CV's there are some issues I am having and so thought of penning it down. And before I do that I just want to write to all my forum friends here, this is solely and wholly my opinion. No one has to agree to it but if you do please refrain from being harsh and rude, this is in no way a bashing topic.
I am happy yes but not ecstatic with the show CV's. Ok first of all my liking of any show is based on the characterisation and storyline and when I lose the essence of the characters I lose interest and leave watching. I know it doesn't matter what I do or want but my request always is to keep the core of the character consistent.
This doesn't mean a character won't evolve but as I said the essence should always remain the same. The metamorphosis of Asad Ahmad Khan has already begun a lot time back but in the process don't lose the traits that made me like him in the first place, that made him Asad Ahmad Khan!
His mom and sister used to be so scared of him and his temper and now by hook or crook they are making him dance to their tunes both literally and symbolically. Really! I like the Asad of 'dance isse kahate hai Ms. Farooqui' or 'plan isse kahate hai' and now we are seeing him shaking his leg on the instructions of some dance master that too on his mom's and sister's command and requests. You see these little things bother me. Yes his mom is unwell and he will do anything, he adores his sister and will listen to her, he loves Ms. Farooqui and will do anything for her but all along he did it on his own terms but now he is a mere puppet in their hands. Hard for me to digest. Don't get me wrong, the episode was hilarious seeing a gay making a pass at him and his expressions were priceless but I am talking about the essence of his character here.
If I criticise I will also praise wholeheartedly as well. I liked the way he told Zoya's sister this marriage is real. Again here his character came into play, he decided on his terms that he will marry Zoya, there was no forcing, no hands of a 3rd person involved in his decision. He said that knowing irrespectively that his mom is not sick and his heart told him to say so. And though Zoya's sister was there right in front of him yet his eyes were only on Zoya when he said 'yes'. This was the action of a true hero, very leonine trait!
And I hope you all keep this trait in him. I am skeptical and scared because every time 4Lions starts of with a lion-like male lead which is way too larger than life and after he falls in love he just becomes a normal ordinary human being and we as audience lose what we fell in love with in the first place. It had happened to Maan Singh Khurana, Arnav Sing Raizada and I sincerely hope this history is not repeated with Asad Ahmad Khan. He can fall in love, change and become more caring or tender but I don't want to see a soft, love sick puppy dancing to any one's tunes and plans.
And now with Zoya!! As a woman I am highly offended. CV's you have still not made her say 'I love Mr. Khan' to herself. Seriously!! She is engaged, going to get married, is jealous of her guy, is happy when he is around and paying attention to her, angry when he ignores and shouts at her, is sad when he refuses to accept this marriage and engagement is real, is dreaming about him day and night, romancing him away and yet she is confused about her feelings???? She still doesn't realise she loves him!!
She is not dumb, very smart with a strong presence of mind, ultra modern, strong and independent brought up in New York and yet she doesn't have a say when it comes to her own marriage. Yet she refused to get married twice and ran away showing a strong presence of mind and now Asad puts on a ring she feels she is happily engaged, he refuses and she is sad, Dilshad announced she is her 'bride to be' for son and Zoya is ready to comply and now Asad said yes to the marriage and she will willingly marry him without even confessing to herself that she loves him. I am not saying she should propose to Asad but all I want is for her to be true to herself at least. I want to hear her say to herself 'yes I love him and that is why I want to marry him' or else you lost your female lead right there who being strong, modern and independent doesn't know her own mind and gets married just because other characters wanted her to. Doesn't tally with her past history!
About Asad we know right after Mangalpur he loves Zoya but about her we as audience have no clue and neither does Zoya herself.
And last but not the least, isn't Rashid Ahmad Khan's family, Badi B and Razia enough to hog half of Asad and Zoya's time but now we will have to bear innumerable characters as well. I don't watch any other show but now will be seeing other show's characters along with their story just to see the wedding of Asad and Zoya. This Mahasangram is all grand and big but in this process the limelight will be taken away from Asad and Zoya to some major extent. The thrill and happiness will be diluted with all these other character's life story. I want a sole episode on only Asad and Zoya and their wedding but now will be tolerating so many other characters and stories.
And moreover why is someone else telling Asad how to propose, really!!?? Again you lost a trait of Asad for me there CV's. He is not someone to go and ask for help to propose to his love, he would have gone and started with 'woh actually'...and then would have ended up with 'propose karna isse kahete hai Ms. Farooqui'. And in this process that you have adopted you will make him look an ordinary man just like others, that Asad trait will be lost. He is very private and reserve and he will never go and ask his friend for help on this regard.
CV's I hope you mend these issues or else a major part of Asad and Zoya for me will be lost in this process.

i think we need to give the CVs a chance. they are doing a fantastic job!!!

and i do like your idea on his proposal - " 'woh actually'...and then would have ended up with 'propose karna isse kahete hai Ms. Farooqui'"

give Asad / CVs some time - Asad will do it his style i'm sure. and so will Zoya!

like your post, but Asad dancing to SIngham - dance teacher was with a motive, he did it on purpose to make Zoya jealous,
yesterday he was so firm and disgusted, only when he sensed jealousy in Zoya did he allow himself to be touched, and it did bring Zoya to admit, and I think it was a good strategic move by Asad,

If he did not know that Zoya was jealous, he probably may not have admitted to AAPI that everything was true

Asad was desperately trying to find out waht is on Zoya's mind, he even asked Ayaaan.

I find the story moving on well

Oh believe me I have always given CV's the whole credit, every time. If you ever read my posts earlier you will know. These are some issues I wanted them to concentrate on and this is for their own good, unless and until they know what the audience feel they won't know they are doing a good job.
I will keep my fingers crossed and hope like you that Asad will propose in his 'singham' style that will have Asad written all over it.

Thanks for putting your views. As l said its totally my POV here.
You see my point exactly, if Asad danced to make Zoya jealous then he didn't need to, she already was and he saw and knew it. And again if you think from Asad's character's POV it doesn't matter to him what others think including Zoya, he does and did what HE wanted...always. So the deviation from his usual self is what I am commenting about here.
The episode was very entertaining and I too smiled at his expressions but the very fact that he did what was being told to him looked odd because it has always been the other way round. Its almost like seeing if Zoya meekly agreed to what he said or what someone told her without putting her opinions upfront. You expect her to challenge and fight back. Same way I don't expect Asad to shake a leg because of anyone be it his mom, sister or Zoya. He will do it but in his own style. And as I said even his mom and sister used to be so scared of him, they used to be in awe but now he is just being pushed around.
Anyway these are my hurdles which I have to cross over and if I can't I will leave watching the show.
And believe me Asad would have told Zoya's appi 'yes' no matter what even if he didn't know Zoya was jealous. Asad is someone when put in front of a dire situation will always do and follow his heart. Look back, be it Mangalpur, be trying to protect Zoya later from Maryam's dad, that night under 'bhaang's influence', airport scenario...every time whenever he saw Zoya moving away from his life or felt threatened about Zoya's safety he simply does and follows his heart to keep her to himself. This situation was one of that, he knew if Zoya's appi realised this was all a characde she would have taken Zoya in the next flight back to NYC and Asad couldn't have done anything. He would have said YES to her no matter what. That is Asad in a nutshell for you.

And CV's another point, I wanted Asad and Zoya to find out about Tanveer and not by some 3rd person totally and completely unrelated to the show. I know this girl from other show will find the clues and inform Asad and Zoya and they will follow up on the clue leading to Tanveer but nevertheless I wanted all of it to be their effort.
Tanveer should be exposed by only Asad and Zoya completely and justly punished.

Oh and another point of appreciation, loved the mother-son interaction today! Very nicely done!
Asad's fear was voiced so clearly by Dilshad and Asad didn't even negate all that. He knew and she knew and yet she taught him to look over his past and welcome the future with love. And he accepted Zoya in his own way which though incoherent and incomplete but totally complete if anyone knows and understands Asad. That acceptance of Zoya from him is in itself a huge step from his end.
Wonderful scene, loved it.

I think you answered your own question. He danced on his own terms!! His mind is playing a tug of war with his heart but is losing. His past has left him scarred and scared! He wants to be with Zoya and is fighting a losing battle with his fears of hurting her. Hence we are getting to see those teeny weeny smiles and smirks.

As for Zoya, for all her loudness and unbashful ways, she is all alone. She hides behind her occasional immaturity!! Although, she hasn't fully realized that she is in love with her Akdu, she feels at home. She craves for his attention.

Give the cvs some time. I am sure you will see Zoya's confession soon!

Thanks for sharing your opinion! Keep watching Qubool Hai!
