15th April: Amusing and beautiful

What a beautiful episode. Things to note:

-Asad's complete amusement at Zoya's power of imagination. She keeps flying away with her imagination while he keeps grounding her: khwaab tha, puppy ko wahi chod diya, floor pe pizza tha.

-Jaise mein khwaab se uthi, meine dekha Mr. Khan mere samne khade dekh rahe hai: Oh Zoya, how oblivious you are to his feelings. She's still in her dreamland of flowers, sparkles, stars, the moon and so on. Every now and then she senses the attraction and care between the two of them on a less than fully conscious level, but she does not delve further into it. Zoya cannot be in denial because she hasn't even recognized her romantic feelings for Asad yet ( and I don't think she's the kind who will be in denial when she does realize her feelings in the future). The current problem is that she hasn't even stopped and pondered enough to realize the actual nature of her feelings (or his for her) in the first place. That one line summarizes their current equation. Asad is right in front of her eyes but she is still in her dreamland, far from realizing that what she is seeking is right here.

-His recollection of the first time he saw her! He was pleasantly lost in those memories while talking with DB. No hesitation, no regret on his part during and after his recollection. He was honest. He had noticed every little movement of hers. It was somewhat like a part from my os from way back when *smug smile* Loved this part. I always wanted a scene where Asad would reminisce that beautiful dargah scene. He called her beautiful for the first time ever! And in front of everyone.

-Sagaai kal hai??? He asks looking at his Ammi. I promise he would've gotten engaged and subsequently married to Zoya had Zoya given him a yes and had Dilshaad nudged him just a bit today . Asad is almost past his denial in my opinion and every now and then he looks at Zoya expectantly (though we have yet to seem him name his feelings as ishq but that will come soon I feel). He might still have reservations about the difference in their natures but if Zoya had said yes today and stuck to her yes, he would have happily gotten into a 'paak rishta' through engagement with her.

-His smile when she said yes. (I shed a tear for him) Like I said above, I do feel they would've gone ahead (with a fake engagement turned real) had she stuck to her yes. Then she said no...which reminded him of the reality of the situation and that they are two different individuals. He asked a serious question and she flip-flopped with her answer. What was real to him was a charade and a game to her. And he indirectly says so when he says 'mein kisi ke fayde ke liye yeh paak rishta..." In Asad's eyes, Zoya is still the girl who can't take anything seriously and rightly so. Thus far, she hasn't shown him much that would make him believe so.

-Dilshaad knows! I had faith in Dilshaad and I'm glad that its starting to look like it was well deserved. Some points to remember: 1) Dilshaad wanted to send Zoya with Asad on the mangalpur trip (because I feel she wanted them to spend some alone time together). 2) Post mangalpur, she reminded Asad about even kismat wanting them two to be in the same place and smiles a knowing smile but he soon disappoints her by talking about Zoya being a musibat. 3) Dilshaad praises Tannu on her being perfect bahu material, talks about the Tannu-Jammy marriage joke from their childhood days while she keenly observes Zoya's reaction. There have been a few other instances but I can't seem to recall them right now.

-Najma is dying to have Zoya as her bhabi. Cute little tamatar! She looked so cute getting shocked at all the happenings between Zoya and her strict Asad Bhaijaan. She couldn't believe her eyes.

-The Ring: Well, so we know the sacred ring exists. The synopsis says that Tanveer gets engaged to Asad. I feel that The Ring will never make it to Tanveer's finger. So will Jammy-Tannu get engaged at all and if they do, will Asad use a different ring for her? The Ring is only meant for Zoya's ring finger, we can be sure. That's how pure, paak love stories in hindi shows work.

-Prediction: Naah. Too confusing at the moment. Ok maybe I should try just for the fun of it:
1) Zoya Asad bicker at night. Mitwa. DB returns to spy on them after the call from the cat and catches them Mitwa handed. DB believes that the engagement is still on and leaves.
2) Next day is the day of AsYa engagement and Humayaan engagement. Zoya goes to Ayaan's party. Gets slapped. Humayaan engagement postponed due to Humeira's fainting spell.
3) Shireen calls Dilshaad and accuses her of orchestrating the whole drama. Asad finds out Zoya went. Asad upset and perhaps angry.
4) Later in the evening DB visits. AsYa continue their pretense. Something happens and Asad confesses the truth. Zoya has to leave and this time she does leave.
5) Asad distraught, tells Dolly about his love! (and calls it love?) Dolly tells him to go stop Zoya, she will take care of the visa.
6) Asad leaves, frantically searching for Zoya. Zoya has met with some near fatal accident. (remember the 48 hours comment by Zoya last week?). Asad goes into mangalpur mode.
7) Dolly convinces DB to extend Zoya's visa after seeing how much Asad cares for her during Zoya's recovery.
8) In the other household, Humeira is recovering from her own near fatal poisoning.
9) The Asad household (since it's Najma's vacation time) or only Asad-Zoya leave for Ajmer in order to offer thanks for Zoya's recovery.

I like your prediction. Cvs always kept Asya and Ayra tracks parallel. So when Humeira goes through life and death situation, we might also get one with Zoya.

I like your predictions better than what CVs are dishing out. Very nice.

Miss T has already done enough by calling DB! She will also be making or arranging for poisoned desert isn't it. She's quite the slow poke though 😆

Thanks! I basically only arranged the bits and pieces showered on us by SBS/SBB and articles in an order that made sense to me. And all of it does come from the CVs directly or indirectly!

I agree..the first scene of the episode was very sweet..especially with the way Asad remembered about how he first saw Zoya at the dargah. I did not see it coming, I wonder what Zoya thought about his recollection and what part of their first meeting does she remember..😆. I liked how you described his state of mind when he appeared slightly indulgent while recounting the meeting and at the same time was honest and forthright. He even complimented her by saying she was looking beautiful. Also like you said, the way he kept paani phero-ing at all her stories by adding she "left the puppy and the basket behind" and how he had to throw her leftover Pizza boxes into the "dustbin" 😆... indirectly making his opinions about her stories clear 😆 ..nice touches there.

Zoya was taken aback. But true to her self, she won't think too deeply about it until she is separated from Asad in a long term separation track, I think.

Haha yeah! They did a good job at keeping their characters intact during that scene. He was short and to the point in everything he had to say and she was meandering through all sorts of tracks. Even though he paani-pheroed her ideas, he was highly amused and entertained. The old Asad would have rolled his eyes, called her stupid and left. He has come a long way!

Also, when DB was about to say something in the end, he subtly offered her his arm to hold on to in order to continue to charade. That was a really nice touch!
