Too much information clouds my brain. Yes, I am talking about the spoilers!!!
Till the Friday precap, all that I needed to process was that Asad was going to propose to Zoya. Am I the only one who questions how that came about? It came as shock for me, since I did not expect this so soon. Not that I did not welcome it, still, I had not expected him to come out with such a passionate proposal. The look that got imprinted in my mind was that of Zoya's actually. She looked shell- shocked! Kind of like, 'Allah Miyan, what is wrong with me? Am I dreaming?'
"Aap mujhse sagai karegi?"
This was neither a question, nor a proposal. It was a confirmation of Asad's beliefs. He quoted the 'differences' that existed between him and Ms. Farooqui a few episodes back.
What are these differences?
Is it just about their beliefs and upbringing? They stand at two opposite poles, and the polarity is so evident that even Najma and Dilshad who both love them cannot think of them as a couple yet. And this is what Asad was trying to tell Zoya, "Aap mujhse sagai karegi?" Meaning- How is it possible to even think about an alliance between us? Forget the fact that I have feelings that overpower me so much that I go against my ideals, start lying and misleading even the law to keep you within my sight...What about you? Have you even thought for a second, how impossible life'd be for you with a person like me? To me, this means Asad IS STILL NOT WILLING TO COMPROMISE. He has very well deciphered his heart, and is astonished at the things it makes him do; it is a constant tug of war. Zoya's tears and his fear of losing her make him grab hold of her again and again, even as evil forces at work highlight the reasons he should let her go: "Agar tum sagai karna chaahoge, tab bhi main tumhe karne nahi deti!"
And Zoya? Where is she in this tug of war? Mr. Khan has been pulling and pushing her away, making her confused. She knows Mr. Khan cares for her. And she has admitted to him that she sleeps peacefully knowing he will take care of her. It is as simple as that for Zoya. She has repeatedly placed her trust on him, in spite of disagreeing with him on many issues. And it is a child like trust that stays unshattered despite every harsh word he throws her way, calling her well meaning acts, childish and immature and negligent. And that taunt he keeps throwing her way when she hurts his family- that reminder of her being an orphan- 'usse rishton ki kadar nahi hai'- she has heard it over and over again, and tried to prove him with her actions. Alas! Mr. Khan does not realise that 'Actions speak louder than words'- in spite of Najma reminding him- "Only Zoya would do this for us!"
And it breaks his heart that she does not even seem to care about him when she goes about her crusade. If they are a team, why does it never occur to her to check with him? Her last endeavour to bring the brothers together also ended in him and his family getting slandered by Gafoor and Raziya. Then why does she attempt to repeat the same mistakes? And how many more mistakes, how much more mud slinging at his Ammi would make her realise that she had to know her limits. "Aap ko apni hadein nazar hi nahi aate!" But when will Asad realise that Zoya wouldn't try to make his life lovelier if he learned to converse with her? If he learned to forgive his father, like his Ammi had.
If Asad were to ask Zoya, "Aap mujhse sagai karegi", would she not accept? She has forgiven him every misdeed, every tongue- lashing. She has shown him what true love is about. What is a ring for her?- A sign of acceptance by him, a name to their relationship? Has she not progressed beyond all that? And that look of wonder on her face as Asad pops the question...what surprises her? That Asad has feelings for her? Or that he is agreeing to it, finally? Or is it all a little too soon for her? Too soon, not because she is unsure of herself, but because she is still trying to unravel the mystery this man is!
Raziya and Tanveer: Ek teer se do shikar.
Two birds with one stone. If Tanveer shot the first arrow, is Raziya far behind? Right now, they both want Zoya out of the country, for different reasons. Will there come a time when they both want Zoya to stay back, for different reasons in different camps?
Two birds for Tanveer:
Send Zoya into Siddiqui household, set her up firmly in the enemy camp so that Asad will not dream about wedding his enemy's daughter? Or his brother's 'heartthrob'? (How possible is Ayan- Zoya, now that Zoya knows that Humeira is head over heels in love with Ayan? So if that track happens, it will again be a misunderstanding engineered by Billo?)
Two birds- Raziya's daughter cries and she gets Asad.
Who is smarter?- Raziya or Tanveer? Is that even a question?
Will it take long for Raziya to shoot back, and this time with double the impact? The best way to keep Zoya out of her husband's way, if she cannot have her deported, would be to send her back to Asad- and keep her there- out of Siddiqui's reach. JUST A MAD THOUGHT- Will Raziya end up bringing AsYa closer?
Siddiqui and his daughters:
Gafoor might be many things, but he is a gem of a father to have. And the world honours him for the family man he is. Humeira is everything for him. He gifted her the musical toy after MANY YEARS. What prompted him to do this now? What triggered his memory of the identical toys he had made for his two children? As he gifted Humeira on her engagement, did he remember his first- born,? (A fb of Gafoor's only memory of Zoya would have been very welcome here.) And it is this face of the man that Zoya has witnessed. Will she not want this father to accept her with open arms? Will he not be willing, once he knows the child has survived and come back for him? And will it be this father who will be punished by Raziya? The lover was punished by Raziya taking away his first love. Will not the father be punished by Raziya taking away his daughter? If so, who will it be – Humeira or Zoya? What will hurt the father the most? Will it not be the child he has raised and pinned all his hopes on? Will Raziya do it? Will she harm her own child to see her husband in pain? I feel this is a mad woman capable of anything.😡

Actually, there seems to be a lot of drama Tanveer- scripted coming up. I know AsYa will brave those storms well. The thought that keeps me totally hooked on is the future beyond Tanveer- once Asad has fought the demons within himself, how will he best the blood ties that strive to keep the lovers apart?😊
