Asad Agh!! Why Asad why? Why do you always run away from Zoe? Why could not you let her see the relief and happiness on your face after she accepted the letter? You could have remained back to atleast listen to what she wished to say.But no!! You love to play hide and seek games Mr. Khan. Firstly a well descriptive post of the episode, and I liked the part above very much. I am really happy that he did not make his dream reality. Yes, He wants her to stay and she wants to stay too. But we the audience knows what they are going through and their feeling towards each other. Asad and Zoya don't know that. Therefore I am really pleased that he did not convince her emotionally.
Perhaps he could tell her to stay but the question zoya would ask is "why" she should stay. And therefore it would be too early for him to tell her the reason, a reason he himself has not come to terms with yet and a reason she might not be ready to hear even if he exclaimed it at the heat of the moment. It would make things awkward for them.
So yes, I liked his way of making her to stay, I think that he could read in her eyes that she wanted to stay but was not sure so he got her the work permit, that way he will know her decision whether she wants to stay or not now that her reason for staying in India to find her abbu has ended. I think he wanted to confirm if Zoya wants to stay for him now that the other man in her life her abbu is not anymore. Asad is unsure of Zoya feelings I think he is able to test this now. If Zoya stays it means her reason for staying in India is now Asad.
And the reason he did not stay to see her reaction when she finally took the letter was perhaps because he was afraid that she might hesitate and give it back to him and I think that he couldn't handle that situation then, I think he became afraid that what if Zoya says no, therefore, he quickly went to his room.
