There is a necessity for bringing tanveer into the pic, at the moment. You just have to trust the storyline, give it time to develop, let it flow before choosing to jump out of it.
Have patience. They need a third person to help better develop the characters. Like for example, what tanveer said to Zoya about Asad was new to the ear. "He only gets like that with people he really likes. He even got like that with his mom... Then had to be pacified" it's just his personality. After what happened to him, it may be hard for him to express himself, so he chooses anger to express. His mom going to work w/o telling him and he not knowing, must have caused great anxiety for him, separation anxiety, as his dad had left him.
To avoid getting hurt he feels reacting angrily and being in denial of things he wants, will help him not get hurt later. Just his normal response. It DOESN'T mean he dislikes Zoya or doesn't respect her... It just means, he cares too much abt her, that he feels he owns the right to be mad at her.
About what he says and how he talks, well that's him. Tanveer called him out on it. So it's okay. He does it to hide his feelings from himself. He doesn't want to admit it to himself. Think of it as a way for him to scold himself only by talking like that and convincing himself that he does not like her.
He is at war with his heart and mind. Nothing against Zoya!
