Facing The Music: Epi Apr 17
What a beautiful episode of QH today! Today's episode belonged to none other than our Ms. Museebat, Zoya Farooqui. Yesterday, she frustrated me but today, I can only admire and commend her for who she is. I guess that's what happens with Asad mian on a daily basis. Her antics and interfering actions without caring for the consequences irritate him, but when he realizes her intention and the warmth behind those actions, his heart just melts with love and affection for her.
She is one person, who can walk into anyone's heart without knocking or seeking permission. She just knows how to make her way. She has done so with Dilshaad, Najma, Asad, Ayaan and now she has entered the Siddiqui mansion. Yes, it will take her time to carve her path but she will one day, just like always has (I am not counting Tanveer and Razia here because they belong to another planet)
Ayaan-Zoya: Their friendship has been built in a very beautiful and realistic way by the writers. They share a lot in common- love for life, shayari, adventurous, mischievous and above all both love Asad dearly. While Ayaan really wanted Asad's presence at his engagement, despite all odds, Zoya made it possible through her new age electronic communication devices. She even parted with her dear iPad. Now that's saying something. The way she defended Asad in front of Ayaan was very heartwarming. She really understands Asad well, then why does she expect him to spell out everything to her? Perhaps, like any woman, she just wants to hear those three lovely words from him. I think she knows Asad loves her, just like he loves Ayaan. While she can express Asad's feelings to Ayaan, she really wants Asad to express his feelings directly to her.
Zoya-Humeira-Ghafoor: This was my favorite scene of the day. The scene was well conceptualized, very emotional and very symbolic. The custom-made music box binds these three characters. Ironically, while Zoya has always had the music box, she hasn't had the privilege of being with its maker. Humeira, on the other hand, has always been with the maker but has just gotten possession of the music box. Does that mean, Zoya will soon discover her father too? Will their paths- the music box, the music maker and the two sisters- meet somewhere in the near future? Ghafoor, despite all his shallowness and spinelessness has a very soft corner for his daughter (s). He dotes on Humeira and can do anything for her, but will he be the same way with Zoya? The way Zoya hid behind the boxes tells me that she will continue to be a distant observer of this father-daughter bond. While she will be happy for her sister, she will crave for his attention.
The music box will definitely play a big role when Zoya comes face to face with her father and her identity but before that she will have to face a lot of music from others.
First and foremost, Razia, who is already in the prowl and suspicious about a certain Gul-e-Nagma wandering around in a burka. The precap says it all. Zoya will be blamed, humiliated and slapped in public by none other than evil-personified Razia begum.
Next, she will have to face the music at the Khan residence. Asad, although genuinely concerned about Zoya's presence at Ayaan's house (his voice almost cracked when he said how irresponsible Zoya is. He was scared for her and not upset with her). We all know, he is going to get upset with her initially but his real anger would be targeted towards the Siddiquis. Allah only knows how this issue will be resolved. I guess we will just wait for the next few episodes.
Symbolisms:
- Tanveer: Unlike my prediction yesterday, I will say that even though Tanveer will keep eyeing that engagement ring, she will never be able to own it. She picked it up but had to hide it back on Asad's bed.
- Humeira-Zoya-Ghafoor: Zoya will be kept in the sidelines as she watches the father-daughter bond in front of her eyes.
- While her quest for her father brought Zoya close to Asad, Asad's quest for her will bring Zoya close to her father.
4. Tanveer hid the poison in her dupatta: shows that even though shareef on the outside, she is poison on the inside
5.Zoya gave her beloved iPad to Ayaan today. This iPad was Asad's gift. I will just leave it here as I don't want to scare anyone😆
