously wrong with the Tanveer situation. He was lost in his thoughts and decided that he would get to the bottom of this and find out what exactly Tanveer was up to. But first he had to do damage control with his feisty lioness that was hurt by his behavior and actions towards her today during the sangeet. He got up determined and barged into her room to make sure to set things right between her.

Zoya was shocked at the sudden commotion and was snapped out of her thoughts. She saw Asad standing there by the door with a different expression written on his face. She couldn't put her finger on it but something was different about him. She quickly wiped away the tears and turned to look at Asad again. Asad took long strides towards her and sat down on her bed. As he sat down Asad grabbed her by her shoulder and pulled her into a bone crushing hug and Zoya immediately stiffened in his hold.

Asad: "Thank good you are alright Zoya! I was so worried about you!"

Zoya felt herself relax a little at his words but then remembered how he had ignored her during her panic attack and after the chandelier accident and then didn't even come to her aid when she was about to faint. She pushed hard against Asad's chest and shoved him off her. Zoya sent a deadly glare to him and Asad just stared at her shocked by her actions.

Zoya: "Please don't be concerned about me Mr. Khan I am perfectly fine now. Besides why are you here shouldn't you be with your dear Tanu since her life is in danger."

It felt as if a knife had been stabbed through his heart. Zoya's words heart him a lot they felt cold, sharp, and emotionless. He looked up to her eyes and saw the new tears that were slowly forming he looked past the tears and saw the pain and anger in her eyes. He knew that he had heart her dearly today but he would do anything to get her to forgive him.

Asad: "Why would I be with Tanveer when I am here with my beautiful fiance."

Zoya was a little taken aback by his reply and looked up at his face. He was smiling at her and she just melted by seeing his big smile and beautiful dimples. But she quickly averted her gaze as she was still upset with him and his actions.

Asad: "Zoya I am sorry I know I should have been there for you when you needed me. But you know me right I am just a emotionally challenged person. I am sorry please forgive me."

Asad gave her his rarest smiles again flashing his dimples at her again. He leaned in again and hugged her. He made circles on her waist and felt Zoya relax into his hold.

Zoya: "It's okay Mr. Khan I forgive you."

Asad pulled back and smiled again and thanked her. They both had an eye lock and both got lost in the depths of each other's eyes which spoke volumes to each other. Zoya knew he was sorry and decided to forgive him since she loved her Jahanpana to much to see him hurting or in pain. They were interrupted upon hearing the clearing the Ahem from several voices behind them. They looked away and saw that Aayan, his ammi, the doctor and Zoya's appi were standing at the door with smiles on their face. Asad stood up next to Zoya and looked at everyone with a smile on his face.

Dilshad: "Woh Asad we talked to the doctor and he said we can take Zoya home now we already completed the paper work so let's go."

Asad: "Ji Ammi."

Zoya shuffled out of the bed and tried getting up but felt very weak Asad noticed this and held up his hand and told her to stop moving.

Asad: "Zoya wait you're too weak let me help you."

Without a reply from Zoya he swopped down and gathered her up in his arms bridal style. He looked at Zoya's face and it had turned red and she hid her face in the crook of his neck. She intertwined her hands around his neck and blushed harder when she felt Asad peck her on the forehead. She looked up at Asad and saw that he was smiling at her again and then started to smirk at her bewildered expression on her face.

Asad: "Let's go ammi; it's pretty late now we should get home."

Dilshad: "Oh yeah beta but what about Tanveer I talked to her doctor and they said she can go home by tomorrow. I mean did you speak to the doctor to see if she was okay. The doctor told me that she is in really bad…"

But before she could finish Asad cut her off.

Asad: "Ammi please don't worry about Tanveer she is perfectly fine now let's go home. I will have the driver come and pick her up in the morning.

She sensed the tension and control in his voice and thought to leave it at that and to not push the topic anymore.

His grip around Zoya tightened as he remembered what he had heard. Zoya felt the change in Asad and looked up at his face. His expression was different. His eyes held, anger and rage in them and he had clenched his jaw down she saw the crease lines on his forehead and felt him tighten his hold on her even more. She knew something was wrong and quickly tried to calm him down. She slowly leaned in and gave him a peck on the cheek. Asad felt Zoya lean in and then he felt something soft and warm against his cheek. He looked down at Zoya and saw her blushing and hiding her face from his intense gaze. He smiled and then slowly loosened his steel like grip on her and made his way out of the hospital. He went and placed Zoya in the front seat while everyone else piled up in the back and headed back to Khan Mansion.

Dilshad and Zeenat in the back were exchanging smiles between each other and looking at Asad and Zoya who were sitting up in front quietly.

Flashback at the hospital:

Zeenat: "Dilshad bi, what is Zoya talking about I mean why does she want to call of this wedding now at this time. I thought that both Asad and Zoya loved each other?"

Dilshad: "Yes they do love each other but my son still has not been able to tell Zoya about his true feelings for her. He loves her and he had decided to tell her today during the sangeet but I guess they didn't get the time.

Zeenat: "That all is fine but now what do we do. Zoya is mad at Asad and she doesn't want to go ahead with this nikaah anymore."

Dilshad: "That's why now we have to help our children to come together before they take a step that they will both regret."

Zeenat: "But what will we do? And first is first does Zoya also love Asad?"

Before Dilshad could answer back to Zeenat, Aayan walked in.

Aayan: "Yes Zoya loves Asad bhai-jaan a lot. I just talked to her and she told me her feelings that she has for bhai-jaan. But we have a problem which is Tanveer. She is getting in the way of their relationship and it is hurting Zoya a lot when bhai-jaan shows more concern for Tanveer then Zoya."

Dilshad: "Yes I have noticed that also what we have to do is just keep Tanveer away from Asad. And Aayan you should talk to your bhai-jaan see what is going on his mind. I know he loves Zoya and he was even going to talk to her today and tell her about his feelings but it wasn't possible."

Aayan: "Ji I will talk to him but you guys just have to focus on keeping this Tanveer away from bhai-jaan."

Zeenat/Dilshad: "Don't worry we will take care of that."

End of flashback

Dilshad and Zeenat both whispered amongst each other as they realized that Zoya and Asad already sorted out the difference and where now fine. Now they only had to deal with keeping Tanveer away from Asad till Asad is able to confess his feelings to Zoya.

They arrived home and Asad carried Zoya in and got her settled in her room. Everyone else came in and checked up on her and when she was fine they all made their way to their rooms to go to sleep. Asad stayed back until Zoya was completely settled in. As she got settled in Asad sat next to her and and cupped her face and planted a kiss on her forehead. He pulled back smiled and got up and walked to the door.

Asad: "Goodnight Zoya."

Zoya: "G..good night Asad."

With that Asad went back to his room and soon the whole Khan household was in deep slumber awaiting the dawn of a new day in which Asad and Zoya would start to take their relationship to the next level and Asad would start to find out about Tanveer's true intentions of staying here.

Hey guys so that's chapter 2! I don't know what i wrote exactly and if you guys will like it but please do comment and let me know who it was. I have been thinking of turning this into a SS or FF since its not a OS anymore with the path I am taking with the story. I don't know so please let me know what you guys want okay. I love this!!!! So sweet how ayaan asks her if shes in love. Love their relationship here :) very nicely portrayed and how she confessed was just heart wrenching, how she cries on ayaan's shoulder..

And TANVEER!!! Aahhh LOVE that he heard that himself!!!!! Aww and how he picked zoya up and apologized was just precious and how she calmed him down with the peck i loveee your writting!!!! Can't wait to read moreee, please tell me theres more
