that's the sad thing about Asad, he has a chance for the perfect life filled with all the happiness he could ever wish for but he stands in his own way and creates misery for himself and now Zoya too.
There is nothing THAT wrong with Zoya at all, They can both adjust and live a happy married life but he doesnt want nothing less than his perfect life.

Actually, I cant see him being happy or in love with anyone other than Zoya but I can definitely imagine Zoya being happy with someone else. (not in love of course! In her heart it will always be Asad but if she does get married to someone else,hopefully a nice guy, She is the kind of girl who will give her 100% and make it work)
Whereas Asad is going to regret it badly.

He thinks he is heading towards the right path leading to his perfect life but in reality he is heading towards more pain and misery and I think he knows subconsciously but he seems to enjoy pain and misery if we go by his decisions recently 😆

Zoya is confused with her feelings..she wants attention of Asad..She is not understanding y asad is ignoring her...i think one more day if asad ignores her..she ll get a wake up call...

@Rin-Asad is a masochist of the worst kind..I agree with everything you said..The sad part is that the intensity of Asad's feelings for Zoya are much more than Zoya's for Asad at the moment..Asad has gone way past the realization and denial stage and actually taken a decision while Zoya is just about realizing her feelings..As u said, Asad will be miserable without Zoya while Zoya might be relatively more successful in finding happiness with someone else(not Ayaan pls) though she'l always continue to love Asad cos she is strong enough to accept her fate..On the other hand, Asad is extremely emotional and sensitive and will end up doing gross injustice to whoever he marries..It amazes me how Asad is hell bent on destroying his own happiness..He probably hasn't realized her worth yet and it might be too late by the time he does

I wasn't sure if I should call him masochist or not 😆 but yea that's how he is.
He is still in a bit denial mode I believe but he has decided what he wants to do and that choice just causes a lot of heartbreak especially for Zoya because she wants to believe they can be together and make it work.

I think Asad wants to deny himself that hapiness because he fears it will be snatched away from him.And his parents love story adds to his much disbelief in love. I cant figure him out. Its like he can accept anything else but not the love he feels esp for Zoya.

I truly think he will realise much too late after he has given enough heartbreak to Zoya to push her completely away. Only then he will know her worth and I hope to see him fighting for her this time rather than Zoya fighting for him always.

When Zoya was quiet,Asad made every effort to look at her and explain to her, as Zoya started joking and talking he started waving her off! The silence treatment seems to work the best for him.

Oh no no. He is being very very intentional. He most likely remembers bits and pieces of his confession. On top of that, she has validated his fears of her being a misfit by doing something that has proved to him that she is indeed a misfit and that she is undeserving: betraying his trust and tricking him into not reaching court. So now AAK is on a mission to save his heart and change his "bad" habit and he is doing that by intentionally ignoring her, by intentionally giving Tanveer more attention and by intentionally being rude and condescending with her.

As an aside, I hope she teaches him a lesson with reclaiming dignity and adopting supreme indifference. That'll teach the fool.

@Rin-If Asad isn't a masochist, who is? He unconsciously does everything that is detrimental to his interests😆..Most of his problems arise from the fact that he is psychologically damaged due to his abandonment issues and fears that he'l end up doing what his dad did years ago..The guy honestly needs therapy and counselling..It'l do him a world of good😛 .Regarding Asad fighting for his love, i don see that happening ever cos the guy in question is gonna be Ayaan..Asad due to his guilt of ill-treating Zoya and his love for Ayaan will end up giving Zoe on a platter to his brother..

I agree! Nobody ruins these indians shows but their own CVs when they get carried away with a track...and thts why if they are gonna go on with this they need to do it really carefully cuz jus in the frst episode of this track...like TODAY so many of us booked so many loopholes..wht irritated me the most...was the point where TANVIR😈 choked and asad gave her water but he ddnt give it to zoya...tht is sooo unrealistic...like hes ignoring her we get it...but u wudnt even do tht to an enemy...seeing how asad isnt stone hearted...it dddnt make any sense...and i agree how zoya is the strongest female character in almost all shows ive seen on indian tv...but no matter how independent or strong u r...when u like smbdy i think ANYBDY wud start doin childish acts to seek their attention...but later realize tht wht there doing is PATHETIC (hope zoya does too) and then totally ignore em...but again on the cvs part...i think they cudve shown zoyas attention seeking sooo much better...i liked the rahul dravid part...HATED it when she wanted him to serve her foood (like really u think thts EVER gonna happen?) and then the water part...they cudve shown her irritate him with her non sense talk...not tanvir HIM...or BETTER YET...she cudve made up her own "bachpan ka dost" and start his stories to make asad jealous...wht she did was embarrasing..i was embarassed watching it...there show is too strong for them to do all these clownish acts...

@Axiom and princessjojo-Now that you put it that way, it seems very much plausible..Asad's twisted definition of perfection and his own deep-rooted fears led to the 'misfit' comment and it is defo in character for Asad to intentionally ignore Zoya to push her away..Honestly, it is so unlike Asad to fawn over a guest, even if she is his childhood friend and if he was indeed doing it intentionally, it makes perfect sense..But am not sure whether he really knows the extent to which he is hurting Zoya..If he also remembers Zoya's confession, he is probably trying his best to make her fall out of love as well..I really wish Zoya starts ignoring him from tom cos thats the best way to grab his attention
