Doodhya's Musings. March 1st, 2013.

Qubool Hai

The story of two families torn apart by a sociopathic woman with a heart of stone and layers of makeup. Two hearts -- wait! make that 5 hearts that beat as two. Three on one side and two on the other.

You might ask who?

There is a love triangle - an isosceles triangle if I may - of Rashid and Dilshad being the base, and Shireen being the apex. She, of the frizzy hair and spaced out look. It is Rashid and Dilshad that hold up Shireen. The phone call between Shireen and Dilshad proves it. She calls on Dilshad when she cannot go visit Rashid. Now the triangle has shifted, and Rashid is at the apex, Shireen and Dilshad are at the bottom!

The other love story is that of two brothers - step brothers. Separated by fate in the form of Razia, and a mysterious fire - well, the fire isn't a real mystery anymore, seeing as their Dad was the one who set it. It's the aftermath of the fire around which everything revolves at this point. And a doll that is reminiscent of Chucky's bride.

So now we have a lot of mysteries in today's episode.

First up - Billo Rani. Why does she not wax her upper lip for a close up? All that glowing golden fur was purely unprofessional. Besides fur-less cats are so much more ... menacing! Remember Austin Powers?

Now Raziya stands in an open space calling out to her little kitty to come and help out. Why the terrace? The terrace is closed on one side, and open on three sides. It tells you that there is one and only one way to enter the terrace - from the one side. But you can leave it from any side - any of the three-hundred-and-sixty degrees offered to you. You can see what you want to and you can take the path that you want to. However, there is only one path that reaches a safe haven - and that is the truth!

What is Razia's truth? How many more truths remain uncovered? She is always heavily veiled. Yes! Raizia's clothes are also telling us that she prefers to keep herself fully covered. Literally and figuratively.

Coming to the choking scene. Its a very straightforward scene. Someone wants to scare Razia using her own tactics. Go, unseen person, Go!!

And now we come to Asad and Zoya. Asad takes Zoya house hunting. Oh, not that kind of house hunting. This one involves Zoya's missing father.

Point to be noted here is Asad's car's license plate. Interestingly, we rarely see that black SUV parked outside his house even when he is at home. But coming back to the car. The number plate reads - MP 01AV 1661. What happened in Bhopal in 1661? And what bearing will it have on the story? Only time and the CVs will tell.

As they walk in through the door, Zoya coughs and chokes. Something is stuck in her throat. Whatever she will say from this point forward, will not be clear to anyone, including the viewers. Her thoughts and voice are chocked by the dust of the past. It is rising around her like a cloud.

As she walks in, we see a spider's web. Now count the strands because I didn't. But something tells me there are 1661 strands in the web. In the middle is the black widow spider. Will Zoya walk into the spider's trap. Is this in fact, a spider's trap? If so, who is the spider that has lured her here?

The room is full of cracked mirrors and glass. Time is the mirror that has cracked. Time is what is distorting yet revealing the truth, but not the full picture.

Zoya finds the matching picture to her picture. It is hung on a wall, surprisingly clean and clear. Seventeen, or however many years have passed. But the picture remains clear. It is the only part of the past that is clear.

It is Asad who follows her into her dark past. Who is seeing the same distortions as she is seeing. It is Asad who pulls the picture down, brings it to the light, so that she can see it too. What this signifies is that it will be Asad who will be shining the light on Zoya's past. It is Asad who will reveal the truth, even though Zoya may find it first!

Oh and by the way, the doll is Zoya's. Yeah.

Is mein kya shaq hai? Sab kismat ki luck hai??

Love your take on mitwa... never thought bromance would be so interesting. Please write more often. To add to your analysis... please accept my small sincere findings...

1661
1+6+6+1 = 14
1+4 = 5

It is the number of the harmony and the balance. It is also the number of the divine grace. The number 5 is a characteristic of the man. First, according to the Cabal, it is the number of the perfect Man (got rid from his animal side). According to the Bible, it is the symbol of the Man-God by the five wounds of the Christ on cross (for this reason, it is also considered as the number of the grace). But it is also associated to the man in general (2 + 3) having an unstable character of duality, 2, in spite of his divinity, 3. The 5 is also found on the human body: the five fingers of the hand and feet, the five senses (touch, taste, sense of smell, hearing and the sight), the five members (two arms, two legs and the head, the bust being the center), the five bones forming the metacarpus, the metatarse and the brain-pan, etc. Here it fits the character of ASAD perfectly. Look how he is a man with a god like with two hands, two legs but with 5 fingers and toes on each hand and leg. He is graceful and unstable as well... One minute he is all high and mighty with grace and next minute he is crying and self sympathizing. and he is so judicious that he is ready to take his own father to the gallows. Asad is number 5
The number 5 is also considered as the mediator between God and the universe, the five is regarded as a symbol of the universe.Symbol of the will's divine.Symbol of the perfection in the Mayas... See the way he is responsible for bringing zoyas past in front.
Please let me know if my writing makes sense to you... All bricks and bouquets are welcome..

Doodhya...interesting uncovering of hidden meanings...!!!

My small take on the latest addition to the mix...Billo Rani...

Cats are also known as familiars...because they keep some interesting company...!! Thy r besties with witches, help bring the demons & evil in this realm...!!!

Hence in many households...a Cat is not welcome...because they r believed to be the devil's consorts...!!

So Billo Rani is a true catwoman...her whiskers r the mark of her personality...an indicator of her true nature...!!!
Her white eyes reflect her pure intentions towards her companion...her witch...her Razia...whose purring voice, while ran shivers down r back...it created quite a diff reaction in her Cat...friend...!!

I dont think the weather would permit black leather...but v can always hope...lets c...

I hope I ve been able to.put my pt across without hurting any sensibilities & sentimentalities.

@Paayaal - My dear. You are absolutely correct. I was amiss in not noticing that. Although as you will see, I have remarked on the association of cats - with villains. Truly, Razia now has a familiar. Although that does beg the question. If BR is Razia's familiar - what does that make Gafoor?

@Twisted_beenz - I loved reading your take on the decoding with numbers. It truly opened my eyes into how the minds of the CVs work! I await more of your insightful posts on this forum eagerly!

Gafoor is just a mortal who is being controlled & used by the Witch to stay in the realm & do her dirty work...!!!

Doodhya ... welcome to the forum .. dunno if u know this ... ur name is an amalagmation of 2 of the most GREATEST writers on IF .. people .. who live & breathe to "DECODE" ...
& must say u r doing the moniker full justice ..

What an incredible "decoding" ... u know the "smoke Screen oops Scene" was constantly niggling me .. i was sure it packed a whole hog of hidden meaning in it .. & here u have "decoded" it so brilliantly .. i mean what an indepth understanding u have of the writers mind .. for me it was a blast from the past ... the "originals " would constantly lay bare for us such hidden meanings of the plot ..

Thank u Thank u .. was so missing them ..

JUst wanted to ask .. will u be doing numerology as well .. & more importantly will u be explaining future plots thru placement of characters in a scene .. panting to read those ..

Dear redwine ... i am honored that you would think of placing me... a newbie.. with such people... but thank you.. I am lucky to be able to help you understand the underlying plots and hidden meanings that 4L so often include in their scripts...

I don't know much about numerology .. but yes of course.. character placement on screen is an important part of understanding what the director wishes us to see ...

so that will deifinitely be up for decoding..
