Ripples from the past and its effects.

Deceit, anger, hurt, betrayal, yearning for love and acceptance - these are some of the things behind what is driving the characters in Qh. Many times we do not know the reason why we behave in a certain way and we do not have any clue as to why we do certain things the way we do. All we know is that we are consumed by certain emotions over which we do not have any self control.

Sometimes these emotions are a result of something we ourselves did knowingly or unknowingly. Sometimes these emotions are the result of a stone that someone far away threw to the calm sea of our life, the ripples of which spread and disturb the lives of us and everyone close to us.

In this case it was a stone thrown by Raziya, and the ripples from it have been affecting the lives of so many in QH. Raziya's anger and jealousy towards an innocent woman whose only fault was to fall in love with a man who did not have the guts to love her back, made Raziya commit a crime, the effects of which are indirectly and directly causing storms in so many lives.

Raziya might have created just a ripple at that time, but the winds of time and circumstances have changed the ripples into currents of a big storm, the dark clouds of which are hanging over everyone.

Now who will have the courage, wisdom and determination to swim in the currents this storm is creating and reach the shore safely, and who will succumb to the currents and get drowned is to be seen.

Asad Ahmed Khan, the man whose heart was closed by a wall of hurt, hate and bitterness:

AAK is an educated successful man who is genuine in his thoughts, who is caring and considerate towards his loved ones and can go to any extent to protect and keep the honor of his family and those he care for. We have seen his caring side. We constantly see his deep rooted love towards his Mom , Najma and Ayaan and even his half sisters. We have seen him standing up for Zoya even when he did not like her and had nothing but mistrust towards her. So what is driving him these days which is making him get alienated from everyone he loves and everyone who in turn loves him genuingly?

Raziya's that one act is again the thing which is causing a turmoil in Asad's life. From the day Rashid left them Asad has closed his heart with a wall of hate, bitterness, mistrust and hurt and does not allow anyone to enter through that wall, except the few mentioned above.

And today that mistrust, hurt and bitterness is making Asad alienated from every one close to him - Dilshad , Ayaan and Zoya. We know that Asad is an honorable man who would stand for the truth. But at the same time we also know that it is not just standing up for what he believe is the truth which is making Asad feel so strongly towards Rashid. Unaware to Asad, behind his strong desire to punish Rashid lies the hurt, bitterness and anger towards Rashid that he has been carrying in his heart since childhood. And these emotions are making him blind to so many things.

And Tanveer is ready to catch him with a net she is about to throw into the sea in which Asad is swimming.

Will Asad realize in time that it is a net which will either strangle him in the coming days or throw him again to the sharks (when she snatches away all his hard earned wealth) rather than taking him to safety?

With a girl like Tanveer, Asad will never be able to find himself, accept his past and move on.And with Tanveer he will continue to float down and one day will get drowned completely, because even if Tanveer let go of her evilness, she would never be able to penetrate to Asad's heart and offer him the kind of solace he needs.

So will Zoya be there to save him and swim together towards the shore? Or even if Asad escapes Tanveer's net in time, will it be too late for Asad and Zoya and Asad is going to get drowned in a sea of hurt and bitterness for the rest of his life?

Zoya, the girl whose heart is never closed and has been always yearning for love:

Zoya is the girl who never knew what a parents love is. She just has some distant hazy memories of a past mother's love by which she is surviving. She is lucky to get the love of her Aapi and Jeeju who has looked after her. But we all know that a parent's love can never be replaced by a distant relatives love. Hence the desire to search for her father, whose love has been snatched away from her by Raziya.

Despite her yearnings for a father's love and her desire to know the truth about her past, till now, Zoya has been living a turmoil free life.

But Zoya's yearning for love is now about to get her thrown into the currents of the sea and get caught in the raging storm. The truths of the past and the truth of who she is - this is definitely going to break the spirit and the heart of this wonderful girl. And will Zoya be able to forgive the sins of the father whose love she has been yearning for? Would she be able to accept the fact that he had a hand indirectly in killing her mother and succumbing to Raziya's will, abandoned her and left her in an orphanage? Will the innocent and trusting heart of Zoya be able to cope with all these? Will Asad be there to help her at that time?

And unlike Asad, to reach a shore and safety, Zoya will additionally have to fight with the raging anger of the sea monster ( Raziya). Who will help Zoya at this crucial time?

Zoya's heart is definitely going to yearn for Asad's love during this. But will Asad realize that the girl who has managed to enter through the wall he created around his heart is herself yearning for his care and love? And will Asad realize that it is only with Zoya and her love that even he can escape this storm and reach a safety and be happy.

Rashid Ahmed Khan, the man who thought he was saving his family:

Rashid has been fighting in the sea since 17 years. He jumped into the sea thinking that by doing so he is putting his family in a ship in which he did not have any space to board but thinking that he is sending them to safety. But he did not realize that the ship had holes and would sink, leaving all of them to wage the rough sea all alone.

Rashid has now learnt a lot of truths. Will Rashid stand tall against all odds and swim the currents and save his loved ones from drowning? Or will he succumb to the circumstances again and will he be the one to get really drowned in the sea of his past mistakes and its consequences?

I really loved the way you have written about the connection of the past and the present in Asad's life.
The manner in which you have described the after effects if Raziay's evil mind on Asad's life is just amazing..
AAK is definitely swimming in a sea where he needs Zoe to save him before Tanveer the shark catches him and throws him into a dark world once again.
I really enjoyed reading mindblowing post a lot.

Excellent post! Spot on analysis. Had Ghaffoor had the strength of character to either fight for Zoya's mom and Zoya, or to end that affair with grace and compassion none of this would have happened. Razia would not have found an opportunity to step in. And then of course, the rest of the dominoes would not have fallen.
