Yaar!
Zoe ki bhi kya dhoop-chhaaon jaisi kismat hai. Jab chalni chaahiye, tab chalti nahiin. Aur jab nahiin chalni chahiye, tab toh definitely Formula 1 racing car ki tarah daudhti hai. Didn't get it? Wait. Let me use my minimal grey matter to explain it. Destiny was on Zoe's side when she had to stop Asad from reaching Bhopal, when she had to get seduced in intoxication by Asad, when she had to hear the golden words of confession from Asad. Abb use kya pataa tha that this master stroke of kismat will bajaao her band the very next morning.
Asad ne ex-Asad ki tarah Zoe ko deewaar se chipkaa nahiin diyaa aur uski arms ka pulp nahiin banaa diyaa, ye Zoe ki kismat aur Asad ki akal hai. Asad left Zoe alone in temper , told her in utter anger that he doesn't want to look at her face again - ye kismat ka twist hai and how! Lucky Zoe . Zoe ke hisse ki dhunaai CID-inspired darwaaza-tod-do style mein bungalow ke door ki ho gayee. Asad left her behind so that she can fall victim to the joke of fate by witnessing Asad in another woman's arms - that's unlucky Zoe.
But let me leave Asad in his gusse ki ubli hui chaai-pattii today as for a CHANGE , is anger can be justified and badhaai ho, Zoe ke saath 'domestic violence' hote hote reh gaya. Thappad ki goonj ke baad Asad ki akal 0.0000001% hi sahee, but thikaane aa gayee hai.
My concern today is Zoe and our new chikni chameli Salwaar-Kameez.
Zoe , who has always craved Asad's attention is slowly and hurtfully coming to the realization that she perhaps craves for his love. Earlier, it was in the back of her head and under the unconscious layers of her heart. Now, it has hit her as hard as a tight slap across her heart. If its not destiny's pointer , then, what it is that she , while dozing off in the bus remembered what Asad had told her under intoxication- his confession that he is nuts about her. Before she can consciously accept the reality of the words, her bus meets with an accident. Part 2 of destiny's plan comes into play. Another woman leads Asad back to where his vulnerable and injured Zoe is . Asad could have easily seen Zoe, had he been looking around for salwaar-kameez. But he spotted Salwaar-Kameez from a distance and ran in the line of his sight. Emotionally spurred and worried, true to his emotionally hyper character under trauma - he instantly embraced his childhood friend in relief and concern that she is unharmed. Zoe , on whose face the look of having been found by her saviour had returned and who had unconsciously raised her arms so that she could be home (Asad) had to witness the 'reality' and 'possibility' that she has reached a stage where she cannot bear Asad's indifference and hatred. A stage where for her its Asad-Zoe, Zoe-Asad, AsYa and no third party has any business. Above all, the sense of premature loss that Asad could 'possibly' belong to another woman.
Sometimes, you have to be shaken out of your bubble to make you realize what your reality is. Asad knows that he loves Zoe but he has chosen to shut down his heart. His wake up call is to ACCEPT that Zoe is the misfit he wants to spend his life with. Zoe is tied to Asad emotionally but she has no clue to how deeply she has fallen for Asad. Her wake up call is to REALIZE that Asad is the one she loves and cannot live without.
Third angles, enemies, complicated situations , adverse future possibilities - they not only test strength of character , strength of relationships but also bring in the realization that who really is yours and where you belong exactly.
In real time, the embrace of Asad and salwaar-kameez is of course short-lived but to you, the scene has been shown from Zoe's POV for whom that hug froze in time and in her heart as the pain of seeing Asad in another woman's arms grilled her. All memories of her and Asad flooded her as the sense of loss of Asad slowly spawned over her.
The precap shows you how hard it is for Asad and Zoe to deal with feelings and their denial and nonacceptance at the same time. Asad's voice is smooth and in-control as he tries to tell Zoe that he didn't know she was on that bus and how worried he was . His eyes say a different story. Zoe is hurt , in tears and a tad angry but when he says that , she turns to him with such a depressed face. Lol. Matters of the heart are more complicated than its diagram. To love and yet to be unable to deal with it. Human brain and human heart never fails to surprise me.
For the rest of the episode, we saw this coming Badi Bi's way. You can match Razia's brain but you cannot match her devilry. I don't call that stunning sorceress a tigress for nothing. Zyada corner karne ki koshish karoge toh, shikaar toh karegi hi na?
Rashid-Shireen-Dilshad were a BEAUTIFUL scene. Two women in love with the same man and yet each knowing his/her limits and positions. Quite a parallel to Asad-Zoe-Tanveer today but one hopes Asad-Zoe will have a happier future.
And as i sign off after a fantastic episode, i cannot help but mention how unlucky Zoe is when it comes to seeing and feeling Asad's love. She will never know how Asad felt when he saw her for the first time at the Holy Dargah. She will never see how Asad sat holding her hand and fighting back tears when he rescued her from Chakram. She will never get to see, feel or understand Asad's breakdown and trauma when he almost lost her at Mangalpur. She will never get to know how Asad fought and shut down his feelings for her. She will not see how Asad loses it all over again tomorrow when she collapses in his arms. Hosh mein hotee hai toh bas Asad ka gussa aur uskaa MCP-panaa dikhta hai. Behosh hoti hai to Asad ka pyaar dekh nahiin saktee. Such black humour.
Salwaar Kameez? Haseen hai. Naazneen hai. Par husn ke parde mein kya laayi hai, uskaa filhaal na toh aasmaan , na zameen hai. Welcome to the story and the team, Nisha. :-)
P.S- Just wanted to say that people are people. We all have histories . We all have different levels of weaknesses and different degrees of strength. We all have a backstory and a story. We have not lived everyone's lives and we can never imagine just how broken and dead people can be. We have to understand that some of us are so damaged on the inside, that it can take an entire lifetime to fix a small knot in our souls. Each one of us has a soul that has given out a SOS call at some point of time. If we spend our lives judging people , we will never have an open heart , we will never be able to love them and we will never be able to fix them. Everything in a human-being is forgivable as long as they have a heart that even if not flawless, holds a promise of flawlessness.
