Hi all!!!😊
Not many of you know my, so let me introduce myself:
My name is Narges and I have been on the forum for quite a few years now, but I am more of a silent reader. I do comment on posts once in a while and also I do keep track of everything😉 So I am up to date of all the things happening on the forum😉
Anyways, let's get to the point:
Nowadays, the big news are the Indian Telly Awards. Indeed, it is a highly popular and very prestigious award for the TV industry and TV personalities. Best actor/actress, supporting actor/actress, new face male/female and lot more categories. However, I do think that one category is missing: the best background score/music.
I do not understand why there has not been any category for the BGM in shows? How can they neglect the wonderful piece of music that those music directors compose for numerous Indian shows? I truly believe that the people behind the BGM are not given the attention they deserve and their talent is so underrated. I was listening to the beautiful BGM of Qubool Hai and I bet all of you agree if I say that 'Mitwa, ishq pe zor nahin' is just one beautiful piece of music.😳 Raju Singh is such a talented music composer and has delivered many title songs, BGM and lot more. (Just check his website) Even his BGM in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon still echoes in my ears...Rabba Ve... 😳(I am not making any comparison here)
Different factors can make a scene work and look good: the lead actor and actress, their chemistry, ambiance and of course the BGM. No matter how good the lead pair acts and what sizzling chemistry they have, if the BGM is not up to the mark than the whole scene can be a huge let down. The BGM gives the scene a feel, an ambiance, an emotion. Why do we fans remember the best of the best scenes of a lead pair? Mainly, because of the BGM.
Some of it has become so popular that even Bollywood songs are nothing compared to them 😛 Jokes apart... I hope you all do understand the bottom line, right?
All I want to say is that award show should include a category for BGM and acknowledge the talent of those great music composers. I do not know many of them, but Raju Singh is definitely one of the best.
I really do hope that in the future we can vote for our favorite BGM!!!
Cheers😊
This was just my point of view. Of course, please feel free to share yours😊
